This was a PITA to make work, getting characters to align so that the letters in either script looks properly kerned, to emulate word-wrapping. Took forever, but it's fully #CSS, no #JavaScript.

I got the idea from how the computer displays on #MurderbotDiaries would first show a sci-fi script and then wipe to English.

There's a #ZFS tool I find very useful — ­zfs-auto-snapshot — but unfortunately the original project has not had any updates in over a year. 😞 I have it making snapshots monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, and every 15 minutes and deleting older ones (e.g. only 48 hourlies and 62 dailies) so they don't pile up.

So I added a feature and incorporated a bunch of others and some bug fixes that had been languishing in the original repo.

If you use #ZFS and could use help managing your snapshots, please try my update of this tool and report any bugs that you find and features you think would be useful. I'd really like to keep this too alive and current and useful for the community.

Hades is doing extremely well and is pretty much back to his old self even though he feels like skin and bones when we pet him, from the drastic weight-loss. He is eating very well and that is key at this stage, and the next step will be when we stop administering the appetite stimulant. We will have to watch how quickly he regains weight as too much too fast can have adverse liver effects.

Did they not think about why the AI LLMs use an em-dash if not because human writings they stole for learning used them?

Imaging thinking actual human writers are Not Real because they use... professional writing in their works.
