The seeker manages to time his maneuver exactly right, landing right on top of Blurr’s vehicle mode. The force of the landing smashes through the weakened track, sending the two of them into a freefall toward even deeper tiers of the city.
Blurr transforms and lashes out, attempting to knock Starscream away from himself and hopefully into a building or support.
blurr-idw:
The exit is fairly obvious on the other side of the structure. Starscream may be hovering there for a few seconds before Blurr comes flying out the other end to continue racing down what remains of the eleveated expressway. If he acts fast enough, he might be able to ambush the Autobot before he gets out of range or line of sight.
When he gets out the other side, Starscream attempts to drop down and land on him.

Iacon. Sentinel Prime era.
Tonight at Iacon West’s Quadrant Delta Convention Center, a large crowd is gathering to celebrate the promotion of the decorated Commander Sentinel to Sentinel Prime, the new Cybertronian military leader who would take the place of the deceased Nominus.
A lot of people have been invited, mostly middle to upper caste types, and of course anyone who worked for the government, which given Tumbler’s position with the police force, included him.
The gala is definitely a very exquisite affair, with holomatter projectors sending all sorts of resplendent designs dancing across the walls and ceiling. Music permeates every corner of the room, and tables are lined with the finest energon available. Dancers are performing a complex routine on a stage up front near the windows, waving sparkling batons with luminescent flags attached to them.
Quite a few distinguished athletes, politicians, and other entertainers are here as well, including Senators Proteus and Decimus, and of course, Sentinel Prime himself. Among the athletes are Drag Strip, Fasttrack, and the famed record-breaker, Blurr.
Not everyone here is happy, though. Outside the doors is a group of protesters standing there holding up anti-primal lineage and anti-Proteus signs. They aren’t being too disruptive yet however, so they’ve been largely ignored.

No one is as fast as Blurr on the ground, that much is clear, so trying to catching up to him is probably a lost cause. But Chasedown may be able to ambush him from an angle and attempt to force him in the direction they want him to go--toward the traps set by his teammate. Or at least knock him off course.
The distance is closing as the Autobot comes closer and closer, still apparently unaware of their presence--the time to act is now.
@silverwheeleddecepticon
Nyon.
Or at least what’s left of it, vorns after Hot Rod’s desperate plan to prevent Zeta Prime from exploiting the denizens of the city for his own nefarious gains. It has lain in ruins ever since then, with the war’s strain on resources enough to prevent any restoration or rebuilding efforts. Debris and broken pieces of fallen structures litter the ground, as well as dead body parts.
But tonight, there is some movement. Fast movement. So fast, in fact, that a sonic boom cracks through the air, causing an already dilapidated half of a defunct building to crumble and finally collapse. Pieces of scrap metal clank and clatter as they tumble down over the edge of a cracked roadway and into the subterranean tiers of the ancient ruins. There’s no mistaking who that is now…after all, who else can move that fast on the ground?
Far-range sensor array data from sub-orbital probes belonging to the Decepticons have picked up on this activity and triangulated its source to the eastern sector of the Nyonian ruins. According to intel from various local sources, the Autobots are planning on transporting some some kind of new weapon across the ruins. Contacts hadn’t managed to get too much detail, but what they do know is that the technology has the ability to quickly manipulate people’s thoughts and therefore behavior–which sounds ominously close to the Senate’s old mnemosurgical ways, only potentially much worse, since you don’t need a doctor to pull a trigger.
Perhaps, some things never change.
The task is simple–track Blurr down, find out as much as possible about the weapon he’s carrying and then hopefully destroy it. Or steal it. Although one probably wouldn’t want Megatron to find out if that happened.

When Fasttrack approaches, Blurr immediately whips his out his weapons and takes a defensive position as if expecting her to attack, causing the others to scramble and cower. However, he relaxes--though only slightly--when she doesn't appear to have any hostile intentions. Still, she doesn't appear to be wearing any sigil or badge either, and that makes him immediately wary of her motives.
"And who are you, exactly?" He asks, eying her suspiciously, then glancing at her ship. "That yours?"

