Hi!!! I know its been years at this point hahaha but I love heartbreak prince so much and I was wondering if you think you’ll ever update it?
you are so valid for this question, anon.
i have had the whole thing outlined forever and a giant document filled with out-of-order scenes for Chapter 2. trust me when I say this has been an item on my to do list that, unfortunately, has frequently had to be moved because of ~life~ 😭
all that to say: yes, I want to update it. i don't know when exactly but hopefully as a summer project.

#dark rise#dark heir#honestly to me Dark Heir solidified that I'll follow Pacat's prose writing career for as long as they keep publishing.#I think their work requires patience but rewards it 10000 fold. Both book 1s of CP and DR were difficult to get through but WHEW#Book 2 of both series have been wild and harrowing and emotionally investing rides. Honestly amazed with their skill on how they do this.#The prose is alive and paces relentlessly. The reading experience ITSELF is so enjoyable.#For whatever nitpicks can exist about the books the experience of reading them for the first time is really what makes them unforgettable.

#dark heir#dark rise#this fanart encapsulated so many of my favorite things about this book#Dude Dark Heir punched me in the stomach repeatedly over ~500 pages and I thanked it and kept going.#Also you can really see how Pacat leveled up. there's so much complexity happening across all portions of the book.#DH was a tough balancing act but they NAILED it.#Anyway brb fucking OBSESSED with Visander. Hope he and Philip somehow enjoy a drunken wild night together.
