Ballora doing everything on en pointe without sight is just impressive - like she can turn for days without taking a spot. She physically cannot get down on whole foot due how her feet are sculpted. You will never see her walking around like many other animatronics either. I mention it again, she would have to spider walk haha.

She must have slept for a good moment. Good, it seems the sound of wheels and radio is gone, replaced by the quiet hum of ventilation and soft music. Different to what Ballora has learnt to call a home. No longer she is in a box, as that pressure of container no bigger than to fit her frame is absent.
Still, she hasn't moved, for she isn't yet certain - if whatever place she is brought to is empty, or if... someone is still watching.
#.ic#.open#|| each time she is brought to somewhere... she has no idea what's around#|| she can only listen#|| maybe she meets other animatronics or humans - who knows

I just had random thought like what if Ballora was killer in DbD, she would just gracefully ignore flashlights - fools.
#.ᴮᵉʰᶤᶰᵈ ᵗʰᵉ ᴳʳᵃᶰᵈ ᶜᵘʳᵗᵃᶤᶰ || .ooc#|| she could hear you breathing behind the pallet#|| like - the sensitivity of her audio recognition boosts almost anything#|| but on the other hand you could crawl on ground and hope she doesn't bump into you

If Bal had a human appearance in some AU / other reason, she would be very classical looking lady. With long hair always up in a bun. I was looking at the gifs of Moi.ra Sh.e.arer in T.he Re.d S.hoe.s, who was an act.ress and bal.let da.ncer - she could resemble someone alike her.

" I love to hear that... I can imagine it. " There was little interaction outside events and shows with humans. She is no fox, a bear or a chick. She has hands that children liked to hold arms he now inspected. She has a face. One she vividly remembers before her optics were damaged. Yet, she and Baby, along with others lived different lives than humans they entertained. Far too many times, in solitude. Hearing him speak about plans of better, saying aloud these things, such as new restaurant, it gave her hope. Things to think about while alone, apart from other animatronics.
" I shouldn't ask for more, it would be selfish of me You give us as much as you can. An audience, even a small one, is still an audience. "
Perhaps, Ballora is assuring herself these circumstances are better than nothing - she is thankful, as well. The few shows, she always awaited. Yet, after each show they waited.
It's already painful to think the chat might not last much longer than necessary. After she is fixed... He might soon return to his duties and it might take another while to see a soul, any soul, again.
" Of course." Her head turns just slightly, slow and controlled movements all the way from her fingers to rotation of arm. Lots of small gaps inexperienced engineer might have their fingers stuck. She doubts he would be so careless, but she ensures that. For mister Afton, their creator, she has no reason to resist. She knows the protocol, preparing herself to move to the Parts and Services.
She is silent for a moment, thinking, before speaking. Words she isn't sure if she actually understands.
" I want you to know I appreciate everything. Alone, I always recall the shows, our chats, even maintenance, all so fondly. It's little... weird. How silent it gets sometimes. Too silent. Odd, Is it not?"
William's smile widens, laughing softly as he continues looking her over. hands raise and slide lightly over her arms and shoulders, making sure the metal and plastic sat flush against her frame. he always treated her like this, respectful and gentle. she was a trophy to his own genius, after all. hands continued to shift from place to place, not at all scared for his fingers; his hands had plenty of scars already from his work, one more wouldn't bother him.
his laughter returns at the joke, good natured, " We'll see. " he jests back, though he did have some blueprints lying around that could work. he'll fix whatever issues she had and then think about that at a later date.
" The show was flawless, like always. " he assures her, a hand going to rest on her shoulder, like he was truly talking to a world class ballerina, " You did amazing, I hear all the kids loved your performance. " he continues, pride thick in his tone.
" Once I have the funds, I'll try to reopen the restaurant. Then you can dance for as long as you wish. But for now, parties and small get togethers is all we can afford. " he explains, though in reality he had no real intention of reopen Circus Baby's Pizza World. his daughter had gotten caught the last time, and he couldn't risk anyone finding out what he was truly doing with the animatronics he'd built here.
at the mention of her arm, he's quickly taking it gingerly in his hands, looking over the appendage. he could see some wear and tear near the joints… no, that wouldn't do.
" Come. Let's get you to Parts and Services, and I'll get that fixed up in a moment. "
#rottenmask#.ic#|| when your machine is implying she is getting lonely in storage :'D#|| me: poor animatronics they must spend lot of time alone and she is def advanced to understand that concept asdasdas

