I'm sending out PayPal payment requests for shipping of items that were purchased a few years back (some from as early as 2018), that were never sent due to the pandemic shutting down shipping, and/or because buyers requested holds but didn't purchase any other items.

Hi! Long time no post.

Sorry I've neglected Tumblr in favor of Twitter, which has been way more active for me for the past few years.

I've been trying to come here as well as posting on my new main @bitchfacetokiya (the old one has been archived since it can't become a primary blog) but I've been really busy with trying to keep up with UtaPri merch which has gotten insane after Starish Tours.

Anyway, I have quite a few items that have been left unshipped due to the COVID pandemic, and even after a few attempts to contact early on, it seems they've gone long forgotten. So I'm posting here one last time to see if anyone who's bought something from me and never received is willing to have their items sent out!

I'll try to post some photos in the next few days to refresh anyone's memory, and if there's no claim on them, I'll either add them to my shop or they're going away to a secondhand shop!

Lastly, I've made a Carrd with group order and shop details (I try to update after every few group orders and I'm still active on Twitter via ryuyabear (it's a protected account so please request to follow). I may come back to post once in a while if I have time, but if you're looking to buy merch, Twitter is the fastest way to find out what I have!

Moved to a primary blog!!

After 7 (8?) years of having this blog, I've decided to archive it in favor of making a primary blog with more admin options (I've been running this one as a secondary this entire time since I never realized I'd be into UtaPri for this long!) The primary blog is bitchfacetokiya, the same name this one used to have. I may be reblogging or reposting some of my favorite posts there, and as a primary blog I can finally follow other people, so please feel free to follow! I've also started a directory where I'd like to collect sources of UtaPri translations from others in the fan community. If you're a fan translator and would like to submit your site please do! Thank you all so much for following me here all these years! I know I've been way more active on Twitter for quite some time but I'm hoping I can find a better way to update on Tumblr from now on! ☆

[Fanfiction] Filmstrip (Part 1)

After all these years, I've finally written a fanfiction for UtaPri (and my first one since high school). It's a oneshot of Ren and Tokiya (of course). I intended for it to be TokiRen, but it can be read as RenToki as well (in the future I plan to write a Part 2 for both scenarios). It's non-explicit but there's implication towards the end, so I've labeled it for sexual themes just in case (Part 2 will be explicit). Story is below the cut--I hope you enjoy!

“...please stop saying I’m cute.” Without even turning to look at Ren standing over him behind the couch, Tokiya already knew there was a mischievous grin on his face. He could feel it–or maybe what he was feeling was just the burning of his face from embarrassment. He turned a page in his book as smoothly as he possibly could. “But you are? Just look at this smile!!” Ren replied, unwilling to acknowledge Tokiya’s request. He knew that ‘c’ word wasn’t Icchi’s favorite but he couldn’t help it this time. Two days before, he had managed to hide his identity and sneak into the theater to watch Maji Love Starish Tours–very much to Tokiya’s disapproval–but he absolutely needed to get those tiny film strips that everyone was raving about, even if it was just one.

He lucked out–even though he went in not having any preferred shots, the first one he got was one to die for–a close-up of his precious Icchi, eyes closed with the purest, most child-like smile on his face during START OURS. As soon as Ren saw it, he knew he had to place it in a clear sleeve, and then in a protective card case, to keep it safe from any damage. At some point he’ll probably have his butler George take it to a photo studio to get a blown-up print from one of the frames.

Tokiya was somewhat curious about which smile Ren was talking about, but resisted and continued reading. Suddenly the book in his hands went from chest level into his lap; Ren had pushed it down and crouched down on the floor in front of him. He was beaming. “Such joy, I wonder what you were thinking of,” he mused, holding the sleeved film by the edges up to Tokiya’s face. Ren's eyes squinted slightly as he looked up at his lover.

Tokiya's gaze narrowed at the piece of plastic in front of him. His jaw clenched tightly at the thought of the camera possibly capturing his face in what he’d consider an unflattering form. But he and Ren have always been very mindful of camera positions and angles during any and every performance. Besides, they’re professionals who rehearse many times, and they always review their work post-production, so there shouldn’t be any reason to worry. But this filmstrip movie bonus was something new for them. Even though they were told all of the undesirable and blank shots would be excluded, the idea of having thousands of possible shots cut up and distributed, and one of them getting into the hands of–

“Icchi…Icchi? Icchi. ICCHI!!”

