Kubo sat back down in his room and took heavy breaths, his ears still ringing from Saito's execution. "It's no joke anymore, right? There's no way this many people would've died for a joke..." He slumped against the wall and flung his glasses to the side. "Fucking hell." He swore loudly. "Would it be better to hang myself...?" Kubo thought to himself as he grabbed a stool and found some rope. He carried the stool and rope out of his room.

"Airi-chan? Is everything alright? I know things have been...rough recently, but I promised I'd be there for you. Just checking up on you."
Everything that happened before finally sunk in.
She couldn’t take this anymore. She couldn’t do this. She couldn’t be trapped in this place forever, forced to kill or be killed. The chance she waited for, to meet new people and find happiness turned into this sick game. Why? She thought about what the point of this was anyway. Airi glanced at the camera in her room. That bear was probably amused seeing her like this, seeing her sad sad tears stream down her face.
They said everyone would be okay, and they’d all get out alive. They failed, they already failed. Haruto, Ellie, Klara, Kohaku. No one would ever hear from them ever again. They all let them die. Hell, they even sent two of them to their deaths. Monsters, all horrible monsters.
She used to be scared and tried to protect herself from being killed, but what was that for? Why should she have even bothered? Airi buried her face into her pillow and let out a scream through her tears. Quietly into her pillow, she mumbled, ”Please kill me. If anyone wants to murder, please come for me next.”

"Are you sure it's just hard work? You have no evidence to prove your claims." He shrugged. "Maybe your hard work is just carried by the fact that you're naturally smart as well."
Ishimaru. Have you heard of the Horatio-Alger myth? It reminded me of you. Please look it up.
Normally I would be complimented for you to think of me, particularly through an educational standpoint relating to the reality of my situation, but in this case, I am not satisfied! Those stories result in the protagonist only shifting up to a minor position in most of their established businesses, gaining little importance to society and achieving a less devastated but still commoner status! Are you saying you think I will not achieve my goal of becoming the Prime Minister!? I am insulted!

"Have you offended me? Of course you have, you dolt." He smiled brightly at him. "People like you make me sick. All life is to you is a study. Everything about you is fake. Friendships, or review guides for the test that is life? Do you even know the answer yourself, Ishimaru? Is it hard to answer questions that you can't possibly study for?"

"We have factories for everything you make, and plastic lasts quite longer than wood. Do you have anything unique?"
"Um…furniture, weapons, tools…" He thought for a moment. There was one thing. "Bowls." Yes. Bowls. Those were important. He actually had no idea what useful things people usually made out of wood. This was going downhill fast.

"Alright! Lubricant and bookcases it is!" She smiled and winked at him. "What type of wood and/ or colors do you think you’d like?"
"Black walnut will match the walls quite nicely, thank you." He smiled. "Or, finished mahogany."

"Most of my students come to me with an average of a 70%, and when I am done with them, after a few weeks, they are easily returning with 95+. Most of my accomplishments are tied to tutoring others, as I am the shsl tutor.
"So, I understand you're one of the more abrasive students here. In my experience, that either implies general inadequacy, or comparative brilliance. Seeing as you're here, I'm going to hope it's the latter."
"That’s a rather easy conclusion to make, don’t you think so? If I was a super high school level anything, and proud, I think it would be safe to assume that I am brilliant."

"Hotaru-chan?" He paused. "Oh. Do you prefer it if I don't use that honorific? Sorry, I don't really make friends with that many people, so I didn't know when to use it. I figured now would be fine, I treasure you over several of the others present here, anyways."
Dangan-Error Starter
Hotaru froze for a moment. He…. He used the honorific ‘chan’ so early in their friendship? She felt heat rise to her face, hiding it carefully in one hand and opening the doors to the gymnasium with another, remaining silent as well.
Yasuo-ue is right, isn’t he? I’ll never need to see him again when I get out of this school…

"Well, I have several dildos but I'm a little low on lube..." He paused. "That was a joke. I'd enjoy a new bookcase maybe?"
She laughed. “The thought of ‘meaningful dildo-giving’ cracks me up. And what would be a good gift to give you?”

"Calm down Hotaru-chan. It's okay if he doesn't realize anything. You don't ever have to see him again if you don't want to."
Dangan-Error Starter
"He… He’ll never realize anything, I doubt it, everything nice he’d ever do to me would be full lies in my eyes at this point. It’s like a wolf and a boy, nobody will ever believe h..his kindness ever again!" She huffed, finally managing to reach the gymnasium entrance.

"I have quite enough now Sophie, no need to get me another one. Although, one from you would be rather meaningful."
"I think they’ll be better off with you." Sophie giggled. "Now I know what to get you for holidays."

"Don't be insulted by the word 'genius' Ishimaru. It's a reality, whether or not you choose to accept it. Just like it's a reality that Oowada probably won't get far in carpentry. You use the words 'passing grades,' as if that's enough alone to get him to where he needs to be. It's not for lack of effort, but he won't make it. He tried rather hard, and you're trying even harder to inspire him. I guess it's natural for you to react this way. Your grandfather was quite the genius as well, right? Intelligence is inherited, isn't it? You're a genius, just like grandpa."

"If it bothers you so much, perhaps I should give them to you? Would you like that?" He returned her smile.
"Oh yes, placing penis shaped objects on your paper is very creative!" She crossed her arms. "It’s weird. But I guess you’re not the average person." Sophie gave a soft smile.
