Muse & Insp. Valley Task
1. Vin Scully (Baseball Announcer)
My first muse for Brennan O’Kelley goes to the greatest sports announcer in all of sports. Vin Scully. For those of you that watch baseball you may have heard of Vinny once or twice. For those of you who don’t watch baseball, but watch ESPN you still probably heard of Vin Scully. He’s been a Dodgers announcer for 66 years, 2016 will be his 67th season with them, and his final.
Vin Scully is one of my heroes in real life. His passion for the sport just shows when he smiles, and when he laughs. Vin Scully can give you every fact about the Dodgers, about the players, and about their families. Not only can he give you facts about the Dodges but he can give about a hundred million facts on every team in the league, and probably a good fifty on each player. Vin Scully is not like any other announcer, he is the greatest announcer to have ever stepped foot in the Sports World. The passion he has for baseball is the greatest thing anyone could see.
I chose VInny because photography is important to Brennan, and I want to portray him as one of the greats. I understand that the Valley’s is a party show, but everyones character “works hard” in what they love. I want Brennan to be the Vin Scully of photography. So I play him as he knows what he’s talking about. It’s not just a hobby, it’s a passion, he’s educated on the subject.
“Good is not good, when better is expected” ~ Vin Scully
2. Brian O’Conner (Fast & Furious Film Series)
Everyone knows that Brian is strong willed, he started off as a follow the rules kind of guy, until he met the people who would be the world to him. That’s sort of how Brennan is, he’s strong willed, he’ll stand his ground for everything he believes. He follows the rule to a certain extent, but you have to break him out of his shell, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his family. Like Brian, he won’t give up something just because it got hard. That’s how I plane on growing Brennan as a character. Not an asshole, just someone who is passionate, strong willed, get’s in trouble every now and then, but loves his family 100%.
“Because the most important thing in life will always be family.” ~ Brian O’Conner
3. Steve Rogers/Captain America (Captain America)
Captain America or Steve Rogers is one of my biggest muses for the three most obvious things he portrays other than his super powers. He has a moral center, Captain America's sense of right and wrong is a personality trait, rather than something he's striving to achieve. Though he's often presented with moral dilemmas, he always tries to do the right thing, even when doing so is difficult. He stands for something, ever since his creation as a comic book character in the 1940s, Captain America has been written as a person who embodies what's best about the United States, traits such as individualism, justice, and fairness. He protects his team, it's no accident that Captain America's main weapon is a shield, which he uses to preserve and protect his team members, as well as bystanders. Great bosses do the same. When weirdness happens up the chain, they do their utmost to protect the team from the fallout. They earn employee loyalty by showing loyalty first.
So you see Brennan doesn’t stand for something right now, but he does have a moral center. He believes in what’s right and wrong regardless if others think the same. Brennan will always try to do the right thing, even if everyone is telling him it’s done it’s not right. He will stand in front of his family to protect them, he’s got no super powers, but he has love and for Brennan that’s enough.
“Whatever happens tomorrow you must promise me one thing. You will stay who you are. Not a perfect soldier, but a good man” ~ Captain America

Well when I figure those reasons out, I’ll be sure to tell you alright?
I like to think that everybody has their reasons beyond just because they want to be here. I always seem to come back for a plethora of reasons.

Guess it’s not, but it could have been way worse than it was.
As you said, we don’t know each other. If we did you’d know that I have no goodness in my heart and anytime I hear anyone call someone else ‘my dear’ I can only think of the skeezy wolf in Little Red Riding Hood who eats people. Not the loveliest first impression, huh?

I’m here because I want to be here, I mean why does anyone really join the show?
Then why are you here? In knowing people’s tendencies to disappear. Besides the whole family appeal, I hardly think that’s enough.

Oh I didn’t expect you to tell me, I just was wondering if you knew why. I know from watching the show that a lot of people leave with out an explanation or a goodbye.
‘Course, I talk with them on a daily basis. Since they haven’t come out and said anything official, I’m going to guess they won’t want their sister outing them. So I’ll leave it at the fact that they’re now onto bigger and greater things.

Alright, I’ll make sure to tell you to be quite.
Yeah I feel like that list will get quite long in a short amount of time. Well you should definitely go, it’s a recommendation. Good well I suppose the odds aren’t that bad then, I’ll leave it up to you to tell me to stop talking if it gets too weird.

Well thankyou Hazel, that was such a nice compliment. You’re quite cute yourself dear. Oh Idina, and Kristen were just amazing, all I wish for is them to perform together one more time. Well, I hope one day I’ll get to see you perform.
“That is what i set out to do, so you’re a complete doll - a cute one, none the less. Which means I’ll have no problem seeing more of you. The first time I saw Wicked was years ago, when Idina was still in it - unfortunately I had just missed Kristen, which is a real shame, one of the best Glinda’s out there - but I am a bit biased, because my Glinda - Katie Rose, is absolutely incredible.”

You sure made an impression Hazel Donovan. It’s a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to seeing more of you. What? No way, that’s amazing. I remember seeing Wicked for the first time when I was really little.
“Introductions - something that you need to be good at, to make sure you make a mark on anything - whether it be someone’s professional view or another’s lips - so it’s nice to meet you, Brennan - and I hope I’ve made an impression. I did a six month run on Wicked and a lot of outside work, so I took a much needed professional break from a party show.”

I’ve heard of Daphne, and Bryce. They were cool on the show, why’d they leave? Do you have any idea?
Three other siblings. Two older twin sisters, Daphne and Felicity. Then one younger brother, Bryce. Two out of three were on the show so you may have heard of them. They seem a fan of the warmth instead though. Summer babies.
I’ve not heard of a Gavin–.. Though I’m sure he’s brilliant.

It’s okay, that stuff happens. Anyway’s I’m Brennan O’Kelley, and I don’t believe we’ve done introductions.
My sincerest apologies. I must have confused myself and mixed up your words.

Yeah I’ve got an older sister, and a younger sister. Do you have any siblings to share the love for cold with you?
Yeah! He’s a small Irish man who shot for a few magazine’s back home. I’m not sure if you’d know him. His name is Gavin.
I wouldn’t expect anything else. What about your family? Any other siblings apart from step-siblings? London. Born and bred my entire life. Hence my love for the cold, half of my fondest memories are under twenty degrees.
Right! Hence the whole business part. Which photographer? Would I know of them? I model on the side as well, you see.
