Sal’s Klaine Fic Rec List:
Note that this list is not complete, I’ll keep adding more fics. So keep checking! And these are all complete.
The Problem With Perfection: Kurt and Blaine go their separate ways after the failure of their marriage. When Kurt receives a call years later that Blaine has been in an accident, he’s unsure how to react. Especially since Blaine doesn’t remember they’re divorced. Amnesia!Blaine
Loving You Is Easy: Single parent Kurt is moving back to Ohio. Having been hurt before, will he ever find anyone to love and trust again?
I’ve Been Looking for You Forever: AU Blaine Anderson is cruel, hard, unforgiving and abused, and the only thing that brings light to his life is a boy that can’t even see it. BadBoy!Blaine Blind!Kurt written for Warblerinfections. M for language, SC and violence.
A Song For Cordelia: Kurt never called Blaine after the break up, despite Isabelle’s advice. It was not out of spite, or because he didn’t believe she was right, but because his heart didn’t know how to forgive. Five years later, when their paths cross once more, Kurt and Blaine decides to be friends again - just friends. But where the heart goes, the man follows…
The sequels:
5. One Of The Good Guys:  This is a story about a love; big enough to survive. And it’s about forgiveness, second chances and trusting that there is something good in us all. “One Of The Good Guys” takes place a year after “A Song For Cordelia”.
6. Carry Me Home: Things are moving fast for Kurt and Blaine, who seems to have a perfect life in New York. More success is just around the corner and the future looks bright. But the high pace gradually wears Blaine out and hard decisions have to be made. This is the third and last part of Cordelia story, following A Song For Cordelia and One Of The Good Guys.
7. The Awakening: Kurt Hummel has put his perfect life together carefully, making sure all the pieces fit exactly how he wanted them to. But all it takes is one name from his past to make all his hard work go to waste - Blaine Anderson.
8. Heart Without a Home: Kurt Hummel is just another Broadway star and fashion icon who doesn’t care about anything around him. But on a cold winter night, he stumbles upon a man who makes him realize his perfect life isn’t so perfect, after all. Klaine!AU.
9. Someone Like You:  Kurt and Blaine keep up their very own version of “When Harry Met Sally” for years, a friendship fraught with sexual tension and longing, until the agendas of Adele (yes, THE Adele), a bored NY socialite and a super-sweet hetero couple bring our boys together. The only problem is… they’re both in committed relationships.
10. More Than A Heavy Rain: Post-college life isn’t the dream Kurt and Blaine had imagined it would be. Life isn’t working out the way that they planned it, and when everything gets too tough, Blaine walks out, leaving Kurt to pick up the pieces. Two years later, Kurt has moved on and created something of a life for himself back in Lima. But a reunion of the former New Directions brings Blaine back into Kurt’s life, and brings into question everything Kurt thought he had figured out.
11. The Bones of You: It’s been over 5 years since Kurt and Blaine broke up after Blaine’s graduation from McKinley. Blaine is working on his M.Phil (masters) in Cambridge, UK, when a well-meaning friend sends him a link to a video. And everything in his life changes.
12. Across the Ocean: Kurt and Blaine never got together and they slowly drifted apart after Kurt transferred back to WMHS. 4 years later Kurt is working at Vogue.com in New York and Blaine is studying Musical Theatre in London. They email.
13. The Luckiest: Blaine broke Kurt’s heart 3 months before high school graduation. Now, four years later, their group of friends reunites at a lake house to marry off two of their own. With luck, Kurt and Blaine will also be able to finally mend something that’s stayed broken for far too long.
14. Angel In A Red Vest: A case of two men, two lives, and two stories and how combining them can change everything. Yeah, it’s a basic love story with a firefighter!Blaine twist…and maybe a little more.
15. These Broken Wings: When Kurt becomes a widower at the age of 29, he and his son return to Lima to try to pick up the pieces. Perhaps the one person who can save him is someone that he had forgotten was there all along. Future!fic, eventual Klaine
16. Everyday: A few days after their 2nd wedding anniversary, Kurt is in an accident and falls into a coma. Blaine struggles with the decision to let him go, and the night before they’re set to pull the plug, Kurt wakes up.  One problem: He thinks it’s 2008 and that he is 14 years old. No New Directions, no Finn and Carole, and no Blaine.  Blaine helps Kurt try to remember his old life while they consider starting a new one.
