#tbt to hours spent running on the beach. My go-to place for relaxation, peace and freedom. . My dogs have taught me the meaning of unconditional love, and they didnt even have to try. To them its the most natural thing in the world. Yet to us, it’s the most complicated? Is that because we are so self-critical? Love freely and willingly with the person who makes you a better version of yourself and you will find true happiness. (at Cresswell Dunes-Cresswell Beach)

Wednesday Wisdom. . You can’t fully control what goes on outside of you, but you can control what goes on inside. Give yourself time to feel safe, happy and loved, even if you find yourself in an upsetting and stressful situation. (at Cresswell Dunes-Cresswell Beach)

Friday Feelings! . Have a great Friday everyone! Always good to take today to reflect on the past week. I was delighted to be asked to give an inspirational talk this week, about my trip to Liberia with @oxfamgb . I spent two weeks touring the country in January 2014, seeing first hand the issues being faced and the projects being developed by Oxfam in order to help families to have enough food to survive, with the final goal being to have enough spare food to sell at market. Humbling. Eye-opening. Distressing. Life-changing. Just a few of the ways I would describe my visit. It certainly makes you appreciate your life more. 🤗

Thursday Thoughts. . This week’s blog post looks at why we struggle to spend time on “me”. It’s important to have your own time so you can reflect and recharge. In my previous relationship I didn’t ever focus on “me”. I have now recognised that I was doing everything for everyone else so I didn’t have time to focus on me, as I had little to no self-worth. In my previous relationship I often felt lonely, even in a room full of people. I’ve learnt the difference now, and although I don’t see my partner as often as I would like, because we have a long-distant relationship, I never feel lonely. Read more via our link above 🔝🔝🔝

Monday Motivation. . Finding time for "me" means that you might have to find time where you can just be by yourself and really indulge in something you enjoy. Even if it's half an hour a day walking. What you do and how long you give yourself time to enjoy isn't really what this is about. Finding "me" time is simply making sure on a daily basis you give yourself some love and allow yourself to relax. You can't have your foot on the pedal continuously then be surprised when you start burning out. (at Cresswell Dunes-Cresswell Beach)

Friday Feelings.. . “Being alone doesn’t mean you’re lonely. You need time alone to reflect and recharge.”.. . I find the best place to do this is by going for a long walk. Actually, I have no choice as I have to walk my two dogs, but walking everyday gives me the opportunity to reflect on everything that is going on at work and at home. #tbt to relaxing in the sunshine reflecting on some of the points raise in this week’s coaching. . . Although it’s important to prioritise your business or your children, it is equally important to give some time to youself. You are a priority too, if you don’t function well, don’t expect everything around you to function. (at Micah's Tea Rooms)

Wednesday Wisdom. To many of us, standing naked in front of someone is a scary thought. Trusting someone completely means that you open your heart and soul and share all of yourself, which can be even more scary. For a lot of us, previous relationships have made trusting people again very difficult. You won’t know how much you can trust someone until you let go of your fear and learn to trust again.

Tuesday Thoughts. You can’t change the past, but so many of us just won’t let go of it and relive a moment over and over. What if? Is a question many people ask themselves. When the moment is positive and loving, then it brings us joy and happiness, but if it’s a negative memory, it brings nothing but pain, anger and bitterness. If this is you, try and let go and focus on changing your future, not your past. The future is the only thing we can change. (at Morpeth, Northumberland)

Monday Motivation. I think most of us are excellent at remembering to recharge your phone, it’s probably a daily ritual that comes naturally to you as you’ve done it so often, but our minds and bodies also need to recharge. Don’t forget to turn them off and relax, whether it’s through meditation, yoga or just having an hour off relaxing. Your phone can’t function without you, so don’t forget to recharge yourself.
