A Prompt How To

One prompt, it turns out, just wasn't enough for us this time 'round. So we decided to be more creative with our prompts. (Really, it was just us picking through old Pinterest boards and sharing images back and forth).

With this event run, there will be three (yup you read that right) categories to choose from:

There was no particular criteria, the only criteria we really had was, "It's giving Buffy x Giles Vibes™️".

We're confident we've compiled a decent picking for all you lovely authors.

All we want to know is which Photo/Quote/Generated prompt inspired you. DON'T WORRY, we'll provide you with a step by step guide on this very page on how to upload images to you fic if you don't know how 😉. Feel free to mix and match, combine, blend, or just use one prompt for your fic. Pick one, two, three, or all of them, there are no rules.

Who can participate?

The event is open to anyone who ships Buffy x Giles, we only ask that you please follow the rules.

I'm not a shipper, but want to participate, can I still do the event?

Although we prefer this to be something for shippers, we welcome anyone who wants to take up the challenge, but please note, the fic must at least be Buffy x Giles friendly.

I need more info or have other questions

Official Dates

We're happy to announce the dates for this year's writing event‼️

Prompts will be released on the 1st of July

The event officially opens on the 1st of August and will run until the 30th of September.

Special Note

While the event runs between August and September, it will remain open for any late submissions. But note, any work submitted after the 30th of September might not be featured here on this page, and will not be included in the round up that follows immediately after. It will, however, be included in future round ups or "Favourite Pick" events.

In the following weeks leading up to the 1st of July, we'll be reminding everyone of the event rules. All important information will be available on this page or the AO3 Collection.
