Next borne Headcanon chatter cuz im thinking bout it lol

(My AUs will tend to be pretty lgbtq + poly/ENM friendly, expecially in the Ace next gen - am i self projecting?? Absolutely)

What ive come up with :

A V ship with gao/ noboru/ikazuchi:

Gao is the mutual (hinge) in the ship, but i wanna make noboru/zuchi a QPR ?? Hopefully its done justice , i just know poly stuff bahah

The only comfirmed cishet couple are prolly suzuha/kanata - i cant see any queer headcanon there

Unique HCs:

Gao- omni/ambi - very flexible , but a strong attraction to masc/neutrality or a mix

Ikazuchi- Unlabeled/poly - Has a bit of a masc lean.

Noboru- Androgyne/Pan/ambi- Since the crossdressing incedent , a connection with feminine traits developed slwoly over time, along with their current masc traits

tasuku- aroace . i honestly never cared for the character, but he always came off as someone more intrested in work/maintaining friendships and helping others than any of that- tasu/gao felt forced

Sophia - unlabeled- possibly on the ace spectrum due to fluctuating romantic/sexual attraction. Finds shido the only thing to cause any type of stable feelings .

Shido- Non binary/Polysexual-

Stopped considering themself a "mere dude" ages ago, thinks of theirself as a entirely different being.

lil bit of a Next borne preview!!

Its gonna take a lot more work- adult designs , ship lore as i paired folk up across seasons (somes obvi , some are more "hear me outs" and others i want a challenge to work with), buddies , and kid designs...

Yota project and organizing old stories with my new setups are more on my radar so ill be doing it in my spare time so designing is all ill have to do

These may change and more characters may be paired or more/less kids may exist!

Introducing light/subarus kid, Botan Hoshiyomi!

An aspiring fashion designer , he takes pride in his work , and has a fascination in astrology. Hes a bit subborn in his ways most times , but hes a overall calm and chatty guy

With subaru:

His actions speak louder than his words, as hes very mute around him . This dad obviously cares a lot about him , keeping and wearing his first design he ever made as gift , helping him with projects, going to his events , helping with homework , etc.

With light:

Its a bit of a struggle- they dont speak as much as either would like to anymore. When he was younger light was always there caring for him, but he took a turn when he got sidelined for mamoru, and consequently quit his job (he thinks he may have been laid off instead.) He put his sadness into work instead and ever since they lost the connection they used to have , as botan got a bit upset he would put work over him for years.

Starting with Light kurouzu and dr. subaru hoshiyomi

They met during subarus collage internship at the buddy police in forensics , they ended up working a case and the rest was history

light kurouzu:

He grows into a full buddy police officer- however he still felt like he was treated like a trainee from back then , and was even cast aside for mamoru , who he trained for a bit .. wanting to find his own path, he retired early and broke out on his own as a P.I while sometimes doing security for events...

Dr. Subaru Hoshiyomi:

Subaru quickly rose thru the ranks , being able to easly get thru collage and grad school with ease. Since he was able to get everything done quite quick ,he ended up goin thru a ton of internships and gigs , untill he found his calling as a collage professor and lecturer, thanks to lights suggestion

i used to have a SU × buddyfight AU where the version of steven just said "fuck it. We game" and wanted nothing to do with his gem side and just wanted to cardfight .. good times .

(I eventually merged him into my gem story since the design was wildly different , but his story now is for another account ofc)

the tragic tale of miko mikono (the original miko concept)

tws are in tags , if ya ignored that and the mature warning its all on you

miko mikono:

miko was a kindly gal. she was strongly interested in yuga as the gang got older , but yuga was starting to be more drawn to ranma.. she was too shy to ever exclaim her feelings, and then it was too late.. yuga started dating ( and later ended up with) ranma . to escape her woes she started to instead pour her energy into the cafe and good deeds... which led her to spending more time with dan yamada , who was sentenced to community service for a prank gone wrong on his channel. curious of the reasoning to his behaviour , he did the one thing noone ever thought of doing : talking to him. she tried to help him and saw a potential in him: she ended up dating him for awhile , redeeming him and teaching him how to be a better person while slowly introducing the new him to the gang, and finding him new passions in reporting and making his channel actually good , apologizing and making him popular... he loved her and how someone finally listened to him how kind she could be under any circumstances . however the relationship and later marriage was rough on both of them: miko pushing yugas personality on him and her ideal relationship, while dans mental issues was slowly rising to the surface , with him becoming more depressed and trapped . .. so dan made a tough decision to cut miko off and end the relationship , which kinda broke her for a bit. .. it didnt last long for him as he immediately wanted her back, but alas it was too late, as miko had complications from the kid and dan was instead was rushing her to the hospital ,and died having to take the kid out early..

This post is also a wip since i gotta at least read the wiki until i can either buy or find the manga somewhere, and rewatch ace and take notes cuz wiki im using has legit stubs for info

- Aibo academy (that got destroyed apparently?) Got a replica rebuilt at some point and is the sister school of WBA . It covers the earliest days of school (even has a day care) to middle school while WBA covers the rest

-ima assume that whatever time shenanigans that happened in the manga/side story eventually went back to normal and if it doesnt , my story will make it happen a la main character magic .

