i think theres something that goes missing in a lot of writing for like . weirdguys . where people try to make a reader insert relationship with them quite typical and normative when to me the charm is how weird and unconventional a relationship with them would be . this is abt l death note but i see a lot of posts where it's a reader insert and they sorta . gently warp his personality to fit with their idea of a traditional relationship ? and totally no hate to people do this but i think part of the charm is imagining ways different or 'weird' people would define a relationship. something about having a different or even nonverbal way to say 'i love you' something about having your own traditions something about a relationship not quite being romantic but not quite being platonic because thats the only way you can define it. idk. more weird unconventional relationship for weird unconventional dudes.
