Light: BIDENS PROLIFIC PLANT
Bidens prefer full sun for the biggest and best blooms. Any location where you plant Bidens should receive at least six hours of direct sunlight each day. Without enough light, the plant will grow but may not produce as many flowers and will likely become leggy.
Floor: BIDENS PROLIFIC PLANT
Whether you plant Bidens in an outdoor garden or a container, ensure the soil is well-drained to avoid problems with root rot. In addition, this richly flowering plant thrives in humus-rich soil. It tolerates fluctuating soil pH levels but generally grows best in neutral to slightly acidic soil types.
WATER FOR BIDENS PROLIFIC PLANT
These plants are considered quite drought-tolerant. However, for their best appearance and longevity, they require regular water. One inch of water per week is usually sufficient; Water before wilting begins.
Temperature and humidity
This plant tolerates extreme heat and drought. Many of these plants grow in hot and humid places like Hawaii, Mexico, and Polynesia. The drought-resistant nature of this plant means it can tolerate hot, dry conditions.
However, if such a dry spell continues, it is best to water these plants regularly to offset the effects of the heat on the plant's foliage and flowers.
But if temperatures drop too much, the Bidens plants suffer. These plants are not frost tolerant and will die below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fertilizer: BIDENS PROLIFIC PLANT To flower, the profusely flowering Bidens plant requires nutrient-rich soil. How much fertilizer to use and what type usually depends on the type of Bidens plant you are growing.
It is generally recommended to supplement this plant with a general-purpose fertilizer every month or to use a slow-release fertilizer at the time of planting.
Fertilizer is especially important if you are growing Bidens in a container. They may require more nutrition than houseplants because nutrients leach out.
