#ParentingFriday Super Parent: The tears of parents whose dream for their children isn't being fulfilled as they thought it should is a big big deal. Imagine dreaming of finishing school, getting a good job, marrying the will of God and having children who will never suffer what you suffered as a child and then end up living at the bus stop, under the bridge or in debt. It is a Big deal. Its a Big deal with all need to acknowledge especially when parents are doing all the can with a straight face. Many may castigate you for throwing status in the air and doing what has to be done to feed cloth and train your children. You are a "Super Parent" You may be looked down upon by those who have it all together, just remember it's not a race against other parents but a duty to earn a smile on your children's face. You are a "Super Parent" Super Parents hang in there, you have not failed and You are not alone in this battle... Hebrews13:5-6 says ...Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. Successful people have a history of failures, set backs and disappointments. I have had my fair share of not being my best several times as am involved in speaking engagement that got me thinking. Competence doesn't mean 100% delivery all the time and Disappointments are not bad in themselves, they only prove they are gaps to be filled. Apostle Paul said, "... I want you to know, dear ones, what has happened to me has not hindered, but helped my ministry of preaching the gospel, causing it to expand and spread to many people" [Phillipians 1:12 TPT] It's time to "RESET". Don't give up, get back into the game. The end of the year shouldn't scare you. Partnership can be defined as "We win together". Partnership places you in the place of security and strenght among your own company. Partnership brings the skill, competence, gifts, etc you don't have to you in such a way that you contribute your own talents to access a common reward Acts 2:14... shows us a team in action. All tarried in Jerusalem and received the gift of the Holy Spirit but stood with Peter to preach the Gospel. A good marriage is a partnership. A prosperous relationship is working the principles of partnership. Love your children? Then don't have a dozen to compete for love, scarces financial and emotional resources among themselves. Plan your family. Then don't give them money without financial intelligence. Teach them resource management principles Then don't leave them with teacher without being the principal. Attend PTA meeting besides constantly asking about how they are doing at School and School work. I had to wait this late to say, "Thank You" to all who sent in their birthday prayers and gifts yesterday (My birthday) because the day gradually evolved into a 2 days celebration.
