ooc; hi! just a quick little psa that this blog (as well as my others) is going to be put on a hiatus/low activity. i’ve just been stressed about doing replies lately and my activity has been dipping a lot more than i’ve wanted it to. then i try to revive my blogs when i feel more creativity/effort can be placed into them but soon enough, i’m slacking again and i’ve just not been enjoying my time here as much as i was. i don’t want to drop my threads but i also have been incredibly anxious or stressed so, hiatus/low activity i feel works best for me. if for some reason that’s bothersome, we can drop our threads, it’s no biggie. i won’t mind. i just wanted to post a heads up so if you see me disappear for some time, that’s why.

mouth opened to say something - anything - before falling closed once again, her mouth suddenly going dry. what else was there for her to say? she couldn’t take it back. she couldn’t go back in time and just…not disappear. she knew there was lost time that she needed to make up for.she knew that there was hurt inside him and that it would take it a while for him to heal. she could sense it. almost like she could sense the fact that boyd was gone.
Tumblr media
when he pulled her into him, her eyes widened and she barely bit back a gasp. it had surprised the hell out of her, but she wasn’t going to complain. she hadn’t had actual physical contact with another human being in a very long time. and she was very glad it was isaac she was sharing it with. more tears came to her eyes and eventually slid down her cheeks as she felt his arms loop themselves around her waist, her own arms moving without thought to slide up his back, hands clinging to his shoulders. face buried into his chest, tears soaking through the fabric of his shirt as they held one another.
it seemed a lifetime before she pulled back to look up into his eyes, her own still shining. before she could stop herself, she stretched up slightly to press a light kiss to his lips - not really understanding what possessed her to do so. when she realized what she had just done, her eyes widened and her cheeks heated with a blush, breath catching in her throat as she waited to see what his reaction would be.

Isaac clutched onto Erica as if she were a life line. The wolf just allowed himself a long moment to process that she was actually real. He could still remember the moment Derek told him about her death, as if it were yesterday. Once their bodies parted slightly, his own eyes shimmered back down into her chocolate hues. The tall male was still taken aback by her standing before him that it didn’t really register to Isaac that Erica was closing the distance between their faces.
Tumblr media
His breath hitched when the other wolf left a light kiss to his lips, causing his veins to flood with shock but also comfort. Pushing his lips gently back into Erica’s, Isaac’s hands fell to her hips, holding the blonde in place softly. Digits curled around Erica’s form until he finally pulled back to peer down at her. The curly haired male could see the faint blush paint her cheeks, causing his lips to tug into a grin. “I guess that’s one way to greet someone who thinks you just came back from the dead.” Isaac’s voice dripped with a small playful tone.
“...Are you going to see Derek?” The male somewhat blurted, curious then at his former pack mate’s decision to finally reveal she hadn’t died. “If anyone should know you’re okay, it should be him.” His statement soft but filled with an honest note lacing his words.

“I sort of just left, without telling anyone. And I don’t really talk to Scott these days, or anyone, so I don’t know.” She started the car, pulling out of the parking lot and heading towards the animal clinic, figuring it was a start for finding Scott. “I overheard Chris saying you were coming, I’ve heard Scott and Stiles talk about you a lot. Call it… curiosity.”
Pulling up outside the clinic, Malia visibly tensed at the sight of Scott’s bike. “I’m Malia, by the way. I probably should’ve said that earlier. I’m not great with people. I mostly just hide in the loft all day and pretend I’m not here. Which I should probably go do, but, I guess you want to see Scott so, here you go.” She hadn’t set eyes on Scott since she broke up with him and fled the country, she didn’t want to see him now.
“They talk about me?” Isaac was all ears now, interested in what the two had to say. If he wasn’t out of it, he would’ve cracked a smile, mostly because he could recall the day he joined the lacrosse team and called the pair losers. “Is it good, what they say about me?” Blinking a few times before his eyes landed on the window and watched the scenery go by, Isaac huffed out a small laugh. “Call me curious.”
As the car pulled up to the clinic, he picked up on Malia tensing. “Malia.” Allowing himself to say her name as it rolled off his tongue, Isaac finally allowed himself to grin. “I’m Isaac. But, you already know that.” Sniffing a bit of anxiety from the coyote, his head tilted. Why was she nervous about seeing Scott’s bike?

