Okay so recently SE released some new KH4 screenshots and that includes a rotary phone. Which I think it will be relevant in KH4. Someone on Twitter mentioned that wind phones are used as a way to speak with loved ones after they pass on.

I got curious about wind phones so I did some research. Wind phones originated in Japan in 2010, where people can make one-way conversations with their loved ones who passed away.

This made so much sense since Quadratum is considered as an afterlife. And number four (from "Kingdom Hearts IV" the title itself) is considered as unlucky in Japanese culture. The word four (shi 四) is homophonous to the word death (shi 死).

It had me thinking, what if Strelitzia is waiting for a call from Lauriam? And Sora is waiting for a call from his friends. What if every time they expressed their grief for their loved ones who passed away, the phone would ring and they could answer it and hear what they're saying?

These are all my speculations, especially the latter above. We don't have hard evidence yet about the real meaning behind the rotary phone in the screenshot, but it makes sense when you connect the dots. Especially when all of it relates to death.
