Little Dragon - Twice (by johannesnyholm)
A very sad but addictive song heard on an episode of the new ABC's series Revenge. I have to say I really thought I would dislike it (Hamptons nightime soap ? Hurgh !) but the show keeps getting better and is genuinely captivating.

The excellent song from The Kasabian Incident, one of my favorite video from comedy band Dead Cat Bounce. With the hilarious
the Movember friendly
or the absurd

I had fun drawing this little "Christmas tale" last year, in my "I have to be as disgusting as I can" period. Enjoy !

I just heard this song. I had never heard of We Are Enfant Terrible, but I really dig this song so I may check the other tunes from the French trio.

I didn't see Fright Night but I love this music video from the soundtrack. The imagery used in it is very creepy (= cool) and I like Kid Cudi since How to make it in America. He always seems to star in bizarre but cool videos, like this unsettling (to say the least) short by Shia Leboeuf, inspired by the even more unsettling Belgian movie C'est arrivé près de chez vous (I'm totally not recommending it, even if it's a good movie.)

Heard twice during the latest episode of the Good Wife (309 : Whiskey Tango Foxtrot). The first notes are so haunting and back the scenes perfectly.

The reason why Community is the best sitcom on air : I saw this episode three times and never noticed there was an entire storyline going on in the background.

So, I checked Florence + the Machine because some people kept comparing her with Marina and the Diamonds. I don't see it - but I still like some of her songs, especially this one. Dogs Days are Over is also pretty epic, so check it out !

YouTube has two main functions : make you laugh, make you dance. The BadLipReading guys make you do both. Using music videos, they make hilarious but above all VERY catchy songs, creating lyrics by lipreading the singers, often creating songs that are actually BETTER. My favorite is Dirty Spaceman (don't google what it means) but I have to say the "I'm pregnant" line from
the odd sexiness of
the BeeGees intervention in
and finally the general craziness during
gave me endless hours of hilarity. Have a good laugh !

Things I forgot to put on my DVR-list-list
The other shows I watch
The Good Wife - season 3 Sunday, CBS
I think it might be the best political-legal drama I know. I was so into it I watched the two first seasons in a week. It weirdly feels like a cable show : it’s definitely a little risqué, but above all, it treats the viewers like they are not stupid (unlike a LOT of other shows) and doesn’t shy away from storylines involving racial issues or religion, for example, while other shows tend to ignore them or caricature them. Even the more trivial storylines (sex, love, family, etc) are written with intelligence and depth. To me, the only CBS drama that’s worth watching.
Once Upon A Time - season 1 Sunday, ABC
First : the title is lame. I really don’t like it and feel like the creators could have come up with something more original, less… obvious. See, “Fables”, the comics they definitely weren’t inspired by at all. As for the story, I’m definitely interested to see where the writers want to go, because for now I don’t have a clue. I’m a little annoyed by its “family-friendliness” that makes it even cheesier, but that’s just me - I like darker stuff.
Grimm - season 1 Friday, NBC
I’ve only watched the first episode for now so I can’t really say anything. I liked the pilot enough to want to watch the rest, even if I don’t really see what the show can bring to the genre just yet (after Buffy and especially Supernatural, let’s say the concept isn’t exactly groundbreaking). I really liked the general atmosphere and the settings and the characters are interesting, if not likeable (yet).
And, just for fun and for being snoby : in the pilot they imply that the Grimm brothers wrote the tales after witnessing the events. Except, didn’t Charles Perrault (among others) write these tales before ?

M83 'Midnight City' Official video (by m83)
There are numerous reasons why I LOVE How to Make it in America (it's hip, it's in New York, the characters are ambitious and well-written) and the soundtrack is definitely a part of it. I just found this great music video for M83 Midnight City, a song I fell in love with after hearing it last Sunday night at the end of the fifth episode of season 2, which has rocked so far (below, kinda NSFW)

OK, so after the sobfest created by the previous song (amazing but depressing Dinosaur Jr's Said the People), here's one to cheer everyone up ! Any which way sounds like it was a song from the Bee-Gees of the 21st century, only gay(er ?). I first heard of the Scissor Sisters with their hit I don't feel like dancing (which obviously has the perfect opposite effect) but only recently did I hear this one and watched the video which is just the badassest thing ever (slo-mo !! shattered glass !!). Other suggestion : Fire with Fire, real anthem of awesome
but, video-wise, nothing beats the extremely weird, art-film-ish Invisible Light
