Drunk and In Love

Summary:

Your f/o gets drunk at a bar with his friends and won't shut up about you, much to the amusement of everyone involved (especially you!).

Imagine your f/o absolutely plastered at his favorite bar and raving about you to his friends (and some strangers). Upon getting a call from one of them saying that he definitely wasn't okay to drive, you went to go pick him up.

It wasn't hard to find him when you got there; his voice echoed loudly through the pub, his words slurring now and again. You sighed, walking over to the bar where he appeared to be.. crying?

Before you could ask him what was wrong, he turned to you, apparently mistaking you for one of his friends. "(Friend's Name)!" He hiccuped as he held up his phone, displaying a picture of you in your favorite outfit from you guys' first date. "L-look.. she's- she's so cute."

Your face flushed a brilliant red as his loud statement while his friends laughed in the background; none of them were *quite* as drunk as F/o was. One of them called out to you, "He's been going on about ya since he had his first one."

Your face grew even warmer. "I see," you then addressed F/o, and the fact that he was still crying. "And what seems to be the problem, uh, buddy?"

He sniffed dramatically. "She- she's just.. too perfect!"

And with that, he broke down into sobs. You couldn't help but laugh a little at his antics now that you knew there wasn't something actually wrong.

"Need one of us to help you get him to the car?" One of his friends asked, attempting to stand, but swaying on his feet and ultimately electing to remain seated.

"Uhm, no thanks, I've got him," you replied politely, thinking to yourself that there was absolutely no way any of these men could lift themselves right now, let alone help you carry f/o.

Turning back to f/o, whose tears had mostly subsided, you began, "Okay Honey- can you stand?"

However, the domestic pet name had apparently caused him to realize your identity, as he stood and abruptly wrapped you in a crushing hug, with an excited cry of "Y/N! Darling! When did you get here?"

You smiled as he leaned on you heavily. "Just a minute ago, baby. Come on; we gotta go home now, okay?"

He hummed, probably not fully understanding anything you said, but visibly ecstatic you were there.

"Okay," you said as you used the arm you had wrapped around his waist to both steer him out the door and keep him stable, "this way, love."

On the drive home, he ranted about how much he missed you and how amazing you were. Every now and again, he would still forget he was talking to you and throw in a "have you met my girlfriend? She's so great-"

When you finally got him home and tucked him into bed beside you, he whispered with starry eyes, "you're such an angel" in the most sincere little voice and you m e l t e d ajsjsksk

You giggled quietly, "why thank you. Goodnight F/o. Hopefully this will be more funny than embarrassing for you tomorrow."

He didn't seem to hear you, instead humming a off-key version of a song that had played on the radio on the way home from the bar until he fell asleep, clinging onto you like a baby koala.

You (and his friends of course) gave him hell for it in the morning, but you were certain to tell him how sweet you thought it was, and that you thought he was adorable as well.

i feel like it’s such a silly thing bc it’s all in my imagination & power anyway (i mean. that’s how self shipping works,,) but mitsuya & i are so so excited for hakkai and draken to finally get together. it’s lovely to have them both gush over each other to mitsuya and/or i in private, they’re both so sweet and in love. but, my god, if neither of them are gonna confess soon, we’ll really have to do something.

The way you perceive yourself isn't always the way your F/O perceives you, you know?

On a day where you feel like your hair falls badly, or you feel like it looks greasy or flat, your F/O takes a closer look at you, thinking to themselves what a nice color your hair is in that light. Is that a bit of a red undertone? A bit of blond? How lovely.

There is this huge pimple on your face. And your F/O grimaces a little at the sight. Surely they must be disgusted, right? No. They merely thought that it's in such an unfortunate spot. It must be so painful. Hopefully it goes away soon.

You've made a mistake. A stupid mistake that could have been avoided if you had just done this and that. You keep wrecking yourself about it. But after a few minutes, your F/O has already forgotten. They know you have no bad intentions. Everybody makes mistakes.

Where you see flaws, your F/O sees another person. A gift that keeps on giving. Someone who makes their life feel more fulfilled just by being part of it. They're happy you're here. With all your endearing flaws and imperfections.
