CEK-077 Beguir-Pente

Almost single-handedly responsible their reputation for high-performance machines, Grassley Defense Systems' Beguir line of Mobile Suits was nearly always at the cutting edge of weapons technology.

Specifically developed to counter Mobile Suits that made use of the GUND-format, their advanced technology and construction were essential to carry out their intended function. By A.S. 122, their most advanced production anti-GUND machine was undoubtedly the CEK-077 Beguir-Pente.

Designed as a successor to the CEK-040 Beguir-Beu, the Beguir-Pente incorporated and improved on many of the systems utilized in the design. Featuring improved Non-Kinetic Effectors and extensive uparmoring compared to its predecessor, the machine was far more durable than previous Grassley designs while still maintaining the high-mobility the company was known for.

In addition to live-combat, the Beguir-Pente was also used in civilian training contexts, with several units being in possession of the Asticassia School of Technology's Grassley House.

The unit - as standard - was armed with a dual-sensor Beam Rifle, the additional targeting systems providing it with nearly unmatched accuracy at mid-to-long range. For melee engagements, it was also armed with a beam saber.

The Non-Kinetic Shield which housed many systems for the Effectors was also equipped with the "Antidote"-system. This advanced electronic warfare suite was capable of weakening, and in some cases outright disabling machines that made use of the GUND pilot-interface system.

The CEK-077 Beguir-Pente was designed by Kanetake Ebikawa for the 2022 anime Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch From Mercury.

The MD-0064 Darilbalde

Of the 157 member corporations of the Benerit Group, Jeturk Heavy Machinery was doubtlessly among the most influential, founding one of the four main houses at the Asticassia School of Technology.

Majorly involved in the mobile suit arms race, the corporation is responsible for a number of influential designs that can be seen in the hands of many factions across Earth-Sphere. As a proof-of-concept for their next-generation machines, Jeturk Heavy Machinery developed the MD-0064 Darilbalde.

The standout feature of the Darilbalde was its advanced unmanned drone technology. While superficially resembling the GUND-BITs used by GUND-ARM mobile suits, the system did not require any technology which utilized Permet. This was a point of pride for the corporation, boasting of the machine's lack of so-called "cursed technology".

The machine was also capable of being either semi or completely automated, as demonstrated in a duel against the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial. The automatic system was susceptible to deception tactics. as it was overwhelmed by an otherwise easily predictable feint attack.

At the conclusion of the duel, the Darilbalde was heavily damaged. The machine was recovered by Jeturk Heavy Machinery and was repaired and refitted. With an upgraded thruster assembly, a new ranged-primary weapon, and improved shields, the refitted Darilbalde was a force to be reckoned with.

The refitted Darilbalde also saw real combat, engaging in a no-holds-barred battle against Grassley Defense Systems' CFK-029 Michaelis. The battle ended in a stalemate, with both mobile suits being rendered combat ineffective. The Darilbalde would be completely destroyed, with its pilot ejecting just in time.

The Darilbalde also served as a means by which Jeturk Heavy Machinery's own GUND-ARM platform, the MDX-0003 Gundam Schwarzette, would finally be completed.

The machine was initially developed as a collaboration between Jeturk Heavy Machinery and the Shin-Sei Development Corporation. Following Guel Jeturk taking over as CEO of Jeturk Heavy Machinery, the Schwarzette would be modified to incorporate GUND technology, in addition to utilizing several technologies originally tested on the Darilbalde.

The MD-0064 Darilbalde and MDX-0003 were designed by Ippei Gyoubu for the 2022-23 anime Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury.