She shook the thought and looked closer to the pod where she knelt down for a closer look. Thank Primus there was no living being in this pod, why the slag would it be here though? Especially this particular object. It, of course, had Cybertronian written all over it. It was better off in her servos than another alien race. Taking the container and examining it, she could make out some familiar symbols, but the environment she was in was too dark. A better inspection would be on her ship; so holding it close, Fast Track quickly made her way back to her vessel. She set it on a small table with a light hanging over it for further examination.

If he acts fast enough, he might be able to ambush the Autobot before he gets out of range or line of sight.
blurr-idw:
Fortunately for Starscream most of the walls that are still standing aren’t very solid, and simply shatter when he smashes into them, sending debris flying. Blurr jumps off of the mezzanine and grabs onto a ledge, pulling himself up into a partially-collapsed tunnel through a building that probably used to be an inter-sector expressway of some kind.
The speedster continues to try riling Starscream up even further. “You’re right! I don’t understand! That’s why I’m wondering!” he laughs, sliding under a section of the passage where the roof has caved in. There are some…gaps in the ruined metal there, just big enough to fit a seeker’s alt mode…although getting through them require perfect aim and timing. The seeker is an aerial ace no doubt, but can he handle maneuvering through the precariously narrow pass? Or will he be smart about it and stick to the ground for this?
When he is calm it wouldn’t have been too much of a challenge for him.  As it is, he tries once and slams into the metal.  Then he starts searching for the exit so that he can catch Blurr on the other side. “Come out coward.”

Blurr looks surprised when Swerve insists Ten isn’t a drone. “Oh, really? Fooled me but hey I genuinely didn’t know!” He really does look like one. “Sorry about that. Learn something new every day, I guess.”
He sighs when the minibot refuses to do any metallurgy. “And why not? Come on, think of it this way. This is for your business, it’s just using a little bit of your prior experience to improve your current career.”
“Buuuut---” he shrugs. “If you’re really not up for it, I guess I’ll just go get it myself, and then sell it to Mirage or someone else. Good thing you’re not the only one with entrepreneurial ambitions, huh?”
blurr-idw:
Blurr glances up at the sign, smirking slightly. “Right, right.” He refrains from making a scathing comment insinuating that Swerve is attempting to make him look stupid.
The minibot is assuming Blurr is talking about something on Cybertron, which may not be the case. “Well,” A grin spreads across the speedster’s face. “I came across something the other solar cycle that I thought you might be interested in. I mean, I’m sure you get plenty of business here, but don’t you think it’d be nice if you had a little something new to get your patrons excited about?”  He pulls out a datapad, with a map of some uncharted planet on it. “LV-120. One of our probes recently picked up on a bunch of liquid hexium underground. No one else cares about it but–distilleries back in the Golden Age used to use it for making Cytigian Premium, one of the rarest delicacies even back then. It disappeared after the Clampdown, since the most important ingredient was never found planetside and no one was allowed to leave just to go looking for materials for some fancy drink. But–now that the war’s over–Swerve, maybe you can bring it back!”
How does Blurr exactly know all this random stuff about the engex trade? Perhaps he and Swerve share more interests than the speedster usually lets on. “It’s under a pile of zolanium deposits but we have designs for a steel alloy drillbit, all we need is for someone to put it together.” He waves toward Swerve. “And what do you know, right here we have a bartender who is also a metallurgist. It’s so perfect, isn’t it?”
“Oh, yeah, and bring that uh–drone who works here, too. Something that size just might come in handy.” Yeah, there’s probably something Blurr isn’t telling Swerve about this planet and who might live on it.
Swerve seems mighty interested in the idea – right up until the end; he closes off completely, EM field turning flat. “I’m not a metallurgist anymore,” he replies, voice sliding right into professionally friendly. “And Ten’s not a drone.”
He feels bad enough treating Ten as he had before, and he may still slip sometimes but he’s working on being kinder to his assistant. He’s not going to let other people treat him like a drone on top of it. He’d be a terrible friend if he did. “I don’t do that kinda work anymore, you know? Haven’t for awhile!”
The minibot leaves it there, doesn’t even bother bringing up just how much he doesn’t appreciate being treated like a friend when all Blurr wants is someone to do something for him. Especially when it’s clear Blurr can’t be bothered to do something as simple as remember his name, even when it was on a giant sign over his head before he came in.

