Aching Noises Near Apathy

I used to fight myself, before

As you carefully spoke her name

Why couldn't have time waited more?

I asked, when the answer stayed the same

Your hands memorized her every line

When they laid her on a paper piece

I'd resent the way you described

That fleeting moment, that never ceased

The way her bewitching presence flies - it hovers

Above a distant memory in an eerie place

Where you still lose your breath to that gaze of hers

And remember her beautiful, white-stained face

I should not have been there... Not now, or ever.

My light doesn't shine bright enough

To cast her lurking shadow away and forever

I'm bound to these bloody, thorned cuffs

My wrists glow with purple bruises, yearning to be freed

Like the heart that's pounding against its bone-cage, at a hammering speed

And they can't help, but silently stare

How I curl and ache in brutal despair.

Seems I haven't learned to accept

That some things can't be changed

Clocks don't tick backwards, except

In your desperate mind - it all gets rearranged

My empty hands don't carry roses

They can't even bear a single tear

I feel how slowly my interior closes

And my nails bitterly claw out of fear...

"Maybe one day, I can be thought of fondly, too

As a melody so elegant, immersed in deep blue

Maybe I'll live a day without having to feel...

How sharp knives can cut with their lifeless, cold steel."

Hide My Tears

Thinking I can overcome

The piercing sting it brings

But I'm wrong

My soul becomes bare,

Unwrapped in vulnerability

And I let these ivory fangs bite me

Until my heartstrings are pulled apart

Funny, it almost feels like...

Sometimes I get drowned in my emotions. Pain that becomes something more profound, tends to bite and tear at my soul. I haven't found a way to ease it, besides pouring it into my artworks, in hopes that I can at least craft something beautiful with it... Rainella the Clown becomes furious with Uncle Monty after he still doesn't like Rapunzel and refuses to show gratitude towards her after she had rescued him and her disguise was revealed. To teach Monty a good lesson, Rainella dangles him over the bridge, threatening to drop him. - A full scenery commission done for natashayelcich who also owns the character portrayed in the artwork - Rainella.

"I Walk In Your Light..."

For the first time, I was given the chance for full artistic freedom within a commission, from its start to its very end. I got a bit intimidated by the wide selection of choices you could make with a single idea. 😂

But I kept seeing the same image appear in my mind, over and over again. So I decided to let that vision pour onto a digital canvas.

Our eyes are temped to seek, but the glow of our own struggles and darkness blinds us... It consumes. Let your soul listen, and let your heart seek in stead. It's easier to see, when you walk in the light.

Welcoming autumn with this fall-coloured gift card! It's been a rather tough season for me, and if any of you feel heaviness on your heart as well, or some sort of separation from your loved ones... Then may these warm, soothing colours bring relief to you. 🙏🏼 Once again, I used watercolour markers for this traditional drawing 🌊🎨

Oh dear, I don't remember the last time I've worked on a commission. Definitely been a long while! This lovely half-serpent and half-woman character belongs to @cooperbigfoot69 I got to do a lot of "free-style" with her design, it was a great opportunity to use my imagination - for both her outfit and overall appearance. I'm pretty happy with the end result, honestly! :D

Hi, everyone! I've been pretty inactive lately, with so many things changing in my life. But yet, as always I return! Sooner or later ( much later ). I decided to try a lil' fashion and design outfits related to the 12 birthstones of each month. Let's see how that goes, so far I've started with one of the most expensive ones - The Diamond. My dear sister, Just wanted to tell you "hello"! Because... My goodness- Haven't we met a long time ago? And yet, here we are. We so persistently stay... Even though struggles could have made us astray. Flown into the world like a lost, little dove. Clueless of what skies and storms we would face Your existence was sent as a gift from above... My dearest best friend, you'll never fail to amaze I might sound crazy, when I begin to tell you all this, but it comes from my heart, when I tell you "I miss"... The day we first met, is stored safely with me - "as if only yesterday's" photograph How fast the years have fled, and yet to this day, I'm reminded of our contagious laugh I tried keeping you company, when sensing your rain-dropping tears Aware of your pain, which you'd endlessly burn. Wanted to show you that it's alright, it's okay to be torn Hope my words still accompany, when you battle your darkest fears... You know? I didn't expect your support in return, Nor love or any of that, what was so unexpectedly born And so my loyalty lies, as a modest and elegant guardian. Right here, right by your side If you'll grow with a sorrow, just ask for my hand I'll stay to protect you, I'll ease all that pain No matter how far, even when I won't be in sight, I'll always be with you, and hold on to you tight... As well as a few separate pages, since I had a matching poem written, to go with the illustration. 😅 ( I posted the poem in a second part, by the way. I bring to you the vivid tigress, yet again! A fun side note, this was my very first detailed reference sheet! Was a challenging commission, and I adored it~

The angles took ages, but we'll ignore that for now, shhh... No one will know... LOL