He could feel several taps on his right thigh and finally snapped out of his daze. His eyes re-focused–not even having taken in a clear image of the film in Ren’s possession–and he glanced past it to see his orange-haired partner with a mix of concern and confusion on his face.

Ren’s eyebrows furrowed. “If it’s really not okay, I can give it away,” he pouted.

This time it was Tokiya’s turn to squint. Nice try putting on the sad kitten face, Ren. “And to whom would you be giving it?”

The sad kitten face turned into a sneaky cat grin. “Probably Bukki or Ikki–”

“ABSOLUTELY NOT.” Tokiya pulled the cased filmstrip out of Ren’s grasp and held it up high–somehow still being sensitive to the film’s fragility–and Ren let out a hearty laugh. Still kneeling on the floor with his left hand on Tokiya’s thigh, he stretched his right arm up for the film, which was obviously out of his reach.

“Be careful Icchi,” he chuckled. “If I have George take it to a secondhand shop it has to be in pristine condition!” “You’re not doing that either!!” As feasible as it would be for the butler to visit a shop in Ren’s place, it would probably be better to not get any more people involved. A fellow professional having a filmstrip wasn’t really all that bad so there was no reason to try to rectify the situation.

“Then what am I supposed to do?” Ren whined. He lowered his arm, and pressed both hands lightly into each of Tokiya’s thighs, using them for support as he started to get up.

Maybe it was the continued weight on his lap activating a particular mood within him, but Tokiya’s inner greed wanted to take Ren’s question as an invitation to make demands and then indulge. His defiance slowly waned as he closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them, he directed his gaze towards Ren’s face. “Can you give me something in return?”

Ren, not one to falter so easily, turned his mouth up slightly into a subtle smile. “Of course. And what would that be?”

With his free hand, Tokiya tugged lightly on Ren’s shirt to bring his body closer to his own, fixing his turquoise eyes on the ocean blues in front of him. Without looking away, he placed the filmstrip between the open pages of the book in his lap, no longer interested in what the shot looked like.

“I want you to show me a face that not even the fans nor cameras can see.”

Ren’s expression changed from curiosity to one of calculation. Hands still pressed onto Tokiya’s thighs, he finally shifted his weight and pulled himself up onto the sofa next to him. His eyes searched Tokiya's face as he leaned closer, eager to see where his partner was going to take this conversation before his desires got the best of him. “You sure you don’t want cameras?” he teased.

“Are you implying the image would be forgettable?” Tokiya countered coolly. He caressed Ren’s cheek and further closed the distance between them. “Or that it won’t happen more than once?”

Ren huffed slightly while trying not to break his smile. Seeing this, Tokiya closed the open book in his lap–sandwiching the filmstrip inside as a bookmark to keep his place–and reached past Ren to set it on the side table behind him. As he did so, he pressed his lips against Ren’s ear. “Or perhaps you want to watch yourself afterwards…?” Ren swallowed hard at the scandalous image Tokiya just put in his head. He knew Icchi was always hiding a beast when in the public eye, but since their last concert, he's grown even bolder and more confident than Ren expected he would, not just on stage but also when they were alone. Until now he always had the upper hand in their playful banter; he was starting to lose control–or perhaps starting to relinquish it more willingly–and Tokiya was quick to take advantage of his vulnerability.

Releasing the book onto the table, Tokiya leaned back to see that his beau was no longer smiling, but instead biting his lower lip, chest heaving as exhales of air escaped through his nose. Tokiya stood up from the couch, looked down at the man who was just a moment away from conceding defeat, and held out his hand.

“Come,” he whispered, nodding his head towards the bedroom. “Let’s go find your camera.”

When the credits were rolling, did they feature stills of QN, HEAVENS, the presidents of Shining Agency and Raging Entertainment, the teachers (Ringo and Ryuya) and Tomochika in the audience, and Haruka backstage?

On Starish tours, were there full performances of the songs or were they shorted like in Kingdom?

They're short versions, but the solo performances were longer than the Kingdom shuffle units!

