Anyone else thought of the Sage of Truth and Truthless Recluse AU, and was like ‘what if the spire at the peak of truth is fake, so it’s always cold’. A gentle lie trying to mask away the chill of truth.

No, just me? Well then!

Imagine Sage goes up to the ‘spire’ to talk to the recluse, but instead of knocking his hand goes through the door and that truth is revealed.

So people like my Souljam Swap AU it seems. I’m working on the Crispia post(s), but I’m wondering if I should try recreating interactions and such with this AU. So, resulting to a poll! I will do thé Crispia post(s) eventually either way.

But like, the characters all keep the same roles.

So like Dark Cacao has Apathy, but is an Ancient, went to the dark flour war, fought, Ect. He tamed the two dragons.

CRK BEAST YEAST 10 SPOILERS AHEAD!! Minor but still.

So a lot would be the same or similar to canon. But changing the souljams does cause a lot of issues. Like how would each work as good/bad? Why would the beasts have the side that sounds better?

Mystic Flour is not too difficult. Turning everything to flour, believing it’s right, it’s her resolution. So what if she’s alone with only a few cookies remain, she has already decided her ways.

Burning Spice takes abundance to an extreme, not caring about the lives of spices and cookies, as long as he keeps the treasures he have, valuing them more. But the treasures are no longer helping him through. Maybe fighting his other half, give a bit of risk to it..

Shadow Milk tells the truth, the very cruel truths, enjoying how the other cookies are affected when unsaid words gets under their dough. He is brutally honest, telling the cookies what they don’t want to hear.

Eternal Sugar has passion for her garden, making the other cookies in a state of fake happiness and fake passion. She gives them what they are ‘most passionate about’. Those who try to leave must try to deal with the many monsters on the outside. How tragic. A place perfect for her other half (who she is passionate about)!!

Silent Salt, well wouldn’t be called that anymore. I’m going with destructive freedom of speech for now. There are protests and such, but they would take it too far. Sometimes crumbling a cookie for something, or hiding how they feel. (JUST THOUGHTS!!)

Now onto the ancients!

Dark Cacao already feels apathy to me, but his apathy makes him a good judge and leader. Not caring for another cake hound crumbling, not having anything to stand in his way to seal the dragons away so they will stop fighting. He is calculative. He can work this through.

Golden Cheese as Destruction is weird, so this is mostly me sprouting some non-sense. So she is destructive, unyielding. She use her destructive tendencies to protect those she cares for the most. Destruction acting more for protecting. Controlled destruction, because everything needs to destroy something in their lives. She just wish it didn’t have to be her kingdom.

Pure Vanilla, holder of truth- wait a moment. Pure Vanilla often use white lies, softer lies to help cookies feel better. He will save all he can and be the greatest healer in all of Earthbred. So what if he continues to lie about what his souljam is so they will trust him further? So what if he takes on a couple disguises to heal more cookies, as well as take care of their mental health. He often falls into doubt, most often towards himself. Who would care about Pure Vanilla’s mental health anyways? Not Pure Vanilla!

Hollyberry knows work needs to be done, but there’s also time for breaks. As the ancient of sloth, she knows cookies need to take breaks so times. On adventures she would convince her companions to have periodic breaks to do what they want for a bit before continuing. It increase motivation when you get back to whatever. So what if she needs a giant break from Queen duty so she runs away? So what if she is hardly sober in her own kingdom? That’s fine. She’s totally fine! Not like the others can tell! (Pure Vanilla can, but he’s afraid would trap himself in his lies and they find out.)

White Lily is more of a listener. As silence, I’m taking it as hiding away. She hardly even talk about her problems or how she feels. She would much rather listen to the other’s issues and give a small bit of input when they need. She has also literally been silenced, never to say what she seen at the witches’ banquet. She may never get to share what she knows. She struggles to let people into her heart. Only her closest friends may know what she feels inside, and her opinions.

So most canon somewhat stays the same.

So

Beast yeast, right?