Theo perked a brow at him, “That’s true, you came. Isaac Lahey, right?” It wasn’t actually a question. Theo had read plenty about this beta, just as he had everyone else. “Not sure they’d want you talking to me, but I can fill you in. We’re having a little problem with hunters mostly. Scott’s around… and Lydia. I think the rest are all new to you.”
The wolf simply nodded at his name, though the other male was unfamiliar. “Should I be afraid to ask why?” There had to be some reason that the rest of the pack of friends would discourage Isaac speaking to the other supernatural? “Hmm,” Scratching at the back of his head a moment, Isaac huffed out a small breath. “Hunters. Fun.” Just what he needed, to be welcomed back home by people who wanted him dead. “It sounds like I’ve missed a lot then.” Stiles wasn’t in Beacon Hills any longer?

her eyes downcast for a moment before she cleared her throat and wrapped her arms around her, forming almost a protective cage. with s sniff, she hastily wiped the tears from her eyes before she glanced at him and then off to the side. “ because - ” with just that one word, her voice broke, heavy with emotion that had been unspoken and hidden for weeks. “ - because i was scared. i - i’m not strong like you guys. i’m weak and emotional and no matter how much i pretend that i’ve changed - i really haven’t. not all that much. i’m still the scared, insecure girl i was before the bite. ”
she hesitated before her eyes moved up to meet his, shining with tears. she hated the fact that she had abandoned her pack. that she had run off when they needed her the most. but the fact was - she had. and there was nothing she could do to change it. “ i-i’m sorry, isaac. i’m so, so sorry. ” tears began to slide down her cheeks as she spoke, hand coming up to wipe at her eyes once again.
Isaac could see the hesitation lingering on Erica’s face, though his heart began to break the moment tears began to spill onto her cheeks. The wolf wanted to reach out and wipe away Erica’s cheeks but he refrained from moving, beryl orbs flicking downwards for a long moment as he just listened. The break in the blonde’s voice caused his heart to wrench further, Isaac’s lungs so restricted from lack of oxygen as he unintentionally held his breath that it pained him. Until he inhaled sharply, eyes finding his pack mate’s with ease.
Tumblr media
“I just wish that.... that you would’ve told any of us that you were still here-- that you would’ve told me.” Pausing, he accepted her apology, despite the lost time they didn’t have any longer. Losing everyone he cared about had destroyed a part of him, even if he refused to acknowledge how broken he really was. Erica and Boyd dying had left the wolf alone, especially after Derek kicked him to the curb. “It’s okay.” Isaac decided, cautiously stepping towards the blonde. Within moments, his arms looped around her, tugging Erica into an embrace. Relishing in the moment, the curly haired male knew that it had been a pretty terrifying time for the entire pack, he couldn’t blame her for anything or her choice to flee.

brokenxlahey - “I thought you were dead!”
eyebrows knitted together at his statement, a painful twist surging in her stomach. she knew that she had let the ones she loved believe that she was dead, but she had a good reason. or - good enough for her, at least. she hadn’t wanted to.
Tumblr media
“ isaac i - ” what could she say? i faked my own death because i was too chicken shit to deal with what was happening? no. she couldn’t say that. “ -i-i’m sorry. ”
Tumblr media
It was like staring at a ghost. Everything he’d believed about Erica being dead was a lie? He could remember it as if it happened yesterday because Isaac cared about them. All of them.
“...Why? Why’d you disappear?” Isaac wondered, voice holding emotion thickly in it. The wolf didn’t want to give her the third degree or anything. Isaac just wanted to know why. After Derek turned him, the curly haired guy had felt as if he found the family he’d always wanted in Erica, Boyd and even Derek.

“I guess not.” She shrugged, walking to the car with him. “And yes, well, I was a friend of Scott, I don’t really know anymore? But not important right now, let’s just get out of here.” Hurrying the last few feet to the silver vehicle, she unlocked it and slipped into the driver’s seat, quickly throwing the suitcase and the scarf in the backseat.
Malia was really only there to watch the loft while Derek was off for a few months, she’d been trying not to be involved with the pack. She’d gone off on her own a year ago, and she wanted to stay on her own for a while, but she also couldn’t say no to her cousin, so here she was, stuck in Beacon Hills again. But she would explain once they were further away.
Popping open the door, Isaac took a seat in the passenger’s side of the car. “You.. don’t know if you’re friends?” That sounded odd, causing a curious shift in his tone of voice. Watching as his favorite scarf was tossed into the backseat, it made a little more sense as to how she found his things, suitcase sitting on the backseat as well. “You went to the airport to pick me up.” Finally connecting the dots, he muttered to himself more than to Malia.
“Why?” The werewolf could feel his nose beginning to heal, his head fell against the seat. If Scott hadn’t sent her to pick him up, then who had? Isaac was out of it slightly, but still awake enough to ask questions.

