Okay okay okay.

So I know Clarke not being able to shoot Bellamy had something to do with the feelings she (imo) hasn’t realized the depth of quite yet, but I do believe she was so emotional not only because she knew she couldn’t kill Bellamy, but because she knew that he was right and she was, ultimately, wrong. I think it’s entirely possible Clarke would have shot Bellamy non lethally if she truly believed Jaha and her’s plan was the right one. This is still the person willing to kill Finn, someone she loved, because it was the right decision to her. I truly think her realization in that moment at how wrong she was in the face of Bellamy’s unshakeable rightness, is what caused her to lower her gun.

Am I the only one who feels like the AMC iwtv is basically just a fanfic?

It's really cool and I loved watching the series but I couldn't help but think about how this all feels like someone's headcannons for the Fandom.

For example:

Claudia's age

What business louis ran

Louis family dynamics

them making up Claudia's backstory

Lestat... like, why did they make him so much of a typical evil man in this story? They didn't need to make him an abuser. I know he's a bad guy, but like this whole series seemed so out of character for him.

Though I did enjoy:

Finally making it gay

Costuming

What really bothered me was the fact it was set like Louis lived in the early 1900s when he really lived in the late 1700s.

Im not saying i didn't like the AMC series take on the book but i feel like they shouldn't change so much.

I did love watching it and am excited to watch the new season when it comes out.

It’s so funny to me people misinterpreting Armand saying “BUT SHE DIDN’T LOVE YOU” as like Claudia didn’t love Louis.

No, he means CLAUDIA’S LOVE was NEVER ENOUGH for Louis. She didn’t love Louis ENOUGH in Louis’ eyes: “Not like he (Lestat) did. Not like I have (tried to)”

He’s calling Louis out on Louis throwing people (mainly Claudia and himself (Armand)) under the bus (which is kinda ironic, there Armand considering) because NO ONE is equal to Lestat to Louis.

I mean, Armand was right - he was being rudely honest about it (he was just matching Louis’ energy in that moment tbh - not saying the other stuff he did was right, cause it wasn’t), but he was right in that moment in what he was saying.

Louis for the whole of his vampiric life has been trying to deny the face that he chooses Lestat over EVERY SINGLE PERSON. Including his own DAUGHTER.

Like wow, when the dude who had a hand in KILLING YOUR DAUGHTER can even see it? And calls you out? Even Louis acknowledges it after Armand says it.
