Fun fact about Jae; I’m a writer. I’m 65k+ words into my first book right now, almost done matter of fact and I always thought—

“Oh, you know what would be a fun way to connect with my DR and skits? Writing about them. It’s like a little form of scripting that could be fun.”

And yet.

For some ungodly reason, every time I sit down and I really get into the zone - because a lot of my skits are lore heavy - I sit there and I realize I could be there rather than trying to write about it. Immediately any motivation goes right out the window. Why am I going to spend time trying to claw up these emotions in how I’m going to feel or what I’m going to do when I could just go do it. Like what am I sitting here for when I could just go?

It gets me EVERY TIME

Y’all, hear me out

A fame skit, but, stay with me here: I’m a cryptid of a person. No one really knows who I am, or where I came from, I just kind of showed up one day and got famous. And I always know shit I shouldn’t.

I always see people with Fame DRs, and honestly the idea never appealed to me. I’ve got other places for money, and nice stuff, and I actually loathe the idea of having that much attention put on you.

But I love the idea of fucking with people— without consequences of course. Let me paint you a vision;

You’re a celebrity, pick any one. This random actor just shows up in a movie one day and starts blowing up overnight. People seem to love them. They’re winning awards, they’re making TV, they’re doing tons of work. They never seem to have a problem with paparazzi. And they seem pretty chill. Then the one time you talk to them they casually make note of some horrendous, scandalous secret you had to pay some guy millions of dollars to scrub off the face of the Earth.

And they just knew that. For NO reason. They know everything, about everyone.

I just think it would be suuuper funny to mess with people like that, with the idea that no matter what they do or who they hire to try and get rid of me, or scandalize me, nothing ever happens. I’m just there, existing. Menacingly.

I don’t want the skit for the fame I want the skit for the secrets. And the chaos.

I hope y'all know that it's literally called the law of assumption. If you think your method is going to work, then so it be. If you think you can tell yourself that you have your desire already in your 4d and you ALSO know it's going to manifest to the 3d and still show importance to the 3d and you think it's not going to "ruin the process", THEN SO IT BE. It's all based of your own assumption istg!!

We still like to overcomplicate it and tell ourselves "hey you shouldn't focus on that if you want your desire", in the end it's your very own assumption that's going to manifest in the 3d.

Ａ post in which I tell you about my beloved system, which runs The Lobby

I don't feel like I gave The System enough credit in my original post on my single DR. It actually does a lot and essentially runs the entire lobby, so I'd like to expand on that.

The System is basically a very big super computer/AI. If you're any familiar with LLM models, you'll know that how 'smart' they are is measured. Like how an 8b model will always fare worse than say a 70b model. Consider The System far past anything we have in this reality. It's main purpose is to study me, and use what information it gathers to constantly construct and play skits in ways that will always be enjoyable for me.

The easiest way it can gain it's data is from something I like to call the Control Skit.

Back in my wee years of Shiftok - IknowIknowIknow - I had read somewhere that it would be easier to get to your Better CR or your waiting room if you made it closer to your Current CR. Obviously we know it's all bullshit now, but it's something that stuck with me regardless, but not in a way that makes things 'easier'. Rather, whenever I shift back, in The Lobby it's really just me running a completely identical skit to my CR/BCR. This is where The System is able to gain its data.

This is also why I can note and log things from my CR/BCR and be able to come back to them when I shift to The Lobby. For example!

Y'all already know that I love making skits based on dreams. When I have a dream I want to come back to later, or that contains something I'd like to take a better look at but woke up, I'll ask The System or Desmont to log it. If you've ever had a lucid dream, you'll know that even when you're looking at something and can control the dream-- it can still change. The System helps me get around that.

When I shift to The Lobby, I'm able to have it pull up that dream as it's own skit, and rather than things changing on a whim, it then 'finishes' these structures or objects for me in the way that I wanted, but my dream wouldn't comply with.

The System adapts, of course. People change and so do their interests and passions. I am no exception.

You'll find that even when I'm running a skit with well known characters, like my Marauder's Era skit, they might act a bit different than expected. Which is because I've more fallen in love with the idea of these characters. With the way they're portrayed in fanfiction and posts here on Tumblr. I've never picked up a Harry Potter book in my life. I couldn't tell you the deep set lore. I've seen the movies and yeah, read copious amounts of fanfiction. Things may not always be portrayed perfectly. Or maybe I’ve just fallen in love with a different version of them that exists somewhere else.

The System adapts them to my idea of them. It's built to please and exceed expectations-- and I love the damn thing for it.

Ｏmega Centauri, an Original Skit

Also based on a dream I had. Got a lot of those...

