So it appears something happened to @valisinallforms‘s sister, Amelia. And is downing wine like a boss. @acolyte-turner is concerned and Spike has questions since she went somewhere with a Kainen Marlowe.
At The @drunkenmoogle.

Additional information –––
Smoking Habit: Non-smoker
Drugs: None, see below
Alcohol: Socially. Spike can hold his alcohol rather well though he’d lose to most Lominsans.
RP Hooks –––
Arcanists’ Guild: Approximately 10-15 years ago, Spike (then a late teenager) ran away from home and headed to Limsa Lominsa to extensively study Arcanism. His foundation for the aetheric arts would be developed and grow here and he was shown to be very adept at it to the point where he even wrote his own tomes.It helps that he was once a student in the highest academy in Ul’dah and all the other kids wanted to be friends with him because he was actually smart and they were all lazy sons of bitches.
Marauders’ Guild: Around that same time, Spike took to the axe and became a Marauder just to spite his parents and to show how unhappy he was with the plan that did not coincide with his own. Despite that, he holds his own well but he knows and is quite aware that many of them are better at this than he is.
Ul’dahn connections: It’s likely that you’ve heard of the Teagues if you are in the “high society life” in Ul’dah. His mother, Sabrina, was an excellent seamstress and textile designer. His sister, Nora, is trying to follow in her footsteps but she seems to be more interested in having someone else make her dresses than she making it herself. If you knew of Sabrina, you likely knew of their kids and how their oldest is the biggest pain in the ass but cannot deny his academic prowess. His father, Norman, was a Captain in the Immortal Flames and wanted for his son to do the same but, as previously stated, it was not meant to be. If you were/are an Immortal Flames soldier, you’d likely have heard Captain Teague say what a huge pain in the ass his eldest son was before The Calamity took place.
Are you a traveler by any chance? Especially in dangerous places? If you have a character that somehow found their way to Carteneau (Carteneau is supposed to be closed off to the general public), you may have seen Spike there. Likely wearing some... kind of weird robe and a tome. Prior to his departure from Eorzea a few years back, he could have been found all over Eorzea. You’d have likely seen him in places such as U’Ghamaro Mines, Zahar’ak, Loth ast Gnath, and The Great Gubal Library.
Are you involved with The Sons of Saint Coinach? There was some sort of... inventory count discrepancy regarding relics they have discovered while traversing around the open area of Mor Dhona. Some special stone and several tomes have been left unaccounted for, for years. Regardless, Spike is known to have helped them on their excavations from time to time.
Riding the Aether: Because of Spike’s talents with the aetheric arts, he can easily ride the aether anywhere in Eorzea, including Gyr Abania once he ventures there. This allows him to be anywhere that he needs to be. (Within reason, of course.)
Contact Information –––
Tumblr: I can always be contacted here on Tumblr, either on this blog @boldausterities or on my main blog @rakuza.
Discord: I can also be contacted on Discord. If you’d like to get a hold of me on Discord, shoot me a message here on Tumblr and let’s see what we can do.
Time Zone: I am in the U.S., Pacific Time. (GMT-8, sometimes -7).
My characters are mostly lore-abiding with some little bit of bending. It’d be great to connect with characters who follow with this as well. Too much lore-bending or stretching is cool but it’s not really for me.
I am up for most RP. Slice of life, adventuring, business ventures, open world, things like that. I am a huge fan of character development and it is precisely this that interests me. Let me set up a character and see how much they can grow, both good and bad. Spike is a “researcher”, which means he will travel. A lot. He can be just about anywhere if need be.
Formatting stolen from @thebaileymail with some cleanup. Thanks buddy LOL!
Also tagging @balmungrp and @ffxiv-crystal-rp (Balmung server) for visibility and for interest! Thank you!

He also now has an incomplete Ref Sheet -- https://ref.st/tspike
I’m actually glad I brought him back. I missed this jackass.
For those of you still wondering... no, the blue is not natural. Only time will tell when he gets it back to its original colour.

