"So have you talked with that guy?" She asked abruptly. There was a moment of silence before he shrugged and replied, "He snapped me but I only opened it; I didn't respond." Her eyes grew wide as she sat up a little strighter, "So that's it? You're not going to do anything else?!" He let out a loud sigh, which she ignored, as she continued, "Damn! If you ain't gonna do anything with him then send him my way! Stop being so selfish!" For a brief moment he was stunned by her pouty attitude, but he quickly recovered letting out a bark of laughter. The irony here was too much for him to handle.

It just so happened that the thing they needed the most was on the very top shelf in the store. Taking the distance in with a measured glance she stood on her tip toes, arms stretched far as they would go, reaching towards her prize. "I got you. Come on," Her sister said in a determined voice. "Are you crazy?! I'm too heavy! Here!" Without thought she stuck her leg into the shopping cart and leveraged herslight frame up giving her just the right amount of height to grasp the Christmas lights. As she reached for her second box a worker passed the aisle doing a double take. "Do you guys need help?" He asked his eyebrows pulled down in a deep frown as he took in the sight of them two. And boy was it a sight. With one leg stuck in the shopping car she froze for a moment trying to calculate how much trouble they would get into. Then, withhout thought, her left hand came up in a sweeping motion, still holding the box of lights. "These are not the droids you are looking for," she stated summoning her inner Obi-wan. To her astonishment the man let out a deep chuckle that changed his entire face. The smile seemed to relax him making him appear more friendly. Without missing a beat he waved a careless hand and continued walking calling out from over his shoulder, "As you were."

I caught my puppy staring off towards the kitchen her ears up, her body ridged with alertness. I began to stroke the back of her head and neck in a soothing motion and murmur sweet words. But all had failed to relax the puppy who's eyes were fixated on the kitchen. Letting out a deep sigh I glanced towards the empty kitchen and then back towards the puppy. Clearing my throat, I mustered up my most commanding voice, "Whatever it is that you see you best be telling it to to away."

The boat beneath her feet lurched to the side as she grasped at the railing trying to focus on something other than the rolling sea or the death that littered the deck. Don't throw up! Don't throw up! "Just let it out!", came a shouting voice. " I don't know why ye're fighting it so much. It sure would make ye feel better.", came another. "With all due respect, I don't think there is anything left to let out." Keenan muttered through clenched teach. Her knuckles turning white as yet another wave began to toss the boat from left to right. Waves higher than she had ever seen seemed to wash the deck clean causing her to shiver violently. At this exact moment the deck hand, Joshia, let out a soft chuckle. Keenan didn't have to look to witness the smug smile and mocking brown eyes. It was in his tone and the way his body brushed against hers as he slid behind her, "That's what they all say." Supressing a soft moan along with the desire to call the infuriating man ever name in the book, Keenan made her way back into the tiny cabin in hopes that the warmth and lack of sea would sooth the illness away. The small cabin was filled with other victims of the great sea. Finding a spot to curl up on Keenan finally felt some comfort. "Care for a sandwich?!" Came the enthusiastic voice of the mother figure onboard the boat. Keenan shook her head as she eyed the cold cut fixings with disgust. With a sympathetic look the lady began to ask the same question to the other young seasick victims. Unfortunately, the smell of the food along with the tossing of the sea had Keenan struggling up and rushing out. Grasping the railing her already emptied belly spewed out bile repeatedly before her already weakened body gave out. The railing her only support and comfort as she thought about her misfortune. "I knew you still had some left," came Joshia's taunting voice.

Sometimes, I fail at life. Sometimes, I make promises that I end up breaking. Sometimes, I am consumed by my deepest and darkest fears, but no one knows. Why you ask? Well it's all quite simple. I smile. I laugh. I pretend all is well. I put on one of the best damn shows you've ever seen just so no one would dare notice just how flawed. How damaged. How useless. I truly am. So please, continue to applaud and lavish me with your praises and remarks about my performance. For it feeds my starving soul.

A conversation I had with my Mom.
Mom, " Hey, you want a magnum?"
Me smirking, " A magnum condom? No thank you I don't need any of those."
Mom smacks me, " Oh my gosh I meant the ice cream!"
Me smirking, "Don't need any of those either."

Inner peace
"What in heaven's name are you doing?" Came the raspy demand. "Savoring the feeling of inner peace." Leo said flipping the wayward strand of hair that fell into his face. "Why is it bothering you?" Kain shrugged his large shoulders, "It makes me itchy." "It makes you itchy?," Leo parroted eyeing his companion as though he developed a contagious skin condition. "What in heaven's name is that suppose to mean?!" Kain just smiled as he threw his arm around the older man, "Wouldn't you like to know."

Out for a stroll
....She quickened her steps trying to keep up with his long stride. Her urgent need to understand overwhelmed her timid nature to the point where she would do anything to continue the conversation. With out much thought for her own wellbeing, she carelessly shifted her body in front of him forcing him to come to a jerking halt."But what happens if he changes his mind?" Mimicking her earlier movements, he shifted a step closer not caring that his closeness caused her to take a retreating step back or that there was a hint of vulnerability in the depth of her green eyes. "I don't allow how I feel to influence my faith," he growled not bothering to hide his frustration at her inability to trust those around her. Without another word he stalked through the double doors leading the mages quarters...

Klaus: "You're crazy, man. You're crazy. Crazy!"
Luther: "I'm not finished."
Klaus: "Okay well, sorry, I'm just gonna go murder mom. I'll be right back."