17. Is it Weird? : Blaine sends his Topics in Contemporary Music mid-term essay to the wrong e-mail address, writing an extra m where it was supposed to read Humel. Kurt, spending a semester abroad in Paris, is having a challenging night of essay writing and procrastination, and goes a little bit beyond letting Blaine know he got the wrong person, sparking what will soon be described as a “weird pen-palish thing we got going on” that takes them both by surprise and leaves them hopeful and giddy.
18. Carry Me Home (Tonight): As disagreements continue to rage in the Anderson household, Blaine is forced to spend his evenings behind a bar to pay his way through OSU. It’s not an ideal solution, but the money is good and he manages well enough. That may very well change, however, when the interested gaze of Kurt Hummel, self-proclaimed resident bad-boy, lands on him. And it seems that Kurt doesn’t have the word ‘no’ in his vocabulary.
19. Life Less Ordinary: Blaine’s life is privileged, fantastic, and entirely routine until he changes things up and tries out a new coffee shop, where one struggling NYADA student named Kurt Hummel happens to work.
20. Right Where I Belong: Kurt and Rachel finally arrive to New York, where not everything is as easy or amazing as they’d imagined, especially their next door neighbor, a shy and mysterious boy named Blaine Anderson.
21. (not) the one for me There were a few things Blaine Anderson was looking forward to about the college experience. Falling in love with his new best friend’s boyfriend was definitely not one of them. Bi!Kurt
22. Stay Perfect: Blaine is an English major, afraid to actually talk to Kurt - because he’s way too perfect to be single, anyways. Encouraged by Wes and David, he starts putting notes into Kurt’s mailbox - handwritten copies of Shakespearean sonnets and other love poems, signed only with the initials B.A. Kurt starts writing notes back to his almost anonymous admirer, unaware that B.A. and the really cute but probably straight guy in his World History class that he stares at all of the time and follows to the library on occasion… are the same person.
23. Just Say Yes: Blaine Anderson’s parents have just cut him off upon learning that he’s gay. His entire future is gone just like that - until he finds out about a trust fund from his deceased grandmother. There’s just one catch - in order inherit the money, he has to get married. Good thing Kurt Hummel is in desperate need of some cash.
24. Higher Education Graduate student Kurt Hummel is teaching his first-ever college class. Undergraduate Blaine Anderson just needs a few more credits to graduate.
25. The Bro Code (And Blaine Anderson’s Guide To Breaking It): So there’s a bro code. It’s relayed to him a few weeks after he joins his fraternity. The rules seem easy and he’s not too worried. Blaine Anderson is a rule follower. But then suddenly, there’s this guy.
26. Long Overdue: Ever since Blaine met Santana Lopez during their freshman year, she’s been determined to make his sex life outrageous. There’s just one problem: she’s completely obliviously to who his perfect guy is. At least until now.  librarian!Blaine, badboy!Kurt.
27. Walk the Line : AU where Blaine, who is 4 years older than Kurt and fresh out of college, comes to teach at McKinley. When Schue gets fired, Kurt asks Blaine to coach New Directions, but things get complicated when they discover their mutual attraction.
28. Consonance and Dissonance : AU in which Blaine is four years older than Kurt and therefore they never meet at Dalton. Kurt ends up at OSU instead of in NYC, where Blaine is a grad-student-turned-professor, and also the object of Kurt’s crushing his sophomore and junior years.
29. Lovesong: A hate crime leaves Blaine damaged and Kurt refuses to let it bring them down. (A story told in moments of time throughout Blaine’s recovery).
