Blanket Permission Propaganda Post

I know what you're thinking. "Oh, no. Not another insipid post about how I need to have a blanket permission to podfic statement in my AO3 profile. How did I end up with so many podficcers on my timeline??"

Well, the thing is that we keep making these posts because we get imaginary internet points for them from @voiceteam, BUT ALSO because there are so many people who don't have anything about transformative works in their profiles and we are too SHY to ask, so we keep podficcing the same amazing authors over and over again, but we want to podfic NEW amazing authors. We want to podfic YOU.

And do you want the propaganda posts to stop? Well, they won't. Until. EVERY. LAST. USER. Has posted one. So, do your part and add your permission statement to your AO3 profile today. And if you already have a statement, then go ahead and reblog this so we can get everyone on your timeline and then everyone on THEIR timelines and eventually we'll have blanket permission from the WHOLE WORLD!

And that's how I'll obtain the Hand of God.

Also, if this post convinced you to add a permission statement related to podfic to your AO3 profile, please tell me in the next 3 days because I will get EXTRA imaginary internet points for it and I will personally add a request for you to be added to the Fanwork Permission Statement (FPS) Database.

Happy Hikago Day! At the moment when I'm writing this it's just a few hours until the fics are revealed and I'm so excited! Thanks so much @daisyface for hosting this, it's already been a blast.

All this has made me so nostalgic for the old days of the fandom. The fandom is pretty quiet here on tumblr but I was still wondering if there'd be people interested in playing Let's Five... the idea is that people come up with list topics (like, "five times Shindou almost got Waya arrested") and then others come up with the response and add their own questions. Here's an example round from 2014.

Blind Go 2025 is Coming!

Blind Go, the fanwork event for Hikaru no Go and Qi Hun, is returning!

What's changed:

-Fanworks of all types will be accepted (including fic, art, podfic, vids, etc.) -Fanworks from any adaptation of Hikaru no Go are welcome (including anime, manage, cdrama, stage show, etc.) -The event will be hosted on AO3 Collections

Works are due on May 4th, 2025 and the reveal will happen on May 5th, 2025!
