i love trying to rationalize bigB because sometimes there is an explanation, it's just the most confusing moral compass ever. "why did bigB form an allyship with the villies" well you see with the other rejects close to being eliminated, bigB felt that they were no longer a good longterm commitment and wanted another team to fall back on. gem actually offered allyship to him earlier in the season. "why did bigB just arbitrarily lie to grian then" well you see bigB only promised the rejects that he wouldn't lie to them and grian is not a reject. "but he's trying to build trust with him??" yeah i mean bigB also lies to the rejects sometimes so like. you can't trust him to not do that. that'd be silly.

This season hurts.

BigB's "I have a fear that's lingering, and it's that I'll be the last Reject left alive," or Impulse's "My teammates need lives," or Cleo's "You can't leave me alone again."

I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of it. That feeling of being green, of surviving, and still having to watch as the people you've tied yourself to keep dying. You're going to make it through the next day, but your teammate(s) might not.

And these three are the people who've offered to die if it means their teammates get kills. BigB stayed in the line of fire for Jimmy's minecart to kill Scar. Cleo placed down the ender crystal and lingered to get Ren a kill. Impulse offered to let Tango boogey kill him. None of this will be enough to save the reds. It doesn't restore lives. And yet they do it anyway, for if they're the ones to die, maybe the reds will live just a little longer.

I know it's just youtubers having fun in Minecraft, but geez. They keep saying sad things that make it feel just that much more real.

No guys you don't understand it was a joke. Pearl trusted him guys, she trusted him in LimLife, she just said that at the spur of the moment. I mean she gave her life for him, got him kills so he can survive, she saved him from the kidnapping. guys trust, she was lying. they wholeheartedly trusted eachother i swear. guys please. it's not true. guyyyyssssss.

i definitely did this when wild life started but sighhh i need more of bigb confronting all of the things in the past that he thought were long over, despite the fact that he is very much still feeling the sting of them... and i need him feeling like he can't be with anyone. that he is going to cause trouble and that there is no world where he can fully put down the persona he's built up because there might not be anything left underneat it. he's almost ok with losing himself. because sometimes it feels like he's so close to becoming something new. is it the real him? he doesn't know.

...but still, somehow, he finds a way to confide with Pearl. yes, Pearl. she's gone through similar feelings of alienation and bringing disaster everywhere. Pearl understands him, in that way. even if they are no longer neighbours and in fact, on opposing teams. he is not afraid of her. in fact, if Pearl did hurt him, he might feel it is deserved or he might even welcome it. which could mean nothing.

BigB was really the only one standing on business (as he should) against the secret society this last episode.

Telling Grian that they were not on good terms when he asked.

Approaching Etho and the others and sarcastically asking if they want to play king of the ladder.

When Etho came for improv in the pokeball he was against him joining them.

He decided to give back the friendship flower to Gem that she gave to him prior.

Like I feel like the viewers were expecting a lot of beef prior to episode 4 and BigB was really the one to bring it home.

People have been theorising, that the next session will be soulmates, and I thought I would make a (a very late)* ranking on which person I would like to see teamed with BigB, just for funsies.

Ranking of who I would like BigB to be soulmates with:

Grian

Scar

Gem

Pearl

Martyn

#1 BigB and Grian: Since ppl have been theorising this, this duo immediately popped into my head, I mean making Secret Soulmates into actual soulmates would be crazy. It would be nice if in one universe they got the soulmates that they both wanted. I also love their dynamic so would love to see more of them together. Plus would add more drama which I would looovee! (Another part of me is questioning this, cause I feel like a part of the charm of their 'Secret Soulmates' bit was that they chose to be together, but I digress.)

#2 BigB and Scar: This team up would be awesome for a whole nother reason. BigB is like terrifed of Scar's tactics (as he stated multiple times lol), so I feel like in that way this would be BigB's worst nightmare (I feel like he would definitely be on high alert the whole episode- not only around Scar but in general trying to keep himself alive as well). Also they are the gaslighting/lying/tricking duo we deserve. Perhaps they could switch the script and combine their evil powers to create chaos and frankly I would love nothing more than that.

#3 BigB and Gem: They have the most wholesome interactions honestly. I think Gem sees BigB for who he truly is and accepts it, plus she's known for trying to get the worst/most aggressive parts out of ppl/Pearl (in a good way of course :P) and so I think they would thrive together. They were a really nice duo in Real Life, and get along great, plus Gem wouldn't have to worry too much about him dying so to say (as he's not as reckless as some other players), so she wouldn't be too stressed and they could work on some traps together maybe. Honestly, I just want more of this duo really, as I love their dynamic and as they don't interact a lot :D.

#4 BigB and Pearl: Are you surprised this is here, be honest? My nosy neighbours heart would not be able to take this. Their interactions this season are not enough I neeed more. Plus it would just be so iconic for them to be soulmates as they teamed up right after Double Life where they both weren't on good terms with their soulmates. Pearl was obviously alone in DL, and BigB cheated on Ren establishing himself as a traitor over the last two seasons- in LimL they wanted to change that about themselves and they found that change in each other (how poetic is that!) They get along so well and it would just warm my heart to see them be soulmates in Past Life.

#5 BigB and Martyn: Ok, hear me out. I know you probably expected Cleo here, but I chose Martyn instead cause even though it's less drama, it's more silliness. Cleo approaches their grudge sternly, and I just feel like Martyn would approach this 'grudge' more silly/evilly and I got to be honest it would be entertaining. The Lost Gen regularly talk about BigB in their POV's and seem to 'reject' him (haha get it?)/hold some grudges against him, so this would def be fun to watch. However, similar to Scar, as a BigB watcher, I would be shitting my pants from the tension of watching his episode so while it would be fun, it's in 5th for this reason.

Side Note: Personally I have been skeptical of this theory, however I was also skeptical of the gimmick that ppl theorised this season (...Martyn got in my head) and it turned out to be true so, I wanted to give this a try.

Why do all Pearl fans seem to love the Nosy Neighbors so much? I'm just asking because if you look in the tags of the art vaguely10 just posted, its all the big Pearl blogs freaking out about how much they love the NN?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to phrase this but like, for me this is what it is. BigB was nice to her and seemed to understand Pearl and not expect her to be anyone she wasn't. Especially now after Wild Life and with how Past Life is going, it's nice to remember that there was once a Pearl alliance that trusted her to do what she needed to do and to take care of him without without questioning her loyalty or competence. Also, he took care of Pearl in turn. And in general I feel like their styles of playing the game and their senses of humor meshed well.

The Mounders were nice as well, but I think there's something about the way that BigB went along with Pearl's plans and the way they were sort of alone together. Two people who get regularly misunderstood by the other players, teaming up and staying loyal to each other the whole game. Pearl's devotion to getting him a win and her devastation when she couldn't.
