Training has begun. Hoping there isn't a polar vortex this year.

There should be a word for when you really need to get on the bike in 20 minutes but also really need to drink coffee and do work (play on the Internet) for another hour

There are many road types in Belgium that you will ride on. Obviously, some cobbles. Some towns are completely cobbled. Sometimes there’s a gutter; ride there. Othertimes there are vertically laid bricks; ride there. Sometimes it’s the red bike path, or red brick, or black brick, or whatever else they had lying around that day. Just kidding. Sometimes the bike path has car parking betweem you and the road, sometimes it doesn’t. The permutations are endless. Part 1 of 2.

Finally back on the bike. Base miles begin, well for a couple days, before heading off to Scotland. Then really start riding in December. Hoping there isn’t a bunch of snow. A mild Belgian start to the winter would be great! Stay above freezing and DRY. Please.

Thought I had ridden off all of the Belgian beer, but then I realized my pants were unbuttoned.