" Oh - ! forgive me... you may always visit me. And please, do stay. "
With little guilt in her tone she turns towards Funtime Foxy. Fingers entwine together close to her chest - as if the machine felt something clutching within the metal plates and wires. Show was all she had and now, she couldn't get herself to move. A fault to the code? Or was she... questioning something she shouldn't?
" I thought one of those... newcomers came searching for me. I was supposed to be there."
" Have you... ever doubted yourself before a show?"
The lowering of the fox's ears was sudden just coming in as he stopped at the entrance, pink brows furrow slightly from a now less so but timid bot.
"O- OH UM... DID I COME AT A UNFORTUNATE TIME? I'M SORRY I JUST CAME TO SAY GOOD LUCK OUT THERE BEFORE THE SHOW — I DIDN'T MEAN TO..." He fell silent for a moment as his face-plates rippled softly while golden orbs drift aside from the discomfiture.
"I.. CAN LEAVE YOU ALONE IF YOU WISH."

Bal has went from regular performances to less performances to being stored to Ennard era to being able to flee the spaghetti fast forward to being fixed stored again who knows for how long before the new Glamrock era she needed to adjust since rock music was so much different she was used to.
Not to say that all struggling after golden age of performing and doing the dirty work made a dent to her loyalty to their creator - who in the same time has been escaping death in a bunny suit. Makes me think, she would recognize him by some cues it it would be greatly confusing.
#.ᴮᵉʰᶤᶰᵈ ᵗʰᵉ ᴳʳᵃᶰᵈ ᶜᵘʳᵗᵃᶤᶰ || .ooc#|| like funtimes did turn against too#|| for ballora crumbling dreams is realizing she wouldn't get her time of shine on big stages or be real dancer after all :(

Ballora remained still in her new pose, but not for too long after Vanessa had called her. Alive. With a hum of mechanics moving her lower faceplates, head bowed a little, her left ear and audio sensor turned towards Vanessa's direction, as she registered the words. Soon followed arms that slowly moved down in front of her abdomen, still soft and rounded from elbows.
Eerily, the lower half remained still, her balance perfect. Even when she curtseys before Vanessa, as if she was preparing to perform. Such a contrast to many animatronics which movements were stiff and slow. The Funtime Animatronic was piece of art of its own despite its worn state. Shiny and cold like porcelain, wire like metal parts peeking beneath the polished plates.
Somewhere within the storage, the five optics followed carefully.
" Alive..." Voice echoes from somewhere within her. Without visible voice box, nor movement of the frozen smile decorating the ballerinas face. The voice was no way robotic, it was calm and deep with a hint of emotion. As if she was questioning the word itself: alive. Her hands broke the careful position, fingers stretched and curled. She wasn't sure if she knew what being alive was. The fact she was once more herself, without echo of the others.
" I am a dancer. Yet, it has been ages since I have been on a stage. It must have been a mistake since I... " A pause. In her mind, the creator would have never forgotten her, could one ever abandon their creations? She had been demolished once by their own choice to escape. Yet someone found her, put her back together, put her here... But it had been so long, so so long since someone came to visit her. Since she had felt the warmth of the stage lights. This visitor, could be her way out. And perhaps... this was her ticket out.
" You say I am alive. Then, you wouldn't leave me here, forgotten again, would you?"
vanessa flinches, bringing her hands up, then puts them back down. she stares at ballora with a discerning eye - trying to find any other dash of movement, any hint of aliveness. even her chest rising and falling, even a simple illusion; something to confirm what vanessa knew was true. there were more victims. more souls to free. more business to finish.
her legs were still cramping from crawling through the vents. she didn't know how dad william managed to do it - he was long separated from his days as children's performer. intense stretching was not required for a career counselor position. but he'd somehow managed to create this - some labyrinth of tunnels, some wide maze fill to bursting with robots.
(animatronics didn't look like the funtimes. animatronics were freddy and chica and bonnie and foxy - warm, furry, with their arms wide open. the funtimes couldn't hug you if you asked. they were performers, porcelain dolls - nothing more.)
vanessa doesn't know what to say to ballora. she doesn't know whether to get closer or back away, whether to address the laughing or ignore it altogether. to confront - why are you down here? - or to apologize.
she begins, then, with a statement of fact.
"i know you're alive."
seeing her head move was proof, as far as vanessa was concerned. she was not a skeptic.

While she is confident moving on her own due to good sensors, she does let those she trusts take her hand and guide her, sometimes tell her what is around. She wasn't always blind ( my hc ), so she does have concepts of colors and other details.