31. Lessons in Being a Man: Kurt is a beloved music teacher and, along with partner Dave Karofsky, proud father to 6-year-old Ellie. Blaine, his best friend, is a young Chicago lawyer who unwillingly becomes the leader of a statewide gay rights movement. When Kurt and Ellie’s home life turns violent as a result of Dave’s alcoholism, Blaine opens up his home to them. Brief Kurtofsky, Klaine later. Future fic.
Note: I was also hesitant to read this fic when I saw that DK was in it, but a few people kept telling to read it and when I did, I LOVED it. Give it a shot!
32. Off Limits: For once in Blaine Anderson’s life he was pretty happy with how his life was going. He had an epic college experience with his best friend Jamie. But one PHD rejection letter later & Jamie was moving and Blaine was staying. To top everything off Jamie asked Blaine to look after his little brother Kurt who was starting his freshman year of college. And Blaine Anderson was screwed.
33. Where There’s Smoke: Fireman AU, set 7 years after graduation. Kurt is Kurt, except that he never met Blaine Anderson. Blaine grew up in Brooklyn with his mother and firefighter father. Rachel and Kurt have graduated NYADA, Kurt gained a Masters from Tisch, and now they’re in their first post-college apartment together ready to tackle their dreams. Unfortunately, Rachel never learned how to properly cook and almost sets their new house on fire. Enter Dreamy McFirepants.
34. Little Bit of Feel Good: Kurt is not an animal person. Blaine is a vet. They dislike each other. Or do they.
35. Crema: Kurt’s just landed a job at Vogue as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant. One of his tasks is to bring her coffee in the morning. Enter Blaine, the barista. This is the story of how they change each other’s lives.
36. Daddies Dearest: Futurefic!Klaine, Daddies!Klaine Kurt and Blaine are settling into the rhythm of their lives in New York. Both are students at NYADA, both work part-time, and both are still young and happy with the knowledge that they have a lot of time left together. However, an unexpected call upsets the balance of their life and forces them to grow up a lot faster than they planned. Canon to S4
37. Make Me Over: Kurt’s gone through a bad breakup and rushes to the nearest salon to get a new haircut, Blaine the hairdresser helps him and they get talking, ending up with Blaine asking him out
38. The Five Stages of Getting Over Kurt Hummel: One night during the spring of their freshman year of college, Kurt breaks up with Blaine over Skype…
39. maybe Monday, maybe not: All Blaine wants is to find a nice, reasonably attractive, twentysomething gay guy who will laugh at most of his jokes and hold his hand sometimes and not make fun of his sweater vests. Is that really so much to ask?
40. If I Knew you were Coming I’d Have Baked a Cake: Kurt is the personal assistant to Cooper Anderson. Every morning he visits a bakery owned by Blaine, who he doesn’t know is Cooper’s bother, to get breakfast and coffee for his boss. Blaine has a crush on Kurt, but has no idea he works for Cooper.
41. Promise me, we’ll be alright: Kurt and Blaine were together for 3 years. They moved together to New York but then, they broke up. 7 years later Blaine remembers Kurt, remembers how perfect they were. But he forgot why they broke up or how they even lost contact. Until Kurt comes back to New York and not alone.
42. Wedding Day Blues: AU Klaine Blaine meets hairstylist!Kurt when he has his hair styled for his wedding day but what will happen if the wedding doesn’t happen?
43. Go Your Own Way: Kurt Hummel just wants to get through his Junior Year at McKinley in one piece. But when the new guy from Dalton Academy Reform School for Boys takes an alarming interest in him, he’s certain he’s going to be in for a wild ride. Badboy!Blaine, Klaine, AU
44. All You Needed Was Me: Kurt attends the all men’s college Dalton Academy in New York. He meets Blaine who happens to be a first class jerk. But when Blaine decides Kurt should be his, will Kurt be able to resist him? Kurt has a secret and when Blaine finds out, the jerk in him leaves and the protector emerges. A/U Please read the triggers list on the first chapter.
