Haruaki’s intelligence

I love that despite how severely pathetic and cowardly (affectionate) Haruaki is, he is by no means stupid or an idiot. On the contrary, he’s really fricking intelligent. However, what’s the use of smarts when a good number of the times you are too wimpy to even think coherently.

But, once you take away that cowardice and emotionality factor of his, you realise how in canon scarily intelligent he is. And also very cunning.

[I say intelligent to point of scary because back when his souls separated into multiple parts, the soul that represented his intelligence quite literally planned on essentially killing/destroying the other parts of his soul and taking total control of the body. Because with those other parts he recognized he became weird and irrational]

This is one of the things that makes me SO interested about Haruaki’s previous life as Abe-no-Seimei. Because Seimei did not have that cowardice or those ‘irrational desires’ that Haruaki does in his current life. So given the way we know how deviously cunning Haruaki’s is capable of being (+ what we have already seen of Seimei’s smarts), and just in general how very shady Seimei is portrayed to be, I am quite curious as to what type of person he actually was

Anyways, Haruaki is my bbg and no part of him ever does any wrong (even the shenanigans his intelligence was up to during the trip to Kyoto) 🫶

happy new year 2025

thanks god i'm still alive. i didn't expect i can be strong day by day and i'm proud of myself so much. even though i'm still struggling with my life, i can survive until now. i should celebrate myself on day 1 of 365!

hey it's been 7 months i'm still loving that purple entity (read: rui kamishiro), hahaha. i also should thank to colorful palette that had made an unique character such as rui. i love him so much that i could die without him (what?).

i wanna say thanks to my family, friends, and my beloved cat who make me feel like i exist in this world. i can't express my feelings properly but i can admit it that i love them all.

i wanna write my little resolutions for 2025:

i wanna collect some information and knowledges for my future novel

i wanna draw my oshi and otp more

i need to find a job for the sake of monetary hahaha

i wanna learn semiotics more (the last i did is when i was in college)

i wanna make short doujin hahaha

i hope i can survive more this year.

He remembered well how Tsukasa gave him the pair of yellow and purple spoons and forks. He couldn't possibly forget a word his friend said. In fact, just remembering that, he wanted to drown her beautiful face; hoping no one could catch him in his disheveled state.

Tsukasa was really a very good person, for him.

“Rui,” he remembered very well when Tsukasa called his name loudly.

“What is that, Tsukasa-kun?”

“For you.”

“For me?”

Of course, he couldn't forget how stunned he was when he saw Tsukasa give him a box containing a set of cutlery.

“I don't want you to skip your lunch without bringing a lunch box. I hope that once you have this, you'll change your mind about bringing it to school.”

Not only that. He also remembered how excited that “star” creature was to show off the cutlery set in the same color as the one he gave to Rui.

“You see, Rui? We have the same color of our cutlery now! As a sign of our friendship, let's consider that the yellow one is me, and the purple one is you. I want us to have lunch together with these cutlery!”

Ah, he couldn't.

Rui couldn't feel like this.

He felt like he wanted to roar as loud as he could. Not wailing out of sadness, but….

… he had already melted. Only with a package of that “star” creature's kindness.

my reasons why i love rui

hello!

before that, i would like to say that rui is the most unique characters in project sekai in terms of his design and lore.

look at his passionate in robots. so cute and sweet.

okay, first of all, i wanna say that his hair designs is something pretty. the combination of purple and cyan in his hair depicts diversity, as if clpl describes rui as a character who accepts diversity no matter what. if we can take this with semiotics, purple means wisdom, and cyan means calm. it means rui sees the diversity by wisdom and peaceful.

you know, i also love to spell his name. since rui's name in kanji means "variety" and his hair colors mean "diversity" if i say this with semiotics study, i think there is an implied relationship between the meaning of his hair colors and his name in kanji.

remember about his bloomfes story? i can say his character development is something realistic. we can see his 5 stages of grief there. i remember when elementary school rui was in denial-anger situation because of his loneliness and slowly in middle school (also high school) he began to accept his situation, while going through bargaining and depression.

here is the denial side of elementary school rui. (translate from japanese: "in other words, i wanna deny the lonely me-")

and here is the way rui accepted his situation and being patient. (translate from japanese: "because we know pain, we can be kind to others, and because we know sadness, we understand the importance of smiling.")

he is the gentle person and has a sincere heart. the way he treats his friends is very appreciated. he also really treasures every moment with his friends, especially to tsukasa, his positive influence. he knows how to empathize and return the favor to someone. even though he was considered as a weird, crazy, freak, or something out of the box, he is a genius and has 1001 ways to explore something interesting in his own way!

bonus: rui has a history being tsundere when he was in elementary school and it makes me adore him so much, hahaha.

don't forget that the way he speaks english fluently was something sexy, i admit it. you should know his sexy aura increased by 12000% during he speaks english!

i also love the way he bonds his good relationship with his mom. remember about his "revival my dream" event? he trusted his mom when she said that it's okay to be a weird and indirectly said "just be yourself". his mom understood his feelings, and rui did too. he is such a kind boy, isn't he?

okay, that's all about kamishiro rui in my opinion! here is my favorite costume from his card "tasogare no kagayaki" (yeah, i love tactician rui so much i could die without him).
