Nicky & Dave put on the battle of the Persians with comics Melissa Shoshahi (@melshoshahi) & K-Von, that’s his First name, Kvon (@kvoncomedy). They put up a good battle, we learned about Kvon’s experiences on MTV’s Disaster Date & his upcoming Documentary on the Persian New Year Now Ruz that will premiere at the Noor Iranian Film Festival in October, along with a short film featuring Melissa. Melissa shared her mother’s fibs and tales of her characters and being from Seattle. She also told us about working for Persian TV and an old lady knowing her from YouTube. They faced off in the Battle of the Wax On Wax Off with Dave’s Back & Nicky’s Ankle, as well as the Battle of The Fool’s Gold Chain…After a tie breaker, Melissa took the win, bringing the count to 4-2, Guys! The girls might be able to catch up.

Battle of the Sexes is Back. And, It's May...Yay! Ok, enough of that. The guys got the belt back last month from the chicks. They must have been inspired by Dave's newfound abilityto wear the BOTS Belt (Child's Large, and don't worry, he probably can't do it again this month, but let him have his little victories) We put together another great lineup, that'll make the guys have to work at it to keep the title, plus since Ryan will be out of town, we'll have a special guest closer. That's right, BOTS folks, Battle of the Sexes returns with a vengeance. New year, revamped format. Who's excited, we're excited. And to show our excitement, Dave Swan is throwing his hat into the competition. We left off last year with Chris Neff leading the men to victory. And this year, we have altered the format a bit. Now we're doing just three rounds, for you the audience to decide which gender's funnier, those who stand or who sit. Everyone at Battle of The Sexes send our thoughts and prayers to Angelo's family and friends. He was one of LA comedy's finest joke writers and above that a genuinely great person. Also our prayers go to Josh Adam Meyers one of BOTS favorites. Hoping he has a fast and full recovery and returns to the stage soon.
