Tune in... Show more solidarity... Set your diary... Set your clock... Show support... Saturday... BBC1 at 7.30pm 'Pitch Battle’ featuring A-Flame from #iCC. A young ambassador group known as A-flame was recently selected to participate in a reality TV show called ‘Pitch Battle’ for BBC1. In the show they compete with other choirs and groups from around the UK. This is an amazing achievement because the group was only formed last year.

My son and I visited Larimer Rd yesterday afternoon with donations and offered our support to the people still alive but lost following the disastrous fire of the #grenvelltower and although our actions felt liberating the emotions within us and around us was heart wrenching, but was was beautiful to see was all the people around showing support others I love. At 6.30pm my son and I attended the local church, St. Peter's on Kensington Park St. Who held a service in honour of the community and victims of this terrible disaster and it was very difficult to hold back the tears but the spirit and helfulness of the congregation allowed us all to hold, hug and release our emotions. The air surrounding us in the church and on the streets was of solidarity and #love and I pray that all of our loss of family and friends will keep as all as one nation, to continue serving and supporting each other through the good and the worse moments of #life

My testimony...because I came to you... I didn't leave Debbie until 23.20, having taken out my hair, washed and blow dried it and on leaving I felt quite embarrassed to leave all wrapped up, scarf an all, after all it was late and dark out there. I decided not to wear my boots home as I got comfortable in the house shose Debbie had borrowed me for the evening and although they matched my pink and white sock, they certainly didn't match my attire. Debbie and I laughed at my look, but we both decided what the hec, who's going to look at me (but deep in my mind I knew possibly someone would :) As I left Debbie with full blessing and a promise to call her when I get in, I calmly and with a graceful smile walked up the road and ahead of me I saw a figure walking ahead and my first thought was, please God, don't let this person come my way and eyeball my attire and if they do, please keep me brave to style this out... As the person got closer I noticed it was a man, rather tall, but of slim frame and I braced myself for the look he may give me...glup, here goes, I thought...then clearly I noticed this man reminded me of my father, my dear Father Mitch and then I noticed this man's attire...low and behold he was wearing pyjamas, gray/blue fine cotton pyjamas; oh my God I thought, how on earth could this man be dressed like that in this cold weather and as he got closer I noticed that he had tears running down his cheek but he was smiling and on passing me we eyeballed each and he appeared to be oblivious to the fact it was cold, he appeared to be shivering, but clearly he was focused and on a mission. At first I walked past this man, keeping my wits about me of course, but still concerned about my appearance but then I thought "What the hec is this man dressed like, how on earth could he be dressed like this and still have a smile" I turned to the man and asked him just that, (on impulse I haste to say, because as much as I like to talk, certainly not at this time of night and not dressed in this manner, no way!) You know what the man said to me...I was gobsmacked, he said "I'm going home" in a matter of fact tone of confidence, but charming, so I said "oh, dressed like that, aren't you cold" and he answered "No, not really"...I looked at this man, a man that resembled my dad and I asked him where does he live and he answered Albion Grove and continuing to think on the hop I asked, "Albino Rd, E8" and he said "yes"... considering we were on Neville Rd, N16 I informed him that he was heading in the wrong direction and looking cold and baffled he stood still in wonder and confusion. I managed to find out from this man, that he was heading home following a brief walk to get some air and that he lived off Albion Rd, N16. I eyeballed this man, looked him up and down and said " Come on, get in my car, I'll take you home, but you will have to direct me", this man eyeballed me back and like a child I saw gratitude in his eyes. Whilst driving for about 2 min (fast driving now, because I'm now vulnerable with a stranger, with whom I brought into my car...glup again!). The man then pointed to his road, a flipping side road and I started bricking it...and then I saw a lighted block that appeared to be a home of some kind, a residential home of some kind and as I helped this nose running, frail looking smiling man outvof my car, I asked him that whenever he fancied a brief walk, ask someone to take him and with a smile he answered "ok". On ringing the intercom to the block a female staff member, screamed "he's here, he's here" and within seconds she was at the door and so was the police, at that second, this happy and delightful man, Roy, had taken a brief walk without permission...of course, he's never had to ask permission before, he was a grown man and to him it didn't matter was he looked like... Morals, fears, uncertainty, what the hec.
