I've seen a lot of people theorizing that Zoey's line "I lived two lives, trying to paint both sides" is referring to her having divorced parents, but I don't 100% agree with that idea.

I have a lot of friends that are from mixed backgrounds like Zoey. She was raised in the US, and likely spent a lot of her adolescents feeling a disconnect with her Korean heritage. She's Korean American that likely didn't have a lot of other Korean people outside of her family to connect with, so it was like she lived two different lives. Her Korean life with her family, and her American life outside her family.

That's just my take on the lyric.

Something I've noticed about Primos that I really enjoy is how all the kids are treated the same by the grandparents. Especially Cousin Bud and Gordita. A lot of families in real life and in the media keep themselves separated. You don't hang out with cousins from both sides at the same time. Cousin Bud and Gordita aren't Buela and Pop’s biological grandchildren. They're from Bud's side of the family. His sister's kids. But they're treated the same as any of the other grandkids to the point that Buela is Gordita’s favorite person to be around. I think that's really cool. I do hope we get to see more of Bud’s side of the family in a future season. Also I'd like to see the moms get speaking rolls. Especially Silvia and Cherry.

Imma go on a little rant real quick. I keep seeing people debating if Ivy is a good or bad character, so here's my take.

Ivy is a boring character. Not bad, but boring. She's so predictable. A rich girl from an influential family that thinks she's so down to earth and relatable, but in reality she doesn't have a clue and as soon as things aren't going her way she breaks down. You can tell she's not openly being malicious, but the way she speaks often comes off as arrogant and entitled. She's not a bad person, but she's not as smart as she thinks she is and it's gonna blow up in her face. Eventually she's going to take things too far and make a comment she can't take back that'll have everyone turn on her. We've seen this type of character before, but it's just boring at this point. Ivy definitely has potential for a good comeback, but right now she's just too cookie cutter for me to care about. This girl needs a reality check and hopefully she gets it sooner than later.

I had a thought. We know one of Isabel's original test lines was "of course I don't look down on you for that." And a lot of people assumed she would say it to Natalia about her being trans, but seeing that she and Richard are going to be working more closely together in the coming episode, I think she'll end up saying something similar to him if he brings up his husband, possibly talking about the types of music the two enjoy listening to together.

We know that Richard likely didn't have the best relationship with his parents, possibly because they were religious and didn't approve of gay people, so he assumes someone like Isabel would look down on him in the same way.

Richard needs more attention. Everyone is caught up on the Diego and Spencer thing, and not enough people are talking about how Richard absolutely ate this episode. He did so good and was a voice of reason between Lynda and Logan. I love you Richard, and you deserved that win.