“He’ll be all right, don’t you worry,” Axle reassures, ignoring Rung’s frustrated muttering. “Our medics will make sure he gets proper rest. Your job is done for today.” So apparently no, he may not. “See you again another day.” The mech really seems over-eager to get rid of Rung right now.
“Blurr! Oh Primus!” Rung is immediately beside him, servos gently checking him over. The poor thing, the exhaustion was clear this close and with the mech still. The fact that he was so exhausted he went into stasis lock further his resolve to break the speedster out.
“H-He collapsed! A medic needs to be called!”

blurr-idw:
Blurr immediately darts off through the ruined streets as soon as he sees the shot connect, but it doesn’t last as long as he’d hoped. Scrap. “Oh, yeah?” he shouts back at Starscream’s insults. “I bet he’d love to hear you say that about him–you know if  Megatron’s such a coward why do you even take orders from him? Why don’t you just start a mutiny and overthrow him? I’m sure the other aerospace people would gladly follow your lead, right?”
Hmm…the speedster searches for somewhere he can more easily lose his pursuer. Ahead, the ground opens up to a view of Nyon’s subterranean tiers–perhaps that’s where he needs to go. He turns toward a downward-sloping ramp that is severed halfway across the chasm, jumping off at the end and landing on a lower level outdoor mezzanine. Less open space down here for Starscream to fly around in. More obstacles.
“Like an idiot like you would understand!  SHUT UP!”  When Starscream is mad he gets reckless, he plunges down following straight after Blurr with almost no hesitation.  He immediately comes into contact with a wall, but he keeps going, a little more slowly now.

It’s not long before they’ll pick up on those pops that indicate the presence of something traveling faster than the speed of sound. A streak of blue and white followed by a lot of dust and debris flying up in its wake can be seen from a distance through the destroyed buildings, headed in Chasedown’s general direction.
Given that Blurr can move much faster than most, indeed the best strategy would likely be to intercept him before he can get past them--trap him somewhere he can’t escape no matter how fast he drives or runs.

Either he hasn’t recharged or enough or has been exhausted by some strenuous activity. Or a combination of both.
Axle’s voice comes on the intercomm again. “Ah, sorry. He must just be done for today. Sometimes it’s difficult to determine if he’s tired or not, since he doesn’t usually show any of the signs. Still, we will make sure he’s healthy. Thank you for your time again today, Rung. See you again soon.”

He pauses momentarily to try to switch his weapon to the electrolaser–designed to incapacitate–and squeezes off another shot at the seeker in an attempt to temporarily paralyze so that he can rush off!
It hits Starscream who lets out a pained hiss.  Disturbingly it only slows him down for a few seconds, and mostly just managed to make him angrier.  Starscream was behind again, so now he’s dashing forward, attempting to overtake Blurr again. “You fight like Megatron!  Like a coward, only at least he does it because he knows he will win anyway.  You’re just a coward!”

Inevitably, the locals do not respond well to Perceptor’s approach. “Gods! Another one!” they shout, immediately assuming the worst. Military personnel immediately open fire on him, although most of their weapons don’t do too much damage to his armor. Still, there are a lot of them so it is bothersome at the very least.
His shouts to Blurr don’t get him any response. The speedster appears to be frantic about something--perhaps whatever is affecting him has caused some hallucinations. He picks up one of their tanks and throws it across a city block. It smashes through several buildings and explodes into flame.
Nope, it wasn’t looking like talking him down was going to work.
Meanwhile, the energy signature of the fusion weapon is steadily rising. It’s almost fully charged....
If one wondered what a bad to worse situation looked like, it’d be this. Wails and screams from the organics mixed in with the resonating charge that came from the very ground due to the weapon were not a welcoming ambiance. Thankfully, the hill was a good vantage point, and Percy unhooked his Sniper from his back, took a knee, and decided to scope out the situation.  Focusing on the weapon, it didn’t look like it was going to fire anytime soon. But if it did- catastrophe. Loads of military personal seemed to scatter the base it sat upon, and littered what remained of the streets below. The very sight made him look up from his rifle, and scan the wrecked city for a burst of activity. Wherever the telltale snap of the speedster’s takeoff would be a hint alone. Just as he thought- snap. A boom sent a tall office building crumple into the streets below. Dipping his helm back into his sights, he focused in the scene and -gotcha. The winged Wrecker. He seemed to be manic, no real reason to his path, so this was to be interesting. Snapping the sniper to his back once again, he darted down the hill and into the destroyed entrance of the cityscape. Going for the wrecker would be more sensible than the weapon, as stopping the Wrecker by much less violent means would be seen as better than destroying a city for it. “Blurr!” He shouted out as he jogged down a level street, both verbally and on local comm lines. He didn’t expect and answer, but at this point what the speedster could comprehend was a mystery.

