there are things i agree were ass about early twf and bunnyfarm and such. i don't agree with the sentiment that "twf is 10/10 perfect" and i feel overhyping the old episodes does them a major disservice. but one thing that gets me about hate for the walten files is that it's like. unconventional art. it goes against what most people believe good art to be. even the new stuff. the shading with black. there are multiple different art styles across segments. the ways it's animated and how slow. the proportions of bon are inconsistent on purpose. the visual style has been developing up to this point and designs are constantly changing. so said people jump to making fun or not approaching it with respect instead of even trying to put together why twf might freak someone out aside from jumpscares OR examining why the art or similar bother them and if that's intended in some cases

Lots of people have been talking about this tweet from Eva (Walten Files writer, and Bon's voice actress) talking about David from the new minisode:

And obviously I love this because it's funny and super unhinged of Bon to just torment someone for his own amusement and I love that. But also in my mind I really like to think... I'm not quite sure how to phrase it. I do think that Bon must be quite bored being holed up in K-9, but I also like the thought that this behavior exemplifies just how much he loves himself, and loves his body, and revels in being what he is. I think he really relishes the power he has over people, and the fear he instills within them, and he deeply enjoys exerting and expressing it.
