This might be a hot take, but...

My biggest pet peeve in the doll community is when the term "mold" is used to refer to what is actually a "sculpt" or "cast." Sculpt: The original piece, as created by the sculptor. Cast: A copy of that sculpt. Mold: The thing that creates the cast. You make it from the sculpt.

Maybe I'm just being pedantic though!

Happy Christmas!!! Lux’s Saturnalia celebration went smashingly this year - not only did she somehow snag Zomby Gaga to headline, but the King and Queen of Halloween stopped by! Lain and Theo helped out a bunch and Luxie is incredibly grateful for her besties. 🎄💖✨

As everyone was settling down for winter break, Lux and Lain got caught sneaking some 🎄festive🎄fun 😳🙀💀🤣😜

Eternal ✨besties✨, they were both willing to take the fall. Luckily, they are otherwise fantastic students and just aced their finals, so they got let off with a warning this once!

I really love her face but I would like to know what kind of body she is on before deciding if I want to shell out.

I’ve been kicking around the idea to create a sort of hybrid of Monster High g1 and g3, with a bit of my own aesthetic flare to the core characters! There are still have a few tweaks I want to make but overall I’m really happy with them and I hope you guys like them too.

This is sort of my “proof of concept” for my “ideal” Monster High doll line – the g1 head / face sculpts combined with the g3 bodies and a slightly more detailed face paint style.

I do really love g3 a lot. Obviously I’m a huge fan of the improved articulation, larger scale, and sturdiness of the bodies. I actually do like the new headsculpts and even prefer the screening style of the eyes! But there is something so beautifully detailed and magical about Lily Martinez’s sculpts. They’re very “bjd meets bratz” in a way, with features that are both delicate and exaggerated.

Everyone got makeup and hair refreshes to make them a bit more glam and I had so much fun getting to work with each of the characters.