“Okay, okay!” Blurr puts his arms up in surrender. “Vector sigma...” he mutters. He hates it when his own teammates underestimate him. He pulls out a datapad with a map of an uncharted planet, LV-120 on it. “Command says there’s a ununtrium deposit in the southwestern quadrant. Mostly uninhabited except for a few tribal natives with primordial technology. The terrain isn’t the best, but according to the readings there’s more of it there than we’ve ever seen anywhere. Crazy, really. But we need someone who can lift a lot at once. I scout ahead, find it, light a beacon and you grab as much as possible and take it to the extraction point. Also if we run into any resistance from Decepticons or anyone else...” he makes a shooting motion with his fingers. “Well you know.”
Verity grabbed him pulling the mech close the Magnus armor gwve a stern glare, “Not every one in the Slagging galaxy needs to know the Magnus is just a suit. Got it?” The armors hand released letting the mech back, the optics narrowed at the blue bot, “What can I help you with, Blurr?”

Starscream’s shot catches him in the upper leg as he is flitting by, denting his minimal armor and causing him to stumble a bit. He winces but regains his footing quickly and keeps moving–continuing to skirt around his opponent’s flanks. Better not make an easy target out of himself. “Aww, did I scratch your paint? What a shame you won’t look perfect any more, at least for a little while.”
“Doesn’t matter, I’m still miles ahead of you in the looks department.” He sneered.  He fired off 10 rapid fire shots, most, if not all completely missed.

Uh-oh, Blurr needs to keep his movements slow? That’s not going to be easy. He sits down on the chair he just picked up and starts to do as Rung asked, but all of a sudden flops over onto the floor.
He seems to be all right, just stasis locked from exhaustion. He actually hasn’t recharged properly in several solar cycles. Why that is remains a mystery for now.
“I thought we’d work on something a bit more ‘servos on’.” Rung was grateful for the change in subjects. “I wanted to see how quickly you could learn a new language, and I’m doubtful anyone has taught you ‘hand’. Would you like to learn it?”

The war was over. Or so they say. But until the day every Autobot and every Decepticon could live together in peace, how could it truly be? After millenia of fighting, how could the two factions ever hope to trust each other again?
Out of this distrust, violence has already sprung anew in many places. The Autobots are afraid that the Decepticons will rise up again, and attack when they least expect it. So they’ve striven to ensure that they have a contingency plan, something to quash the rebellion and prevent war from erupting once again in full.
That’s what a lot of people are after. Safety. Order. Security. No matter the cost. Blurr happens to have...abilities that no one else has, and also happens to be someone who doesn’t often give his actions much thought or question his superiors’ motives before simply diving in and doing. Which makes him an excellent candidate for operations that need to be quick, clean, and clandestine...
“Hey, chill your afterburners,” Blurr chuckles when Verity is startled by his movements. “I wasn’t going to hit you. In fact, you’re just the person I was looking for.” He squints a bit. “Or...whoever’s in there this time.”
@blurr-idw
The Magnus armor walked around, his arms behind his back doing routine patrols per usual keeping tabs on everything in his sector.
He raised an optic brow the signature scowl making the younger ones mind,
The mech went to transform then gasped dodging a blur going right past him, “Watch it!”