Re starish tours impressions write up, I'd love to see stuff about the staging and how the guys interacted with the sets and stuff!! The outfits are so good, I'm curious what else was done to compliment the performance!! Hopefully this makes sense lol

Okay hopefully I can do this without being too detailed!!!

The stage is set up with each idol having their own mini stage, based on the country/area they visited. They're also different shapes, although I don't know if that carries any significance. If you were to sort the members by how much movement around the stage/arena was involved, Otoya and Masato were probably the most stationary, followed by Natsuki and Ren who had more of a "real world" type stage setting using different props. Syo and Cecil moved around the entire arena, and Tokiya's fell somewhat in the middle, using props but also very dynamic in movement. Without even understanding the lyrics, each solo performance told a visual story, and I would highly recommend going back to watch 1000% and 2000% at minimum before seeing the movie to understand the symbolism depicted in each set! For the cross unit songs UUUU (4U) and SAMURAIZM, the former highlighted individual dances while the latter was about coordination and synchronicity. Their outfits seem to have an East/West type of look, but my friend said that 4U kind of reminded them of K-Pop, although I don't know enough to really agree or disagree. I can't really say much about Maji Love Starish Tours, I think that's a fun opening song and performance that reintroduces the group. But the performance for START OURS is as beautiful as the song is! I hope that was enough without giving anything away!!

Re: Puroland - How big were the acryllic stands? I'm guessing the can badges were the same size as they were normally. You mentioned the can badges were so nice, how did they design the can badges for the Puroland merch? Did it have sparkles or something like that?

The acrylic stands are 17cm tall (the chibi ones about 10cm tall) and the can badges are actually 75mm wide, so they're of the bigger variety rather than the usual 57 or 54mm. They also had a star pattern hologram which is absolutely gorgeous! I'll have to post photos later, but if you're on Twitter you can see some of the merch in the live I did a about a week ago! Did any of the Puroland merch catch your eye? You mentioned the line was long, and that it was a limited collab. Also, what was your favorite part of the collab? And for merch, did you have a favorite type of merch from the collab?

Immediately I wanted the full-sized acrylic stands so I got Tokiya's, Ren's, and Ranmaru's (Kuromi is my favorite Sanrio character)! But when I saw the can badges in person I decided to get those too! They're so gorgeous that I'm tempted to get a full set! It seems that the rubber straps are really popular--I'm not particularly interested but they were the first item to sell out. It's hard to say what my "favorite" part of the collab was because it was just made up of a lot of little things here and there. But I always just enjoy being in a sea of other UtaPri fans and seeing what characters they like, how they dress and what merch they're carrying! It was a challenge for me to decide what to wear because I wanted to coordinate with Kuromi but I also wanted to make it clear that Ren and Tokiya were actually my two favorites. But overall I really liked the matchups because Little Twin Stars is my other favorite and My Melody goes with Kuromi, so it all worked out perfectly for me when deciding what to collect!

Puroland questions! What was the extent of the collaboration of Utapri in Purand? Was it minor, or did they have lots of merch and decorations?

Honestly the theme park itself didn't have much! Around the park there were standees of the idols set up, and one of the eating areas sold collab desserts. Other than that, you could barely tell that a collaboration was happening if it weren't for all the fans there ^^; hopefully they'll do more in the future outside of the theme park!

what was the collab like!! ive never been to puroland so i have no clue how things are set up there; was there just a designated area where merch and stuff was sold? did you see many other fans? i hope puroland was fun!!!

Puroland is basically an indoor kiddie theme park, there's a couple of gift/souvenir shops, rides and attractions, and parades, all contained in one castle-like building. The merch was all sold in the main shop by the entrance so there was a loooooooooong line on the first and second days that went all around the inside of the park! Pretty much 90% of the people I saw were all there for UtaPri! Tickets are limited in number per day so fans definitely grabbed then for the first weekend (I bought mine nearly a month in advance)! It was fun but I admit definitely not geared towards my age group XD

Sanrio x Shining Live Q&A?

Anyone still here on Tumblr? If so, anyone have questions about the Shining Live collab with Sanrio characters? I went to Puroland this past Saturday (first time!) so I'm open to answering anything!