Return To Eorzea
Let it be said that one cannot run away from their problems forever. Three years past, I left a gods’ forsaken land called Eorzea in an attempt to start a new life. For three years, I lived in a small village in Mamook and tried to blend in as much as possible. Needless to say the feat itself was easier said than done. In the three years I spent there, naught was actually done aside from living. Without going into details, life was rather dull and there was naught that “called” to me, so to speak. In time, I made preparations to return to Eorzea.
Finding a vessel that traveled there was no easy feat also. It was quite easy enough to be a “stowaway” of sorts and find myself in the shores of Limsa Lominsa a little over a moon later.
One might ask themselves why I’ve taken the appearance that I do now. The reasons are fairly complicated. However, the short of it is that I wish to not be easily recognizable. I’ve had it this hair colour for several moons and it has grown on me. So I thought to myself to keep it.
Arriving in Vylbrand was quite refreshing. The air smelled quite the same. Familiar. Its inhabitants still friendly to any and all that arrived in their ports. I had even been mistaken for a foreigner so it appears my appearance has done its job. Upon arriving at Hawkers’ Alley, I came upon an advertisement for a musical dedications show and I was immediately intrigued. I thought to myself, ‘Why not. It is a hell of a treat for returning to this land.
The event took place in a venue called The Wanderer’s Elysium. I had never heard of this venue before so I thought to explore its insides. I was then welcomed by one of its guards named Romeo ( @thebaileymail ) who appears to have a penchant for the offensive but I thought naught of it and entered. As I entered, I found myself lost and met a Miqo’te lady, whom I later learned was the star of the show, Savo. ( @savothesewercat ) She was kind enough to show me the way to the stage.
I ran across a wonderful Miqo’te Keeper woman named Vila ( @twin-moons-ffxiv ) and her significant other Kainen and was invited to sit with them. The night continued to look up so I accepted. We entered the venue early enough that I was able to explore bits of the venue itself and I was quite impressed.
During the show, I received some stares from both a Wesley ( @acolyte-turner ) and a Cheyne ( @duskblackbird ) in which I merely stare back with a grin. The show itself was wonderful and I appear to have met new acquaintances along the way. Perhaps I was quick to mention to Wesley and Cheyne of my... mystical tattoos located on my back. With the abilities I possess, I must needs remain my mental faculties about me, aye? Soon enough, I knew I needed to return to Ul’dah. And reclaim the Teague estate. And see the sort of damage that my brainless siblings Stephen and Nora had done to it. The night had fallen so I waited until the morn to return. Much as I could have taken a ride in the aether, rest was more preferable.
And return, I did. I see that naught has changed in Ul’dah. The people and its adventurers that make their way here are still the same, with the same awful money-making aspirations and same intent on get-rich-quick schemes.
After having myself a chuckle, I then contacted our main butler, Alistaire. Needless to say, he seemed rather relieved of my return despite not having announced where I was headed to. He was kind enough to report on the family’s finances and so on. From what I gathered, he had been the only one to make sure both Stephen and Nora did not overspend the family’s coffers. However, I was disappointed to learn that they had fired the family’s culinarian. I believe it was time to have a word with both of them.
As I expected, I was met with disdain and anger from Stephen. He first noted my appearance and wasted no quarter on how ridiculous I looked. I then wasted no quarter on scolding him for terminating the best culinarian mother and father hired. To which, he had no words for. He then attempted to inform me that the estate was now his since I had abandoned it after I had him sign the contract which I personally created. I noted to him (as did Alistaire in the past) of the “fine print” of the contract. As I also expected, he failed to read said fine print, which included the clause of my return, that he would relinquish the rights to ownership that was left to me.
Despite Stephen’s simple-mindedness, his anger towards me was centered on the fact that I decided to leave without so much as a word to him, and without guiding him to a path he could walk. I could not find it in myself to blame him for his feelings, as I hadn’t been the brother he needed me to be. He is approaching thirty and he acknowledges his failures in his life and supposedly needs my help. As someone who hadn’t seen his family in ages, I was in no position to refuse. Perhaps it is time I did my due diligence and at least guide Stephen to a better life than the one he had been living. After coming to a small understanding with him, I set out to find Nora.
Imagine my [sarcastic] surprise when I discovered that she was spending the family’s coffers on more dress commissions. Last I checked, her wardrobe was filled to the brim with nice dresses. Enough to make even the best of the best in Ul’dah envious of her collection. As I expected, she pouted after I gave her an earful of doing this. Like Stephen, she resented my departure three years ago but she seemed more understanding of my choices. I told her of my intent on remaining here. For the now, at least.
Much as a part of me refuses to acknowledge it, I noticed quite well that Stephen and Nora are growing up. And still are. Perhaps it was a good idea that I had left, despite the butler having been there to give them some guidance. Now that I have taken back the estate, many and more responsibilities have come to my shoulders. But that does not mean that I cannot be left to my vices, aye?

