Hi I'm back (again) with another question, hope I'm not annoying or anything.

Do you think the relationship between Al and Finney will be addressed in the second movie? Or at least maybe Finney works through what happened while Al (ghosts around his Finney)

I hope their relationship is gonna get at least some sort of mention in the second movie. Like in the trailer, Al even says "Did you really think our story was over?" so in my mind, I'd assume that means they're going to have like a weird trauma bonding situation going on (or so I hope). Even with it appearing as though Gwen will likely be the main kid Al goes after physically, it seems Finney is some sort of unwilling bystander through the phone somehow?? Unsure about all of that, but I really hope the contents of the first movie/how Finney has been coping with it is brought up at some point.

I need to see some sort of aftermath!! Has Finney seen/heard ghosts since the basement? How many years does the sequel take place after the first movie? Did he tell Gwen all that happened while he was kidnapped? I just want answers, man lmaoo 😭

Hello! Okay, so what personally got me into Blakeshaw was a mix of different tropes that I loved all getting thrown together into a horror movie lmao-- (I'm a sucker for a good horror flick.) Before I dove headfirst into the Alfinn trenches™, I was already an avid enthusiast of the kidnapping trope. Stockholm syndrome is my bread and butter, and these two silly little guys made it way too easy for me to include it in their dynamic. On top of that, anyone who knows me knows I'll do anything for a good shota and/or large age-gap relationship. I'll eat that shit up like candy fr!! It was a match made in heaven hell 🚀🎩✨

As for the ship name "Magicspace", I actually first saw it being used for the boys here on tumblr! One of the only other active Blakeshaw ship blogs at the time used it a lot in their tags and I just jumped on the bandwagon 😌 The reason for the ship name itself is just that it's a cute little compound of two defining traits of Al (magic) and Finney (space). I just think it's cute as hell to call them it, honestly!

Hey guys if I said fuck it and posted my monster under the bed Al au fic that I wrote in like 2023 would anyone care?? Like it's not finished or anything -- I put it down in the middle of writing it and never picked it back up. Maybe? If I just skimmed it and touched up some of the mistakes and threw it on my ao3, could that be a thing?

I had exactly one (1) friend of mine from the alfinn den fiending for it when I was first writing it, so I hope it's good enough to post LMAO--

I might just do it anyway 🤷 maybe it will incentivize me into finishing it before the sequel drops.

To be 100% honest, I literally just saw the little teasers they released for the second movie this morning 💀 -- I wasn't very interested in the sequel when I first heard the general premise but now, I'm intrigued. I like that it seems to be leaning harder into the horror aspect of the story tbh. And like I can't not see it when it comes out; that's a given.

I'm lowkey excited to see how many new shippers it's gonna bring into the fandom too 👀 A revival is just what we need! It might even just bring my hyperfixation out of retirement lmao

The Alfinn Den server DOES NOT have any form of social media presence. It's only on Discord and if anyone online is claiming to represent the server, it's a lie! The mod team consists solely of myself and 4 other people. Some of us have posted on our own personal accounts about the server in the past, but not any time recently!!

There is a single email associated with the Den that we use solely to receive and reply to membership applications.

Saw this on Twitter so I’m bringing it to you: What if Al learns about the kids that bullied/bully Finney and as a romantic gesture he kills them ‘for’ Finney.

Al: I love you so much I *killed* for you ❤️

Finney: wow this sucks. I like hate this

So I know this ask is old old but I think I know where you originally saw that tweet and I'm so sad I can't find it anymore 🥲 —

Okay, so in this I'm going to assume it's like an alternate timeline situation where Finney's still kidnapped as normal, but Al's been watching him from the jump and knows everything about him by this point. Since the first day, Al's been trying to convince Finney that life here (with Al) is what's best for him. Just saying anything and everything trying to convince the kid.

From the abusive father, to the dead mother, to having practically no friends, and finally to all the bullying.

"I'll keep you safe, Finney. No one can hurt you anymore — Those naughty boys won't lay a finger on you ever again. Not while you're here, with me."

Finney, of course, doesn't buy it for a second. He tells Al as much; he just wants to leave now please.

"Fine. I'll just have to show you how serious I am then. About them. About you, Finney." His words scare the boy, but Finney can do nothing but worry about what they could mean.

It's only a few days before he finds out just how serious Albert was. When the man practically skips down the stairs one night, red envelope in hand. He gives it to Finney happily, eyes never leaving the boy's face.

"I hope you like my little present, Finney~" He sing-songs.

When Finney reluctantly opens it and reveals the contents, he almost pukes. The envelope is full of photographs of... Matt, Buzz, and Matty laying in — oh god, are those graves?? Bloody and bruised. Dead.

He can't move, can't speak, can't breathe. Then,

"What do you think, kiddo? I did it for you, Finney. Because I love you — and those fuckers were always in the way of your happiness. But they're gone now! Isn't that great?"

Unable to think, unable to process anything, Finney just begins to silently cry.

Assuming they're tears of gratitude, Al immediately swoops the boy up in a too-tight hug. Kisses his soft curls, soothingly rubs his back.

"I'm so glad you like it, baby."

Finney just stares off into space.

It feels like it's been forever since I've been active anywhere online!

As for writing like a Blakeshaw vampire au, I haven't really given it much thought before! Vamps have just never really been my thing, but I can definitely see the vision 🩸✨

Slight TW on this one, besties: Finney's turned against his will & there's mentions of self-harm when Al's turning him

So keeping somewhat on track with the movie's canon plot (if I don't make any sense here, pls ignore it — it's been a hot second since I've watched the source material), I'd imagine Al to have been kidnapping and killing the ghost boys to keep them as convenient bloodbags, in a sense. Think of the 'naughty boy' game as just Al's fucked up way of playing with his food (it keeps him entertained and he needs them scared). Because that's all it is. All it ever is. Until... Finney.

Al doesn't understand why or how at first, but Finney's different. Special — so unlike the others before him. He's perfect and Al's.. lonely. Sure, he has Max, but Max doesn't count. He's mortal and at this point, still doesn't even know what Al is. Albert never saw the point in telling him. He loves his brother, but Max would never understand. And Al's tired of bearing this burden alone. He needs something. Someone?

He doesn't know why he does it. What comes over him. He bites Finney the night of his first proper escape attempt. Instead of simply leaving after getting him back in the basement, Al holds Finney down and sinks his fangs into the boy's neck. Not wasting a second, he hurriedly pulls out a pocketknife and slices his own wrist — forcing a now barely-conscious Finney to drink his blood in turn.

Later, Al realizes it was because he was terrified of the idea that Finney could actually leave him. He didn't want that. The original plan to torture and kill the boy was long off the table. At least now, Finney would be his. Forever.

He doesn't regret it for a second, even as Finney writhes and cries in agony on the dingy bed bolted to the floor long afterwards, the transformation staying its course. Even knowing that he'd have to train and correct the boy's behavior with a harsher hand from now on.

It doesn't matter to Albert. Finney will learn to love him.

He has no choice.

Albert, trying to hold back a laugh: ... Finney, putting on a 'tough' voice: And I'm like "The last person that fucked with us." And that's just feeling like a really powerful image to me. Albert: Just... seems like they'd recognize my face. Robin, seriously: Maybe if you wore it inside out?
