I'm not trying to be cheesy, but the idea of knowing you're struggling, the act of being self aware, shows you're conscious of what is happening. Change it. No one will change it for you. Like everyone says, excuses get you nowhere. And I know from experience that actually stating an excuse makes you look at yourself in a lower light than those around you. Stop making excuses. Make small changes. It really is that easy. My life has been thrown upside down multiple times. People always make jokes about me being a nerd and what not. About how I'm pretty much falling behind in what is cool or acceptable. I honestly couldn't care less. My focus doesn't waver. My goals are known to myself and those around me. I don't mind if it is a joke to others, it is my reality. I have compassion and empathy for those who have had to overcome much. But always remember someone out there accomplished the impossible with far less means. Self pity is a trap. Don't get caught.