It took one mitton.
"He hit me with a mitton," SR cried out as he gingerly touch his painful cheek. Keeping one eye on his large attacker SR edged towards where his friend, Imbar, stood by the door. "Be careful he has another one!" Imbar called from the door way grinning slightly at his master's sudden misfortune. If looks could kill Imbar would have been dead with the look SR shot him. "You're not helping!" Unknowingly giving his attacker an opening, SR found himself roughly grasped by his shirt front and thrusted against the bookcases that lined the dimly lit den. Having Mr. Rackaray in his face and gun in his belly had SR feeling faint with the memory of the last bullets that pierced his flesh not a month ago. Without meaning to he called upon his friend in a horsed voice, "Imbar!!!" Without fail Imbar was beside his master in seconds. Grasping Mr. Rackaray's forearm firmly, Imbar applied just the right amount of pressure to cause the smaller man to cry out and drop his gun. "Now now Mr. Rackaray," he said in a soothing tone as he jerked the man around and swept his legs out from under him. Firmly pinning the man beneath his knee. "Let's not ruin the books, I just got finished organizing them, and dont get me started on the carpets! Do you know how hard it is to get blood out of a carpet?!"

Splish Splash.
He was massive. There really wasn't any other word in the English language that would best describe the man who stood, hip deep in the swirling hot waters of the spring, not five feet away from her. Perched on the boulder overlooking the steaming spring, her body gave off a false air of careless confidence as she survaid the man in question. He stood about six foot seven. Tall, she mused for a creature of his kind. He had jet black hair that curled at the nap of his neck. His skin, a darker complexion, seemed to almost shimmer in the steamy bath. She couldn't help but be fascinated with the way in which he seemed to splash around in the water. Like an enchanting water nymph. Her face turning a shade pink at the site of his exposed naked flesh. He hadn't noticed her spying and she was planning on keeping it that way. Hearing the distant sound of a familiar horn, she knew her time was up. Letting out a small sigh she eased herself slowly off the rock not wanting to disturb the man before her. Keeping her gaze fixed on his backside she didn't notice the wet cluster of leaves that were underfoot. Letting out a startled yelp she lost her footing slid the rest of the way down landing with a solid thump on her behind. With her heart in her throat, she held still listening for him. Taking an inventory of her senses she knew she was well enough to make a mad dash for safety. Forcing herself to take a relaxing breath, she shifted her feet under herself before saying a little prayer. Not about to waste time, she surged forward only to be cut short by the hand caught in her hood. Letting out a high pitch scream she began twist and flail her arms against hard wet flesh. Her attacker let out a grunt of pain as her foot came down on his foot. Her struggles were quickly suppressed as her hands roughly pinned her to the nude wet flesh of his abdomen. "Not so fast, little one." he murmured as he bent his lips close to her ear. "We have lots to talk about."

Donuts, cure for all.
..."Will you please stop eating?!" Licking the last bit of glaze drizzle from her thumb and index finger, she gazed up from her reclined position on the sofa eyebrow raised, "Excuse me?" "Ugh! Can you please not talk with food in your mouth? You know that is so unladylike." Kenton groaned aloud as he crossed his long legs in a smooth motion. A smile began to grow as she watched her dearest friend once again launch into a lecture on how ladies do not speak with their mouths full. Knowing that such a lecture could last for a good ten minutes, she snagged the bag of donuts from the table and began to rummage through it for just the right one. When she found it she pulled it out and tossed it at her chatty friend,"Will you just chill out and eat a donut?!" He caught the donut out of the air, his eyebrows raising in shock. Letting out a deep sigh he took a delicate nibble, "Donuts are not everything you know." "Mhmm," She wiggled her eyebrows at him as she studied the look of pleasure that began to spread across his face...

Broken again
....Gazing up at the ceiling he tried not to think about the emptiness he felt. Just as he was about to give in the door to his small room began to rattle on its hinges as someone pounded hard on it. "Wake up you big lug!" That voice could only belong to one person his landlady, Wynn. A very pretty woman who had a curvy figure for someoe who was so small. She was very pleasant and kind spirited however, at times such as this, she could be a real pain in his neck. As the pounding continued he rolled from the bed, knowing she wouldn't leave until he had opened the door. Sliding his gun back under the mattress, and headed to the door. "What?!" He growled as he jerked the door opened. He had to suppress a grin at her startled face as she jerk back a step. Not bothering to hide the annoyance from his eyes as he gazed down from his superior height at his landlady. She seemed to have recovered quickly because she glared right back at him, hands on hips, her tone dripping with contempt, "Oh excuse me your highness. I did not know what you were soo busy. I just wanted to let you know that your rent is past due, again!" Dammit, he had completely forgot about that. Well, considering what he had been about to do he couldn't fault himself for forgetting to pay the lady. Letting out a grunt he padded over to the bedside table where his wallet sat. As he pulled out the desired amount, he turned to find his landlady to be standing in the middle of his measly room. Feeling a little vulnerable and exposed he cleared his throat and held out the money for her to take and be gone. “Here," He said gruffly. Turning to face him she smiled as she positioned her body intimately close to his, "Thanks. Now take a seat." Laying her hands carefully his elbows she shifted him and gently nudged him so that he sat on the bed with a little bounce. Standing between his knees she gazed into his eyes before raising a brow and stating firmly, "Now don't go all grizzly on me and bite my head off, but I need to take care of your wounds before they become worse. I can already smell the infection so don’t try to deny it, okay?" Shocked by her gentleness he nodded his head trying to not notice how his heart began to beat again....

Audio
...He stood there in shock as it dawned on him the identity of the emotion that was spreading throughout his chest. "Impossible," he denied swiftly. "Nothing is impossible, Rourke," Came the soft reply. "Why don't you just sit on down and we can figure it out together." As if doused with cold water his gaze cut at the source of his sudden new found emotion. "Perhaps," he murmured as his gaze softened just a little. As his body slowly began to relax, he flexed his fingers and took a seat behind his desk. Picking up the file, his mind began to wander about the foolish idea of loving...