45. Sparks Might Fly: When single father Kurt Hummel needs to find a nanny for his baby girl, he puts an advert out and meets Blaine Anderson, a young man who needs a job and is amazing with Kurt’s daughter. Kurt hires him and, could it be? nanny!Blaine
46. A Moment Of Serendipity: A brief glimpse at a party, and Blaine Anderson can’t get a pair of blue eyes off his mind.
47. One Moment: Kurt and his daughter Hayley are back in Lima after Kurt packed up their things and left New York for a better life. Blaine is back in Lima after just one moment ended his life that he had with his fiance. Two lost people are trying to find their way back in this world, but will their pasts stop them from doing just that?
48. Friday June 10th 2011: Set nearly eight years after a messy break up, Kurt and Blaine meet again unexpectedly, thousands of miles from Ohio and thousands of miles from the people they used to be. But what really happened at the Dalton end of year party to pull them apart?
49. Second Chances: After a heart-breaking decision, Kurt and his daughter, Tabitha, move back to Lima Ohio to live with his parents. Kurt keeps focus on a future for his daughter, even if that means working in the garage with his father again. But plans change when he meets a friend of Burt’s (and hot bad boy) Blaine Anderson. Badboy!Blaine and Daddy!Kurt. Rated M for future chapters.
50. A Blinding Burn: Kurt is 22, almost done with college, and is working for Marc Jacobs. He’s been single for a year and Rachel is tired of him focusing on just work and school, while not having any fun. Blaine is 22, a firefighter, and works all the time to not think about his past relationship that went horribly sour. Sebastian is worried that he’s never going to meet anyone and will bury himself in his work for the rest of his life. Together Sebastian and Rachel execute a plan to set Kurt and Blaine up on a blind date… With each other.
51. A Stranger Heart: Living on the streets of New York isn’t easy for anyone, but for Blaine, it’s all he has, and all he thinks he deserves. Until Kurt comes into his life and sees passed the tattered gloves and worn guitar, and offers him something that Blaine’s never had: a chance.
52. Ride: Blaine is pretty popular in his city of Long Beach, CA. Summer is here and he’s ready to spend it with friends- BMX bike riding in the skate park and surfing when the waves are perfect. Flirting with girls is a definite. But when a new kid from Ohio shows up, Blaine finds himself wanting to share all these things with him, too. But Kurt’s just his friend, right?
53. Italian Boy: Every Saturday morning Kurt takes the bus to Little Italy. During the ride he keeps seeing the same cute boy who reads Italian books, and decides to learn the language, you know, just because it might turn out useful in the end.
54. I Know Not Why: Blaine loses his sight at the age of seven and his world changes drastically. He meets a young boy that sings like an angel and it sparks something within him. Years later, fate brings the boys back together and Blaine’s world is changed once again.
55. I Should Tell You: Kurt always talked about his bucket list, constantly pulling out his iPhone and mentioning random items on his list. There were hundreds of things he wanted to do before he died, even though he knew some of them would be out of reach for him. Blaine, however, just had one item on his list: To fall in love. That was all he wanted out of life. One mind-blowing, heart-clenching, epic romance. And that summer, that’s exactly what he’d gotten.
56. Syrup and Honey: AU!Klaine. Kurt Hummel is 25 years old when he finds himself being the owner of the bakery he had been dreaming about his whole life, just in time to sweeten up Blaine Anderson’s days.
57. In My Place: Blaine has always been shy and introverted, so after his father dies, he looks for comfort in his childhood dream - owning a book store. But then Kurt Hummel walks into his life, turning his dream into a complicated affair. Klaine AU.
58. Love is the End: After the unthinkable happens on his wedding day, Kurt Hummel has to learn how to navigate life after heartbreak. But he is not alone – his best friend, Blaine Anderson, is there to take him on a journey back to happiness and love.
59. Loving Arms: Desperate times call for desperate measures. When Blaine’s heart gets broken again just before he was supposed to introduce his boyfriend to his entire family, he is too humiliated to show up alone at the Andersons’ doorstep. Cue Kurt Hummel, a beautiful prostitute with nothing left to lose and a farce that will change their lives.
60. Sideways: Blaine is the most popular kid at school, he’s also a bully. Kurt is the new kid and the victim of the football team, but bullying somebody doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t end up liking them, even if you try your best not to.
