[[ Ngl I could seriously see them developing a relationship based on their friendship of circumstance and it becomes something much deeper than either of them expected. They both have so many differences as well as similarities that they could easily go from just friends to romance with a little time. Love the mutual pining idea too. They're both so caught up in their project that they don't really discuss feelings too much but inwardly they're both building such respect and admiration for one another that it turns to affection and- oh, ugh, I love it! ]]

"Oh, no, no, no, I'll get the water for you," Charlie replied immediately. She shifted slightly, moving Vaggie to recline on the pile of pillows so she'd be more comfortable.

She paused for a moment and brushed her thumb over the crest of Vaggie's cheek, just below her eye. "Of course I'm gonna go slow and check on you. I love you." She tapped a kiss to the bridge of Vaggie's nose.

"Uhm, just a few people. When I was younger, I didn't need blood all that much but my mom got blood for me. And I'm used to feeding on Hellborn," she admitted.

"I drank from my ex a couple times but not often. I don't need blood as much as my mom does, so I can go a much longer time without blood with little detriment to my abilities. Whereas, for my mom, she needs to drink pretty consistently to maintain her strength."

Charlie's hand stroking her cheek was surreal. She had never felt this kind of care before. The attentiveness. The kind of compassion that she knew would remain real, even the next morning. Her hand traced up to join with Charlie's and she sighed.

"I'm more than fine..." she whispered, looking up at her. She smiled. "I'll get some water in a moment. Thanks...thanks for checking though."

She giggled at the golden blood on Charlie's fangs.

"Not used to people going slow and checking on me. You're amazing..." she ran her hand through Charlie's hair. "How often have you fed on people? You seem experienced."

She hadn't expected Vaggie's blood to taste like that; still metallic but oddly sweet in a way she couldn't explain. It was almost intoxicating, in a way, and Charlie kept drinking. She was almost lost in the high until she heard Vaggie's voice and she snapped out of it. Charlie pulled back, her mouth stained gold before she licked her lips. One of her hands moved from Vaggie's blouse, gently cupping her cheek.

"Are you ok? Did I drink too much? Do you need a snack?" she asked hurriedly, concern clear in her features.

Her eyes darted to the bite mark- two clean puncture wounds with the outlines of her other teeth dotted in a circle. "You might bruise a little..."

Vaggie stepped into the room, a smile on her face. She turned to Charlie and happily sat down with her, pulling close and giggling under her breath.

"Hmmm... this is already nice..."

And then when given instructions on how to remain safe, she nodded. "Yes, ma'me."

She tilted her head back and sighed, starting to take deep breaths and she felt Charlie preparing to draw from her. She relaxed. Her own arms linked around Charlie and she let out a soft moan when she felt her girlfriend's teeth sink in. The drinking wasn't as painful as she had anticipated and in fact as her gold blood rushed out she actually felt somewhat high from it, knowing she was supplying Charlie with something. She simply focused on Charlie and not so much the act itself. Not like she was particularly squeamish anyways.

"...hmm, mi amor..." she whispered.

She took her shot in one go and smiled as she felt the warmth spread through her body. The pleasant feeling of alcohol mixed with the glee she felt in Lucifer's attention was enough to make her giggle.

"Sounds like a good night to me. And I couldn't think of anyone I'd rather spend it with than the one who makes me happiest in existence."