It starts the same, as the Brave Gang knows Pure Vanilla as the Ancient of Truth. They crash into Beast Yeast, and meet Caramillion Cookie (I can’t spell that one). They find the light of silence and Pure Vanilla learns what White Lily’s been hiding from everyone. Of course he blames himself. He soon meets the fairies and Elder Fairy. Elder Fairy asks Pure Vanilla if he really had the light of truth, because in his story Shadow Milk is left with the light of truth. And Pure Vanilla, for the first time is caught in this lie. Either way, Elder Fairy trusts Pure Vanilla, and they wake up White Lily. Elder Fairy sacrifices himself after Shadow Milk gets out, and starts the game show. Pure Vanilla knows everything the milky cookie says is true. After a threat, White Lily activates her new guardian powers, resealing the tree. Later she confronts Pure Vanilla, who only admits to the listener, how he lied, and really holds the souljam of deceit.

Mystic Flour can only make cookies with desires into flour. So she gets her other half to desire the cookies. Desire something. Dark Cacao results in losing the small bit of desire he has left, only focused on his duty as king to stop the plague. Yes dragons come out and start fighting, but he awakens, forcing the dragons to follow the calculated one.

Burning Spice always believed his other half may come and try to destroy his treasures. So he calls upon his spice army to fight Golden Cheese and Smoked Cheese. After a while, Golden Cheese and Burning Spice fight, and Golden Cheese gets taken down after destroying a rock that was barreling towards a kid! Soon enough Golden Cheese and Smoked Cheese gets captured. Burning Spice now feeling like he needs an abundance of these fights. Golden cheese manage to destroy the lock enough to leave. And back to fighting, and Golden Cheese Awakens, beating Burning Spice as his temple crumbles to the ground. Burning Spice is now angry at her for ‘trying to destroy his treasures’.

The moment Shadow Milk sees his other half at the spire, is the moment he knew what he should do. Force his other half towards the brutal truth! How fun! He will proceed to torture Pure Vanilla mentally while the group(Gingerbrave, Wizard, Strawberry) is running in circles. Candy Apples tells them that. Pure Vanilla, already regretting some of his lies and not mentally okay in the first place, after what feels like hours, allows himself to fall into the truth. The forbidden knowledge, and knowledge of the world permanently eating away at him. Then Shadow Milk tests how truthful the previous deceitful cookie is. The deceit souljam corrupting, and the trio tries to help the vanilla cookie. In the end, Vanilla tricks Shadow Milk at his own game of truth. Ending with wanting to be Shadow Milk’s friend, but how would the beast know if his other half is lying? Curse him.

When Hollyberry went searching for Pure Vanilla, she found the garden of working cookies, their passions changed, to be forever happy. Hollyberry realize how over worked the cookies are. But the others don’t dare to leave, as monsters will attack, plus they’re ‘happy’ there. Eventually she face the Sugar cookie, and fights against her, telling her how the cookies needs breaks and some negativity is ok, it makes real happiness. No cookie can be forever happy. Of course, the result is the same as in canon.

I can’t do White Lily and Silent Salt, because that one’s not out yet.

Delaying posting the oddity because HALF MY FILE GOT ACCIDENTALLY DELETED- AH- sorry about that.

Anyways! Sweetheart Cherry Cookie 100% picks at his jacket. More of a nervous/possible ADHD/depression thing, plus the divorce made everything worse. It started tearing, and he can’t afford to get another, with sending child support and such.

If he was in CRK I think he would be kinda like Agar Agar in switching elements based on characters. I’m thinking based on what Ancients or Beasts in the team, but he is best as purely elemental type magics. If support, he buffs the certain element with a certain multiplier that would be the same throughout all the elements. If Bomber or Magic, would have the same multiplier for whichever element, but as attack instead. If multiple beasts and/or ancients are on the team Cooldown maybe better, as he would rotate which element he uses. (Or maybe splits all the elements up into like 1/2 for 2, Ect.)

