> From the age of eight until the age of seventeen, he was groomed to take over the family business. Crain’s Pub. At this point, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He quickly became a Private First Class before he was medically discharged. Brick received a Bronze Star for providing cover fire for his platoon to evacuate after his First Lieutenant was gunned down. He ended up wounded in this firefight and led to his discharge.

> At the age of twenty-one, he returned to Chicago at the behest of his father. He ends up meeting his current significant other for the first time, Vivienne Nyx. Skip forward two years and she becomes pregnant with their child: Josie Crain-Nyx. 

> Around the time that his daughter turns a year old, he finds out that his father is close to dying from liver failure. When he winds up in the hospital awaiting his death, he takes over ownership of Crain’s Pub. Shortly after, his father dies and his mother quickly follows from a heart attack.
