3 dad jokes a day keeps the horrors at bay 9-1-1: S8E3, Final Approach

buck coming home to tommy after a long shift. tommy, stretched out on the sofa, immediately opening his arms, making space for him. greeting him, quietly, softly, with a, "hi baby," as buck lays down on top of him, knowing that tommy will easily, happily, take his weight. settled, comfortable, buck murmurs a soft greeting back, slips a hand underneath tommy's t-shirt, rests it against his side, strokes his thumb there, taking comfort in the movement, the warmth beneath his palm. hums, as one of tommy's arms moves to wrap around him, hand coming to rest against his back. holding him close. secure.

"good shift?" tommy asks, and brings his other hand up to the side of buck's face, heart swelling, overflowing, as buck presses into his touch.

"mm, yeah. long. missed you."

tommy smiles, eyes soft, crinkly, and says, "i missed you, too, kid." slides his hand down, then, to cup buck's jaw, and leans forward to kiss him. undemanding, soft, again and again. saying, hi, i missed you, i love you with every press of their lips.

a second passes, and then two, and they pull away.

buck drops his head, then, tucks his face into the space between tommy's neck and shoulder. stays there. tommy relocates his hand to the back of his head, and scratches his fingers, gently, into his hair. places a kiss to the top of his curls. buck hums, and melts, entire body sinking into his boyfriend. content. safe. home.

Happy One Year Anniversary to my favorite couple/freaks. This will always be iconic to me and I cherish this scene forever. BuckTommy has been and will always be famous. 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Tommy is Abby's ex fiancé

Chimney saves Tommy's life

Tommy saves Bobby's life, therefore giving Bobby and Athena a chance to meet and for Eddie, Buck and Ravi to join the 118 under Bobby AND giving Bobby 8 more years during which he finds happiness again

Tommy leaves the 118 and is replaced by Buck

Tommy saves Eddie's life by dropping water on a burning house he's stuck in, after being contacted by Chimney

Tommy steals a helicopter to save Bobby (and Athena) again after being contacted by Chimney again, which leads to Buck and Eddie meeting him, which leads to Tommy and Eddie becoming besties, which leads to Buck being jealous, which leads to Tommy kissing Buck which leads to Buck figuring out he's bisexual

Tommy is Buck's only love interest that got Bobby's approval (and the only one that ever will)

Tommy shows up to help save Chimney's life, even after breaking up with Buck

Tommy is a pallbearer at Bobby's funeral

(and obviously so much more to talk about in regards to Buck..)