I’ve been thinking of this. He would be temporarily meta for some elements, where others he lack. Like if Bomber/Magic, he maybe meta with wind and such, where fire and lightning would be unlikely.

Just my thoughts on what his mechanics may be.

His story would probably be around the time White Lily got the moonstone in the academy and doing her experiments. He’s off for ONE DAY and the academy is destroyed, other proffers turned to ghosts. Wow, now he won’t be able to afford his place. Time to get a new job. Maybe one day he can get his kids back.

Of course there would be flashbacks to his divorce. You know him well enough for that!

Small bit of backstory I started for Sweetheart Cherry Cookie.

He attended the academy as a student first. He wasn’t originally going to apply, but a Blueberry Yogurt Academy Advisor told him to try out. So he did, and got in.

He was never a trouble kid, fixing more messes then anything. A good student.

Anyways we may go into that further later on. Just small mentions if any. Thank you all!

So. I guess some canon and headcanons below! (Mostly canons)

His ex took the kids and all the spoons in the divorce. (I’m still working out everything in the divorce that was split, but still.)

He is actually really smart, and good at problem solving.

Approximately 50% of what he says has some sort of mention of his divorce.

If he were in CRK, he would be either Magic, Support, or Bomber. He supports his students, and would give office hours if asked.

He actually wasn’t the problem in the relationship, but he was on the receiving end of the divorce papers. He is a sweetheart after all! (Pun intended)

He never had a chance to go to therapy about it. Instead he dug into his work, resentful towards his ex (letting everyone know). At the same time missing his kids.

Basically, as a Cherry, he lost his pair.

Below you will see my current design. I think I’m keeping the eyes like that, heterochromatic, but not in the way it would impact the story. Many cookies may have heterochromatic. eyes, but besides Main cast, both eyes will always be the same. Like Sweetheart Cherry Cookie has two eye colors, but in both eyes. If that makes sense.

Either way! Here is the current design I made for Post-Divorse Sweetheart Cherry. Hope it helps! Clothing can change, and hair can definitely change. (I have a habit of drawing spiky like hair when drawing. Half the reason Lumi is so difficult for me to draw.)

Anyways! I only write platonic ships, so I don’t think my headcanons for how gay everything is, is important.

But I do write Cloud Haetae and Silent Salt as Non-Binary! As well as many other characters we just haven’t reached. Any that maybe considered non-binary is canon, I try to write as such.

Not me wanting to write another fanfic on top of The Oddity.

I’ll give some basics so far.

I’m uncertain of the beasts’ ages (adult or teen), but the government rescued them and put them on an undercover mission is a very suspicious school.

Using their beast name as Undercover names and similar as their regular names. I would likely use Luminescent for real name of Shadow Milk.

The ancients are all friends in the school. (A pile of random cookies are also in the school). White Lily talks about how her twin sister, Dark Enchantress, went missing a few weeks before the beasts show up. Of course the beasts have an eye on the group. (You know the pairs.)

We follow Shadow Milk, who is trying to figure out why Pure Vanilla seems so perfect. No matter what he finds it just solidifies the notion everyone else have, on how perfect the blonde is.

After a week of spying and searching, finding nothing, he finally admits there maybe nothing to be found. Only then does he start to actually see the cracks in the facade. Finally he can see that everything about the ancient group is not what they seem.

Who knew the school is riddled with so much? It becomes terrifying terrible really quick for Shadow Milk. With knowledge that the missing Dark Enchantress might’ve been the one to bring it up to the government in the first place. He needs to piece everything together before something terrible happens.

Before any Sacrifices happen.

I’m thinking something to do with cherries because they are dependent. Maybe like Sour Cherry Cookie, or Cherry Leaf Cookie. Also varieties are options, like Kordia Cookie, or Sweetheart Cherry Cookie.

We can also use something completely different like Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie, or a different pastry all together! Cherry Cheesecake Cookie? I might draw what I think they would look like with whatever name is chosen. So, any ideas?

Also what pronouns should I use for them??
