people think hinata loving and respecting naruto before anyone else is less valid because she couldn't tell him directly when she was younger but even if we don't take in consideration the fact the girl had social anxiety and trauma and could barely look into people's eyes (thanks hiashi) she did do things for him that went out of her comfort zone like was she not the first person he opened up to about his insecurities? didn't she give him the ointment when he was hurt? literally slapped that dumbass to bring him back to reality when he was about to give in?

no it doesn't make it any less admirable to me that she was able to at that age see him as a innocent boy who was admirable to the point she turned him into her inspiration to keep going when she was being crushed by her clan. he never had to prove ANYTHING to her she just saw he was good despite all the alienation she went through like any other kid. she never believed any of her clan's traditions and she never believed anything people said about naruto and yeah i do think that's special considering her age and the fact everyone else needed to be proved wrong before changing their minds about naruto (with the exception of like...ramen guy)

anddd it did matter and made a difference to naruto when he found out. even if he didn't knew right from the beginning and OF COURSE he had important bonds before her regardless of how long it took to form them but it IS special to think about someone who never doubted you who never looked down on you even if you didn't notice at first

stop trying to vilify something that's GOOD
