Ubaadah Ibn as-Saamit (radiyAllahu ‘anhu) said:
The World will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said: Separate (all) what was (done) from it for (the sake of) Allah (alone). And it will (all) separate. Then (it will be) said: Throw the rest of it into the fire.
[Kitab az-Zuhd al-Wak’ee (rahimahullah), 362]

Prophet said: Seven things continue to accumulate reward for the slave while he’s in his grave after his death.
١. The person he educated.
٢. The canal he dug.
٣. The well he drilled.
٤. The date palm tree he planted.
٥. A masjid he built.
٦. Some Qur’an’s he donated.
٧. And a child who asks forgiveness for him after his death.

Some days when I delay an act of worship, I remind myself it's not me who is needed by Allah; it's me who needs Him. And it makes sense. Alhamdulillah for the realization.

When Hasan Al Basri became sad and grief overtook him. People admonished him. So he (Al Basri) said " I have never seen Allah admonishing Yaqoob  علیہ السلام when Yaqoob said " O' my sorrow of Yunus"
Allah cherishes your heart. Wallah you will come at a point where you realise Allah has been merciful to you .
Have u ever read anywhere. Allah saying "those who grieve indeed hell is their resting place"?
Rather Allah says " Do not grieve, Allah is with you and Allah reminds you, its only few days after hardship there is ease"

Long ago, during the time of Caliph Mu'āwiyah (رضي الله عنه), a young man came to the palace. His eyes were tired from weeping, his heart heavy with grief. He had once been married to a woman named Su'd, a woman he loved with every breath in his body. But her father disapproved of him. Through political pressure and influence, she was separated from him and married to another man. Still, the young man's love never faded. He stood before Mu'āwiyah (رضي الله عنه), trembling with emotion, and recited verses filled with longing and pain:
“My heart is on fire,
I have not known peace.
Even in my grave,
I will not forget her.” The court fell silent. Everyone could feel the truth in his voice. Mu'āwiyah (رضي الله عنه), known for his wisdom and mercy, looked at him with compassion. He sent word to the woman and her new husband. Then he said:
“Let her choose... between the one who was forced upon her, and the one who truly loves her
Su'd stood bravely and answered in poetry of her own:
“Even if I had nothing,
Even if I wore rags,
I would not trade my love
To please the rich or the powerful.
To leave the one I love
Would be like walking into Hell as a disbeliever.”
Mu'āwiyah (رضي الله عنه) smiled. He ordered that she be returned to the young man. He gave them wealth, transport, and dignity.
And so, the two were reunited not by force, but by truth, by love, and by the justice of a righteous leader.

There is a lesson, Muawiya رضى الله عنه united them because of the fear of Allah and the rights of women placed by Allah. Wallahi if the scholars were to tell you the rights of women that Allah has given, you will become "ugh I need better" kinda person.
May Allah grant u the righteous spouses.

Some people have a problem with that Allah guides whoever He wills and misguide whoever He wills, "if Allah picks what does my choice matter".
Allah’s “WILL”, is not random. Exalted is He. He is the wisest, the most knowing. His guidance is not gifted randomly, or accidentally. Don’t doubt His fairness. His justice is the only justice. Your choice matters. Allah misguide the ones who reject Him and deny His signs.
“He misleads many by it and guides many by it. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient.” 2:26
“Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.” 40:35
“Indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of Allah - Allah will not guide them.” 16:104
Allah doesn’t misguide honest souls genuinely striving for the truth without any bad intentions.
If you think that Allah, exalted is He, would ever mislead someone wholeheartedly seeking Him, you have very little knowledge of Him. I genuinely encourage you to learn more.