Omega Centauri, aptly named after the biggest and brightest cluster of stars, is a secret society that hand picks the children of old blood families to be taught the occult ways of the world. Like Hogwarts if it was low-key a cult and a lot darker. About 100 students are picked from all over the world. Ages range between 19-21. This sect specializes in the root of magical branches, which might leave their teachings outdated but incredibly powerful and equally dangerous. The kind of people who argue human sacrifice had a real kick to it. . .

Students are kept on campus grounds for the entire time they're enrolled. It's large and surrounded by acres upon acres of forest on one side, but also somewhat near a coast line. No one is quite sure where they are due to the fact that upon acceptance you're whisked away via teleportation to campus grounds. You are not allowed to leave for the next four years, assuming you survive. No one is guaranteed to graduate and most of the students here were raised strictly for this, likely children of alumni. Good news is that all the supplies you'll need are provided to you.

Upon acceptance and after the welcome ceremony, the first month will be spent learning bare basics and testing where each student's magical aptitude lies. This is the only time where students are not allowed 'friendly fire'. At the end of the first month, the students will be run through a series of tests and trials. By the end of this, ideally, each student will be picked by a Patron. There are technically 5.

Notably, none of these titles are the entities' actual names except for The Sphinx

Being chosen will inevitably shape a student, literally and metaphorically, along the next four years as each Patron has different cores and values. Not being chosen is a possibility, but it makes survival much harder. Faculty is not responsible for keeping students alive, killing each other is not a punishable offence, and there is little that could actually land someone in trouble here. I mean, aside from maybe annihilating your entire graduating class.

If that sounds insane, it should.

The catch to this skit is that I was never meant to be picked. In a pit of jealousy, someone who hadn't been chosen accosted someone who had before they could properly open their invitation in an attempt to steal it. This resulted in the death of both parties and I accidentally find and open the invitation instead. which is kind of realistic bc I pick up shit off the ground all the time, like a gremlin

As a result, I instead take the original student's spot by being teleported and essentially magically kidnapped. I basically unintentionally steal their identity. Good news, it wasn't a particularly influential nor big family name, so no one immediately knows I'm not said student. Bad news, for that exact reason no one is entirely sure whether I'm a threat or not bc they've never heard of me.

I'm basically put in survival mode for the next four years unless I can somehow either figure out a way to escape or burn this place to the ground from the inside out. Or, alternative to all that, I ride the lightning for the next four years and see where it gets me.

This skit is meant to be a wild ride and most of the plot has been put purely in the hand of The System rather than myself. It's supposed to be giving 'Never let them know your next move'. Additionally, as you can imagine, this skit will probably often be 18+ and any posts in relation to it will be appropriately labeled when necessary.

Lastly, I design update posts for each skit. This one was too pretty not to share ahead of time. Here's the sample:

Ｔhe Game, an Original Skit

The Game is actually based off a dream. It's one of the most versatile skits that I have because it can involve anyone from any universe. Essentially, 'The Game' is an entity that presents itself to those it deems in need of its services in the form of a music box. It introduces itself slowly into your life at first. Someone mentions it to you, as if it were a myth. You hear someone talking about it in hushed tones like it's a rumor. What it is. What the rules are. What it looks like.

The entity can give you anything, quite literally anything.

However, first, you have to survive the pocket dimension it's created. There are multiple levels, not necessarily in a specific order, and there are so many it's normally at random-- Save for the very first level, which is always the same. These levels play like dreams. They aren't supposed to make sense but sometimes they can. They twist and change.

And then, in a mundane fashion you'll stumble upon that music box. It's your choice of course to whether you'll turn the lever or not and play the song. But you'll only get one shot, if you don't play the box you'll never see it again. More importantly, if you don't make it out, that's it. You never make it out. But if you do it, if you win, you get anything.

"But Jae," You say, "Where do you come in?"

Great question. I've played The Game. I won. My choice was to stay in the infinite amount of levels and basically do whatever I want. Like God, or Minecraft Creative Mode. But because of this, I basically get dragged into playing every time someone decides they want to try their hand at it. I don't have to help them, nor do I have to abide by the rules, but I've been there so long I know it all so I try anyway.

I like this skit a lot because one, I tend to lucid dream a lot, and I love the way dreams feel. Like a hazy awareness where you can do anything, but at the same time anything can happen and you're just along for the ride. And two, as I said, anyone can play The Game. So I can toss any character I want into this skit, for whatever reason they may have felt the need to play, and watch them run through an infinite amount of trials and stories. Technically The Game only has 5 levels, but that also means each different character will be a completely individual experience every time.

