There are several things wrong:

1. Dostoyevsky is still alive - that son of a bitch;

2. That rat has wiped out all the Abilities throughout the world;

3. Chuuya doesn't know why Arahabaki is still inside him; why his Ability - which had supposedly been wiped off the face of the Earth - is still writhing inside him, waiting to be unleashed upon humanity;

4. If Arahabaki was still inside him, then there would be a possibility that Chuuya would lose his temper, thus activating Corruption;

5. If Corruption were to occur, there would be no one to stop him; no one to lead him out of that infinite darkness;

6. Chuuya is only able to use Corruption one last time.

To save Odasaku from his fate, Dazai is willing to disappear. He doesn't know the pain he causes with that. He doesn't know that he leaves behind two brokenhearted men who were in love with him. But, even if he did know, this is something Dazai is ready to do to save Odasaku.

Waking up in a tank that fills him with wary memories, Chuuya is separated from the world he once called his own.  Staring out at people who view him as nothing more than an experiment, Chuuya is used and discarded, stripped of his Ability and everything that made him human.

hi! i've a question, how do i know if am i accepted? i did a sign-up but i am afraid because i think that i did a mistake in the relationships between the characters and i also don't know what kind of person is the one that i offering the fic so ;;;

hi there! if you did sign up but didn’t post it yet, you missed the deadline and someone probably pinch hit for you. but, please, don’t feel discouraged! you can post your work at any time in the Gifts collection (which will remain open so people can post whenever they feel like creating a fanwork for someone) if you did send it and it’s not showing up as accepted on the collection, it’s very possible there was some issue. so, if you could contact me privately, we can sort it out (i’m vidronoliquidificador and it’s totally fine to dm me).  either way, i’m sure the person you created something for will be excited that you made something out of their prompt. it’s always fun to get a gift!

If you created something for someone else from their prompts in the event, you should post it here: BSD Angst Fest 2019 - Gifts But no worries! This collection has no deadlines and you can post in it at your leisure.

There were some mistakes and some people already got informed of gifts from the Gifts 2019 collection already (sorry!). The Gift Collection isn't open yet so you shouldn't be able to see the works in there yet.

Some works may still be added or updated (sometimes RL is just a mess).  You should be getting an email from AO3 linking to your gift and here is the link so you can enjoy all the angst we collected so far! The authors will be revealed on the 5th, but feel free to comment (and try to guess who is your gifter, if you want). Have fun!

A reminder that if you don't think you will manage to post it by the deadline and just need a little more time, talk to the mods asap. You can still edit your story (after posted to the collection) until the works reveal.

If you decided to drop out though, please remember to default on AO3 so we can know and seek a pinch hitter as fast as we can.

Schedule Update! (extension)

Considering offline life stuff needing attention and quite a few people requesting more time, we'll be moving the deadline to Monday (September 30th) and the reveal of the works to October 3rd. This way pinch hitters still have a little window to work, in case anyone needs to drop out (if you do, please let us know as soon as possible). If you need more time than that, let's us know so we can work it out with you.

The updated schedule shows in the collection page with the timezones and you can check it at any time. Posting your assignment and/or your gift

So you finished your assignment already! That’s fantastic. No need to worry at all if you didn’t finish yours yet tho (deadline is still September 28th!).

But what to do if you have your work all ready to go? You have two options to post your assignment.

The first one goes like this: you go to the BSD Angst Fest 2019 Collection profile. There, you will find the option post to collection.

From here, you will find that it is a very similar process to adding a new work to AO3. You fill out the fandom, characters, tags, summary, etc, etc.

It is important to notice two things:

Make sure that you check the box for your open assignment.

Also make sure that your work is being posted in that specific collection.

If you are an anxious person like I am, you can also add your giftee (the person you are writing for) in the part that says “gift this work to: ...” .

The second method you can use to post your assignment is by going to your assignments page.

There you will find all your unfulfilled assignments. The BSD Angst Fest 2019 should look somewhat like this:

You should click on fulfill. In this case, the box will already be checked and the collection will be already listed so just go on with the details of your fic and published it.

It will NOT appear in your works page until the day of both the works and the authors are revealed (October 1st and 5th). You will still be able to edit it and you will be able to see it in the collection, but, to everyone else, it will appear as Mystery Work for now.

Now you are all done with your assignment (yay!) and you saw a prompt that called to you. Or you were just browsing and felt inspired by a prompt. Or you didn’t sign up and now want to join. Whatever the case is, you wrote the story and it’s time to post it. This is a different process.

You will go to the BSD Angst Fest 2019 Gifts profile. You will have to click in the Post to Collection option.

This will ensure that your work will appear in the gift collection as part of this event.

As this is not an assignment but a gift, you will have to add the username of the person you are writing for by hand.

Notice that the name of the collection for the assignments and the gifts are different collections. So check that.

In this collection, your work will also appear as a Mystery Work until the collection and authors are revealed (October 8th). If you have any doubts, talk to a mod or send in an ask here or on twitter.

   We will be waiting for you in the Discord Server to scream over the works and gifts as soon as they are revealed!

Remember that you don't have to sign up to create gifts and that you can create as many stories/art pieces you feel like it and at any time you want (no deadlines!).

We just ask that you post your gifts in this collection: GIFTS. This way, it's still part of the event.

(we'll post later a tutorial of how to go about posting in the collections in case you are a bit at loss with that, so don't worry. Have fun with the requests, I hope you all get super inspired and, please, remember that if you are participating in the main event, we ask that you don't tell which prompt you chose to work with!)

The 15th is the last day to default (aka drop out of the event) without being blacklisted to the next year’s edition.

The assignments are out, so now what?

First, you will get an AO3 email a bit like this:

The prompts requested by your giftee will be listed in this email. You are required to pick one (1) prompt to fulfill. You do not have to inform anyone about which prompt you chose and we ask that you try to be as secretive as Dazai to keep it a secret exchange.

Hint, tease, have fun! But please, don’t out your giftee or the prompts you got.

Check the bottom of the email as well:

You are not obligated to join the Discord Server (that’s just for fun!) but check the bottom in case of a message from the Mod Team.

If you have any doubts on what to do, contact a mod and we’ll try to help you out.

After this, your next step is posting your work or defaulting. Defaulting means you are dropping out of the challenge, so be careful to not click it unless you are sure that’s what you want to do.

Go to your assignments page on your AO3 account:

There you will find a list of challenges you joined. On the right, under the name of the challenge, you will find this:

You may fulfill your assignment at any point. Click on fulfill and post your fic. A reminder: you must post it in the collection, gifted to your giftee.

If you do not post your fic in the collection, it will not show up as an anonymous work and will not be counted as part of the exchange. The collection should be pre-selected when you click on fulfill, but be mindful to not uncheck it.

If you click default and give up on the challenge, consider that there is a deadline to do so without being unable to join the next Angst Fest.

After you have fulfilled your prompt, those options will be replaced by information on your challenge:

There will also be a link to your story and you may edit it to your heart’s content until the deadline. Notice that the story will not show up on your works yet! This is not an error and it will show on your works after the stories and authors are revealed.

When the works go live, your story will be listed as written anonymous until authors are revealed. If you reply to comments during the time authors have yet to be revealed, your comments on your own story will show up as anonymous. This will also change later. Your username will show up once authors are revealed, so again, don’t worry! It’s all part of the game.