-I can redesign miko into a actual decent design now. Ill still post the og concept art and story , ive just now decided ill instead do somthing else , which youll see soon , since Ill be posting the og story for em still in case i decide otherwise or because some aspects are gonna be similar

Miko Mikono [Now owns the cafe . Under heavy watch at times by dan and her GF due to a S/H attempt]

Eden [She bounced around a bit, started in nursing school and finished it even, but pursued a passion for business instead. Shes a certified accountant now , currently in business school . Shes working up thru the ranks and is dajis right hand man]

(This pairs gonna have like three grade school kids with one that was adopted in thats around the crews age , her kid with dans the oldest and is the cafe heir)

Haru Mikado [ that one cool uncle in his prime ,babysat for the ranga kid when he was little and visits at times.. either in college or just got out, and is studying abroad. hints toward a GF whod likely be a original character or generic brown hair lady thing they do for insert games]

characters thatll need a ace binge for me to decide their relevance to the story :

note (have a faint idea involving dan/seji but ill do a binge first) , kanesada, kazuma/sayaka

theres a meiru here and if hes in ace i may pair em with note? ( or may do it anywho imagine the edge on that kid?? lmao)

next gen kid: noritaka onizuka

masato and banjoes girl, a rough and tough lass with a need to fight (almost) everyone in games of skill (and cards too)

shes obsessed with control, and has a high level of charm and confidence.. well except when shes around eido , whom she has a super obvious crush on, but cant seem to make the connection

she was denied leadership/membership in aibo academy's safeukai, so she crafted a modern, more better version expanded to anyone of any age .. shes gained quite a army , to her two fathers dismay. (she calls it the safety society)

with masato : hes the annoying dad in her eyes .. always wanting a game of catch or somthing (she can pitch a mean ball) , always wanting to help, always wanting to know what shes up to ... they used to be close when she was younger but now hes just too much

cant he just stop???

with banjoe: she adores this dad and looks up to him.. however she takes way too much after him in his baddie days which worries banjoe , but the best he can do is advise and be there when she needs it , so she can find her own path.

Ace gen au pairing no.1

my first pair is masato rikuo , paired with banjoe onizuka!

this is the old married couple of my AU, they met in their 20s and were quick to settle down and marry.

banjoe onizuzka:

banjoe backtracked a bit post ace. he still learned a great deal from battling masato back then , but got himself into a lotta gang troubles and a lotta (unintentional) issues . when he met him once again he was in quite a low point- but masato helped him rise up once again. he now is a afterschool counselor and enjoys editing work for novels in his spare time - hes requested a lot , due to his big ideas!

masato rikuo:

hes rarely ever changed. played most of his sporting teams in collage and was (and still is) a in demand coach , but meeting banjoe altered his perspective (and perhaps a few sporting injuries that messed and scarred up his body) - theres more than life to sports ! he changed his studies shortly after, and now is a gym teacher and coach at aibo academy.

(he still does the linkdragon chant, ofc)

Seiji [former therapist , now a model and part time eboy lmao]

Dan [influencer , assistant diector, field reporter.. has made pretty good connections thanks to miko rebranding him before any damage to his rep could be done when he was still a paltuber.. his son has took over his old channel with the occasional updates ]

Masato [Aibo academy gym teacher, lives a simple life as such]

Banjoe [afterschool counselor, book editor. Full of ideas and it shows, since he gets quite a few regular clients.]

Light [P.I, went private after retiring from the buddy police]

Daji [currently running his inherited empire. Is invested ions future TV station]

Ion [Idol, is starting up a tv station and plots to steal Dan from his current station]

Ramna [house husband , takes collage classes for fun... tv and movie editor]

Yuga [glitch streamer (play on twitch) and high ranked competitive gamer]

Mamoru [ a Buddy police mascot - spent the dough on him to be the new "boy wonder" with tons of hero-like gear ]

Welcome to my buddy blog! This is for a more detailed look at my buddyfight AUs . Ill be putting art here first before my main, and lore i write in my main will go here too

for these stories keep in mind that most ,if not all, pairs didnt end up together until both of them were early adults or fully grown adults ! (its also why haru will likely be with a rando or alone in the ace story) tried to make sure there wasnt age issues from couple to couple , each story of theirs are made so they had a chance to meet after ace (or in the og generations case a different light or cloned by the baddie for any nonesensical pairs) when , its a bit hard for this show since there wasnt any clear ages for a bit

The yota project : a story following some collage age kids set even more after ace , with some stories shown from the past on occasion , other stories following the parents and other ace characters and their business at times. Oki , yugas kid and a budding artist , was given free reign to his grandpas yotas comics after he found em cleaning out the attic .

FCBF : NBC [next borne chaos] (hiatus until i get thru with other art and plan it- its a lotta stuff to sort out)

A little self indulgent "fanseason" set a fair amount of time after buddyfight X all stars (ace in this story will be void due to different choices ill be makin )

A mysterious guy has been compiling the DNA of famous buddyfighters for the past few years - but for what reason?

Ill have vanguard brainrot one day, and when i do, this accounts for that too

I might keep the gao hybrid aspect but as a add on have actually normal non lab made kids too