Dreams are often what drive my Original skits. But not every single one gives me something good enough to work with. So I like the idea that the ones which didn't make the cut or weren't relevant enough for me to bother recording or remember can be formed into some kind of amalgamation to create something better for these levels.

I have no idea who I'll throw in here first. So many choices. . .

Ｐacific Rim, an Altered Skit

Side note; I not sure I've ever actually made mention of it, but my gender and appearance fluctuates throughout different skits. I think this might be the only script(ish) I've shown so far that makes any description of me. This is subject to change in damn near every skit, so bear that in mind.

I don't think I've seen anyone shifting for this, although I'm certain there's gotta be someone out there...But if you think I'm here to fight monsters, two words. Fuck. That.

I'm here to study those bad boys. I mean oh my God, how COOL would that be??? Let me in.

I never liked the idea of Pacific Rim taking the Kaiju and making them alien made. Sure, it came together in the end I guess but I far prefer the idea that there's a species of monster who truly just have tons of variety and some kind of hierarchy that isn't 'built' or 'grown'. I want to study the different types and how they play a role inside an ecosystem we've yet to make contact with. Like a 'Middle Earth' if you will. And maybe they accidentally found a way into our world, and now we're forcing our way back into their's in hopes of shutting down the breach.

Don't ask me questions quite yet lmao, but I'm so stoked for this skit. It's also technically my first poly skit, given that the S.P's are the pilots of Lockdown.

Strap in, I tried to keep it to the need to know basis only, but there's still a lot bc I like to ramble

Meet the family, House Malyx

House Malyx is a house that brings dread.

“Oderint dum metuant.”— Let them hate, so long as they fear. The family motto.

To carry the Malyx name was to “bear a weight greater than God and gold”, if one believed in such things. They're dark artists. Their blood entered this world with the bearings of Hell, natural born sorcerers. A gift and an eventual curse. Due to their mixed blood, Malyx have a tendency to live longer than most, although death finds them as easily as anyone else in the end— And when it does, their flesh gives way to dreadful revisions of what once was. They become secrets to be kept behind the locked and charmed doors of their estate, buried deep under the floorboards.

The current state of the house holds ten members, including two wives who married in and two brothers who were brought from a separate arrangement. At the head of House stands Amaris Malyx, hailing at 142 years old but only looks about 65 at most. Her only husband passed when she hit 100. Between them, they had one sole son. Vesemir Malyx, who hails at 120 years old though only looks to be in his 60’s and married to his wife Wilhelmina, with 3 children. Two boys, one girl. The oldest was Ciro, who has yet to marry and shows no signs of attempting any time soon. Nyathera the middle child has proven, thus far, to be too wild for any true suitor but she has countless admirers. Then the youngest, Ambrose is the only child who’s married. Having settled down with the previously divorced Irina, who brought two sons with her; Morvan and Dimitri. Eventually conceiving a young son with Irina, now the youngest heir— the pride and joy of the house. That’s me :)

My father, uncle, and aunt are all at varying ages in their late 40’s early 50’s. Within the next decade and some change, their physical appearances will slow in aging.

Back in America, Vesemir had been a Wampus and Wilhelmina a Horned Serpent. Ciro and Ambrose had both been Thunderbirds, while their sister Nyathera had been a Wampus like their father.

In Britain, Irina had been a Gryffindor while her two boys had been sorted into Slytherin. Then I, while in America had been a Horned Serpent. When transferred to Hogwarts I’d been sorted into Hufflepuff— much to the amusement of both brothers.

House Malyx moved from America, where they truly come from is unknown.

Ambrose Malyx’s reputation came from how quickly he scaled the ladder of the MACUSA, becoming one of their best aurors, specializing in hunting down Sieges and dark wizards. The fact remained, Ambrose took after his now retired father and brother. He was and is one hell of an auror.

Earning enough of a reputation that he was headhunted for a position under M.O.M. He agreed to be a temporary fill in overseas for some time, where he met Irina. When it was time to go back he brought her with him. The two proceeded to be married and for the first 13 years of my life I was raised in America. When my mother grew homesick, my father packed us up without a second thought and moved the whole family to Britain— well known by that point for giving in to his wife’s every whim. Thus, I transferred during my 3rd year. In the meantime, my father clawed his way up and became Head Auror.

We’re picking this bad boy up at the beginning of 6th year.

The only real last thing to note is that House Malyx’s ‘psuedo-immortality’ isn’t, or wasn’t, really a known subject outside of America. However, there was a collision of two revered families when they briefly came into contact with House Black. At the time, Amaris was 120 meeting a 23 year old Orion Black. You can imagine the horror and fear when she turns back up 22 years later looking no different and with three generations under her.