There was the smallest bit of the old Malia left, the part that wanted to just run, it wasn’t like she knew the wolf, so why put her life on the line for him? But that didn’t stop her, she came to save him, that’s what she was going to do, especially after the way she’d heard them talking to the wolf. He was important to Scott, so he was important to her.
Once the last hunter fell to the ground, the coyote made her way over to the blonde. Glowing blue eyes studied the chains before she sighed, just gripping them before ripping them from the wall. It was easier to do for her since she wasn’t restrained by them. She doubted he had any idea who she was but hopefully getting him out would be a good start to their interaction.
“Come on, let’s go before they wake up.” She looked up at Isaac, ready to help him out and to her car so she could get him out of here. “I’ll explain in the car. Are you okay to walk?”
Relief flooded the wolf’s veins when the sound of the chains ripping from the wall caught his ears. Slowly, his eyes peeled open again, noting the sapphire color of Malia’s eyes. Nodding softly, he ripped the chains off his wrists and gradually rose to his feet. “I can walk. It’s just a broken nose, nothing to worry about too much.” Slowly, he shuffled away and towards the exit, each step quicker than the last. Isaac just wanted to find Scott and warn him that hunters were looking for him. “Guess I don’t need to ask how you found me.” Knowing she was a supernatural like himself was comforting in the moment.
Catching a glimpse of her vehicle hidden in the darkness of the night, Isaac continued to make his way towards it. “Are you a friend of Scott’s?” The curly haired male blurted, wondering how she’d tracked his scent and many other questions that swirled in his mind.

Malia had heard, accidentally through Argent that Isaac was supposed to come back today. Naturally curious, she went to the airport to see him, but he never showed. Any normal person would merely assume that he just decided not to come, that it was too hard, but Malia would never be a normal person. So she followed her hunch, headed to the baggage claim and found his suitcase. Clearly something had happened to the curly headed wolf, and she needed to find out what.
Sitting in her car, she drummed her fingers on the wheel before finally coming up with a semblance of a plan. Quickly unzipping the suitcase in the seat next to her, the coyote dug around until she found the blue scarf at the bottom of the bag. Sniffing it for a second, she got a lock on his scent and started the car, driving around, windows down until she pulled up outside a building. “What in the hell?”
Quietly slipping out of the car, she surveyed the building before starting inside. Maybe she should’ve called someone, anyone to come help her, but she was trying to just do this on her own. The scent was stronger the more she walked into the building, and more worrisome because she could smell blood, and hear at least five other heartbeats in the room. Hunters. Growling softly, the coyote inched herself in enough to turn the lights off before she made her way inside, taking out the hunters while they were blinded by the darkness.
Isaac bit his tongue back, knowing if he gave them the information about Scott and his whereabouts, the other wolf could’ve been in trouble. They continued to press, punching him in the face time and time again, a crack of his nose sounding. “You’ll heal. And after that? We’re gonna start with your ribs and then your spine.” One of the hunters chuckled, Isaac not even flinching at the roughness to his voice. “If you think a few broken ribs and a broken nose will give you the information you’re so desperate for, you’re wrong.”
Just as the burly hunter was about to strike him again, the lights were gone; blackness surrounding all of them. They began to argue over who was going to check the generator but then Isaac’s eyes flared golden in the darkness, catching a glimpse of a woman fighting off the hunters. Had someone come to his aid? Pressing the back of his head against the wall behind himself, his tired eyes snapped shut, ears concentrating on the sounds of the fight going on.
Her scent was different, a scent he’d never smelled before. Who was she and why’d she come and find him? “Damn it! Someone stop her!” One of the men cried out, seriously pissed off. Being restrained in any sense was never ideal for Isaac. It reminded him of the many times his father locked him up, sealed him in the freezer.

“I’ll never tell you a damn thing.” The werewolf’s jaw so tight, he feared he’d break it. Battered and chained to a wall, Isaac panted lightly, spitting blood onto the floor beneath himself. Hunters had captured and taken him hostage after he’d stepped off the plane in Beacon Hills. Now? He regretted returning as they had already tortured him, exhausted eyelids heavy but beryl orbs narrow like darts at the few men circling around him.

“I came, didn’t I?” Isaac hadn’t been particularly happy coming home to Beacon Hills. There were too many memories, too many reminders at every corner. “So, why don’t you fill me in? Catch me up to speed on whatever’s been happening.” He’d always have a sense of loyalty to the few he left behind and if there was trouble, Isaac would gladly help. Argent had called but had been pretty vague.