As you may all know, all good things must come to an end. Considering the last two posts on this blog before this, it is with great honour that the story regarding Spencer “Spike” Teague has come to an end.
Thank you to everyone that had a hand in progressing him and making him grow as a person and giving him perspectives and outlooks different from his own. For now, he is going to find his own life to the west and perhaps do what he does best there.
Having said all of this, this blog will no longer be updated. Again, thank you for all the great times and the RP and the shenanigans.

Final Letter
The following is a letter that multiple people will receive in their inbox somehow. This letter is identical to every single person it goes to. And with that, this letter was sent to the following people:
@pacifistcrush‘s Xavier Underwood
@goringblade‘s Shawn Greyson
@tostitomiqo‘s Caen Jabari
@themenofsteele‘s Liam Steele
@dd-ffxiv‘s Dietrich Dracht
@suwanbuwan
@eksilvarenth
Zealos Hyud
@wrestlesbears‘ Jackson Ryder
Sethaner Somerville
Marcus Stone
To whomever receives this letter,
Hello. My name is Spencer Teague, though you may simply know me as "Spike." You may wonder why you are receiving this letter. None of you may know me as the type of man to write letters, in which you would be correct. In considering this, it's possible that you may come to realize that this is dire and urgent.
Well, yes and no. There is no action required on your part, should you wonder if that is needed.
I only wanted to inform you all that I am departing Eorzea, and Aldenard altogether. In considering all my options, I believe it's best that I do this. For anyone who has gotten to know me on a deeper level, you know that I possess a wanderlust that is only rivaled by my stubbornness. And because of my continued search for power that is undoubtedly linked by my wanderlust, it is only fitting that I explore other lands.
This letter also serves as a thank you. For simply being a part of my life. Whether for good or bad, it matters not. You've made a difference just being a part of my life, no matter how long or short. And it could be for a multitude of reasons. Just know that I will never forget you. And anything you've done to enrich my life and give it more meaning, I wholeheartedly appreciate it. Perhaps we will meet again. And if we do, I will be sure to meet you first. You can count on that.
And with that, this is goodbye. Again, thank you. May The Twelve watch over you all.
- Spike

“My wanderlust knows no bounds. And at times, I must consider other possibilities. Considering that my life in Eorzea has been filled with strife, discord, and with much conflict, I had considered the possibility of finding a life elsewhere. Granted, I cannot discount the good times I’ve had here for I’ve definitely had them. But as I continue to consider options, the cons outweigh the pros.
“Taking as much gil with me and as many important belongings as I can, I’ve made arrangements to leave Aldenard completely and head west. Who knew that expedition treks are seldom made in Limsa to the west through the Indigo Deep. If I am to seek life elsewhere, perhaps it’s best to seek it where I am unfamiliar to many and start life anew. To the west of the Indigo Deep is a land mass merely known as The New World. In its name’s irony, a new world means a new life. Perhaps I shall give myself a new name as well.
“Anyone may take this as they will. If this is considered cowardice, a chance at a new life, or what may have you, it’s their opinion to make. Those important to me, I must write something. To let them know certain appreciations and that they will be missed. Things of that nature.
“As I look at my document for the ship that is to leave Limsan docks, perhaps it’s wise that I start on those letters. And with this, goodbye Eorzea. Aldenard. You’ve shaped me into the man I am today and perhaps The New World will welcome me with open arms.”
- Spencer Teague
