A Belgian made salt-glaze "costrel", probably used to hold brandy, recovered from a wreck off the coast of Guernsey in around 1966 by my grandfather. It bears the personal arms and initials of Ernest De Miche (E.M.), Bishop of Liege. He received these particular arms late in life and this allows us to be very specific in date of manufacture.
