Checking In

Hey lovelies! I hope everybody is doing okay. I'm here and still alive but once again my computer is being the asshole it always is. I had been doing good with it and posting some good scenes but then it would get to the point that even in an empty sim file, my computer would sound like it was getting ready to take off which is so frustrating for being a "gaming" computer.

Turns out...I don't have enough ram in it. 8 gb to be precise. So the plan is to get some more. At least 16 total. But I won't be able to until around August and that's tentative since I had gotten word that I will not be getting financial aid this year. I dropped out last semester for health reasons and was unaware this would happen. So hopefully the appeal I put in will go through and I will be able to get it back.

So for now, I'm lurking and thinking about possibly posting photos I already have saved for Intoxication and other sims stories. I hope you all are going to have a great summer.

Andre glances over at me. His gaze is intense, making me look down.

Andre: You sure about that? Don't you want to evolve yourself, Sae? See what you can really do?

Sae: I... I dunno.

The truth was, I did. The Nirvana was great but I also wanted to see what else my life had in store for me. I guess if that meant becoming a celebrity then maybe that was the path I needed to take.

Seeing my trepidation, Andre pulled me into his lap. I grabbed on to his head gently and our eyes met.

Andre: Believe in yourself, Sae. Just like I do.

It's dark and I still really don't understand why Andre thinks I'm the one to help him bring his dream to fuitition.

I put a hand on his shoulder to get to the bottom of this before I decide to make a decision.

Sae: Why me though? There are many more experienced singers around. Don't you think that would be better.

Andre: No. I really want you as my singer. Their voice isn't your voice, babe.

I smile a little at the term of endearment and listens as this handsome man in front of me continues talking,

Andre: I really think you got something in you and together we can make something amazing.

Sae: Thank you for believing in me. But this is more your dream than mine for sure.

After listening to his music, Andre and Sae sit and conversate about everything and nothing. Sae can feel a bond growing with this man she met at the gym. The opportunity to learn more about him grows with each minute.

The minutes turn into hours and they still talk even as the sun goes down.

Andre takes me back to a room where there looks to be a desk and laptop as well as what looks like a machine for mixing music.

Sae: Wait...are you..?

Andre: I'm a music producer. I'm not huge yet but I got a few songs out there. Want to hear what I got so far?

Sae: Yeah! Lay it on me.

Andre pushes a few buttons on his mixmaster and immediately a song with sultry guitar tones and an fast paced beat comes out and into my ears.

It was great and after Andre shares a few more songs, we start relaxing and moving to them, united by the love of music.

Sae: These are pretty amazing, Andre. You've got quite a gift.

Andre: Thank you, Sae. I'm hoping to be one of the most famous producers there are. That's my dream, sweetheart. One that I'm hoping you can help come true.

Sae: I understand and appreciate the apology. But I'm here now and ready to see that you told me about. This is your chance to win me over.

Andre's grin widened and I knew that I had made his day.

Andre: Say less, babe. Here, let me show you what I'm working on.

[bitzsims]

Andre is ecstatic to see me at his front door and I gasp as he pulls me into a hug from the get go.

Andre: Sae! Come on in. It's good to see you, beautiful.

Sae: Likewise. I hope I didn't keep you waiting or anything.

Andre: Not at all. Here, while getting some food I got this for you too.

Sae: Aww...well, aren't you a sweetheart? Thank you.

Andre: You're welcome. I want to apologize too for being too forward earlier when it came to wanting to be your manager.

I guess...I was just really excited about the idea.

Getting to Andre's takes me past my old neighborhood. Fond memories rush into me and I smile a bit wondering what Marcus is up to.

I really hope he's happy and successful.

I make my way into Andre's apartment building, all too happy that his house is on the first floor. After all that jogging, going up stairs isn't what I want to do at all.

1. What is their favourite food? Crab. More so a crab boil. She loves seafood in general.

4. Do they believe in “love at first sight”? When she first saw a movie poster with Donato Ares in it, it certainly felt like love at first sight. She had no way of knowing that he would be a part of her life down the road though. So maybe a bit?

5. What is their sexuality? Heterosexual

It's about 2 pm when Juana walks by on the way to get some ice cream for her family.

Now this is the way to pass time. With conversation and laughter with one of your good friends.

Before she knows it, it's time for Sae to head out to Andre's.

I could feel his whole body trying to claim me, want me, own me in lust, and it made me feel so valuable and wanted.

6. Are they a cat or dog person? (or both?) She's both but she leans more towards cats. She has never had a pet of her own since her mother isn't a fan of having animals in the house.

7. If they were to have a cat and/or dog, what kind/breed(s) would it be? She would have a black cat and probably a rottweiler or a pit bull for a dog.

8. Do they have a best friend? Yes. Her best friend is Misty, one of the first people she met in Moncate when she moved there. They both pretty much have the same thought processes and so they work well as friends.

9. Do they have a favourite life stage? Adulthood for sure. While being a kid and a teenager was fun, she didn't have the independence she really wanted.

10. What is their ethnicity? African American

Andre: I really don't want to accept your no, Sae.

Look, why don't you come over for dinner and I can show you what I do for a living. See if we can come to a solution and if it doesn't work out at least we got dinner and companionship in the deal.

I wasn't too sure at that moment what I wanted to do but I did know that I liked spending time with Andre so far. Why not see what was going on?

Sae: All right. I'll give you a chance to wow me.

Andre: Ay...that's a good girl. I knew I'd win you over somehow. I appreciate you calling me back for real.

Sae: I appreciate you using emojis. That's what made me call you back, for serious.

Andre: Emojis?

He was silent before he started laughing.

Andre: You mean that one smiley face?! Girl, you're a trip! All right, I'll see you later on today then? Let's say 3 pm?

Sae: Text me your address and I'll see you then.

Andre: Will do, sweetheart. See you later.

My head was in a whirlwind after that phone call.

I knew I was good at singing but it felt like Andre wanted me to evolve to celebrity status and while that was a thrill to think about...reality was always different.

Maybe a shower and some food would make sense of things.

My jaw dropped and I put a hand to my heart in surprise. This was not the question I expected to hear nor the conversation I was expecting to be in.

Sae: My manager? That's quite a request for us only knowing each other for so little a time, Andre. Besides, the owner of the Nirvana is my current manager.

Andre: (mumbling) Doesn't seem like he's a good manager if he's not making you money.

Sae: I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you just now.

Andre: It was nothing. While I can appreciate somebody trying to help you out, let me help you further.

Sae: Andre...I don't know about this. I'm pretty happy where I am right now.
