For the past two months Timothy McGee had been rushing off at the end of the day. Normally he would have stayed about an hour or so after so he could catch up on paperwork and some other things at his desk. Or stay back to help Abby with some things in her lab.

He still helps Abby sometimes but recently he has been saying goodbye to everyone. Then taking his paperwork home so he can finish it there. He has also been bailing out on dinners and group outings after work. When usually he is pleased to go. The thing that's caught Ziva and Tony's interest is the fact that he rushes out. Like he has some place to be.

So tonight after Timothy leaves Ziva and Tony come up with a plan. Its actually Tonys idea and Ziva goes along with it. "I can't be the only one that has noticed McGeeks behavior recently"

Ziva looks up from the work she is finishing up. Looking at Tony she nods "He has been acting different than he usually does. But im sure he just wants to get home." She says trying to steer Tony from making a scene.

It doesn't work as she plans because it makes Tony even more curious. "I'm going to figure out why he's been like this" before he can invite Ziva there's footsteps heard and in come Gibs. "You should have better things to do besides spying on McGee" he says as he goes to his desk and grabs a few things.

"yes boss" Tony says before sitting back down and finishing up his paperwork.

Timothy had managed to leave without causing to many questions. He just wanted to get home because someone was waiting for him. His boyfriend whom he had been dating for a year now, had moved in with him recently. It was a big change for the both of them since now his boyfriend would be home alone many hours out of the day or night. But he seemed to be adjusting well.

Even though you had told him over and over again that you were fine. That you didn't mind being home alone after coming from work. He still felt bad and always tried to come home to you as early as he could. You never once made Tim feel bad for having to work many hours out of the day. It was his own mind eating away at him.

So when he finally made it home he walked in to the smell of food. He had texted you saying what time he should be home and it looked like you had made dinner. You were standing in the kitchen in a pair of sweatpants and a sweater since Tim always liked it a bit chilly in the house. You looked so handsome even when your hair was slightly messy.

He walks into the kitchen and places a kiss to your cheek. This causes you to smile and lean against him "welcome home handsome. Im making your favorite" you said as you finished up the food.

"Thank you for doing all of this. You didn't have to, I could have picked something up on the way home" he said. You turn to look at him once you turn the stove off. Your hands grabbing ahold of his own. "its the least I could do. You are here at a reasonable time tonight. We both deserve a home cooked meal. That's shared together"

Timothy's love languages were words of affirmation and physical touch. So you knew how to get him to relax and really be here with you. He looks down at you and leans to place a kiss to your lips. A smile on both of your faces. "I will always try to make it home at a reasonable time"

You squeeze his hand before making him a plate. He had went to go sit and you placed his plate in front of him before you yourself sitting down and enjoying your meal.

During your meal the both of you talked about your day. He talked about anything he was able to share with you. Most of what he talked about was the team though. Sharing stories about Tony and ZIva mostly but there were even some stories about Abby and their boss Gibs.

Then you told him about your week and that consisted of what kids have done and said. You were a teacher and a part time baker, you had your own bakery that you were in charge of. Telling him about the crazy orders that people have put in. About how many things you have to make this weekend when you don't have school.

As the both of you talked you ate. Timothy always making sure you knew he was listening to what you said. Asking questions to keep you talking. He loved the sound of your voice more than anything.

When the two of you had finished eating he had gotten from his seat and begun cleaning up. You walked up behind him and placed a kiss to his shoulders. "thank you for helping clean up. Would you like to play a video game together once you're finished?" you ask and he instantly smiles. "of course I would. How about we play that walking dead game you like so much"

The two of you get ready and sit on the couch playing a video game together. Not hearing the footsteps that were getting near your door.

Back at the job Tony had finished everything and had managed to get Ziva into coming with him. They had gotten everything and decided to come and see just exactly what McGee was hiding from them all.

So they got into the car and stayed outside the house for a few minutes. Seeing if there was any suspicious activity going on and from the most part they could see. Everything was normal except for the fact that Tim didn't unlock his door. It was already unlocked for him which was strange because everyone who worked this job. Always locked their doors and from what they have known he lived alone.

They had grabbed some fast food and ate in the car. When they decided to walk up to the front door to knock they hesitated. The reason they stopped was because they heard laughter and slight yelling from two people. It wasn't the type of yelling out of anger it was out of mock frustration at something.

Ziva turned to Tony "come on lets leave him be. What if there's a reason he isn't telling us something"

He shakes his head "If he isn't telling us its probably something bad. Just come on" His fist knocks on the door.

Its only a few minutes until the door opens and there stood a man. One who they have never met before, that stood there in one of McGees sweaters. "Hi" you say

Tony and Ziva look at each other for a second before McGee's voice comes around the corner and he sees whose at the door. "Tony, Ziva. What are you two doing here?" he asks

"we came to check on you. You've been acting more odd than usual and we thought something was up. Is there something you need to tell us?" Tony asks as if he's some family member catching him in a lie.

You laugh and shake your head. "Im y/n. McGees boyfriend. This isn't how we were planning on telling you guys. But its nice to meet the both of you nonetheless."

The four of you all talk and get acquainted. You actually get along pretty well. Ziva and you like to pick on Tony. You and Tony lovingly picking on Tim. However when it was time for them to leave. You were glad for it cause now you can spend the rest of the night playing the game and sleeping.

Turning to look at your boyfriend the both of you laugh. "well what a wonderful way to meet your team" you say with a smile.