Ｍarauders Era, an Altered and Remixed Skit

GrimGrimoire is my beloved childhood game and I couldn’t pass up mixing it in! It runs a good majority of this skit. This note is of course optional, but explains a fat amount of the world building changes here.

The Wizarding World is constructed on the pillars of four branches of magic; Glamour, Necromancy, Sorcery, and Alchemy. History will say most branches were given to the first wizards, but none will agree in what order. Glamour was given by the fae, Necromancy was discovered through the Spirits of Old, Sorcery was of course founded through pacts with demons. Alchemy was the only branch to be created through the hubris of man and is considered the youngest branch of magic.

NOTE: Ghosts are not so freely seen or interacted with in this world. Necromancy is necessary most of the time, and when there is a haunting often it is an isolated incident that caused it. Think of it like how ghosts would be in our world. Location plays a heavy part in which ghosts are summoned.

Dark or black magic could come from any branch, there’s two sides to every coin. While it's easy to see sorcery as evil from an outside perspective, the wizarding world views it just as foundational as the others.

A prime example would be creating a Siege. Which is what happens when a low level demonic entity is shackled and forced into human flesh. What comes out isn't pretty. This is a very common abomination that 'Death Eaters' use in this world. This is done via Sorcery and just one of the many dark sides of magic.

Common magic is what comes in between and has an unknown source. Its generalized energy put forth with intention, like ‘Accio’ for example would be energy or magic put out with the intention of bringing something to you. Hogwarts in this skit still teaches common magic, but with each passing year you are vetted to see which pillar you excel in and will inevitably go all in during your 7th year with 1 or 2 other classes for either common magic or electives. You can either to run with your natural inclination, or it’s possible to work towards a certain branch and test your abilities at the end of the year.

Should you not show a particular predisposition for one or another by the end of 6th year, there is a standardized test that will see where you stand. Some people, few and far, simply do not specialize in anything. While it’s typically frowned upon by society; There truly are no disadvantages to simply being average. Magic is magic.

College and university will take the deep dive into these branches should you choose, or not depending on what job you want. However, consider some branches will give you an advantage. I.E those who work with dragons would benefit from Sorcery.

While you can still bring average animals to school, imps, low level fae, and proven stable homunculi are now included.

Anomalies was my very first original idea and one of the main drivers to why I got into shifting as hard as I did! It has two versions. To understand better what the story is;

Anomaly Zones are commonplace in the world, but very few people know how they started. Even fewer know how to properly locate one. No one is quite sure how they started, just know they’re incredibly dangerous, and have one of the highest kill rates in the world as they’re not just native to North America.

An Anomaly zone is an area that will either transport you into what can be considered an ‘upside down’ mirror copy of wherever it’s sitting, or an area that shows no signs of difference until you’ve already entered it. The former are the worst, usually have complex ways of getting out if you can, and tend to be inhabited by unearthly creatures. The latter have a higher survival rating, but usually come with a set of rules that must be followed.

They tend to have an effect on the areas around them. On top of this, things are liable to escape from these zones every now and then, which can also effect surrounding areas.

Without any outright drastic events these zones can go unnoticed for a long time if not forever.

In the first version of this skit, me and who you'll come to know as Madison Kingston explore the anomalies over the summer before our senior year to unravel the mysteries of our home town until we find the very core of it all. And it's sentient.

In the alternate version of this skit, I'm an anomalous investigator who's just coming back to my home town on a field assignment. I end up finding who you'll come to know as Morrigan Grimsley, the mayor's son who went missing during our senior year for reasons unknown: Until now.

shifting culture is creating a dr for literally everything you watch/read and then realizing a week later that you don't actually want to shift there that bad.

I understand how frustrating and demotivating it is when your 3D hasn't caught up with your 4D yet. But keep going, repeating those affirmations. Take a deep, breathe, and stop worrying. What is a little more time to eternity <3

We need to stop telling people to “ignore their 3D” and other stupid stuff like that, it just serves to discourage and make loa sound harder than it is. As humans, it’s only natural for us to look for physical evidence of things - it’s like someone having a broken arm and you telling them to keep pretending and using that arm like it’s fine until it heals - that’s not possible and will only result in more pain.

Instead, let’s start viewing our 3D as malleable and temporary, something that CAN and WILL change. “My 3D may not be the most favourable right now but I know that will change soon, my desires are coming.” Think of it as a planned trip - everything’s set up and you know that you will travel even if you’re not on the desired destination right now. That’s why methods that include setting up a date work so well for a lot of people.
