Mothpaw is apprenticed to Fiercestripe.

Rootclan, a clan of cats who live in a dense grotto, is wiped out by Stormclan raid in retaliation for their mediator’s death (killed by the clan leader, Thunderstar (bloodthirsty, thought what he was doing was right) as a declaration of war  

The only survivors are the previous deputy, and the leader’s kittens that they protected

Significant casualties;  

Thunderstar (142m) lost last five lives to Stormclan’s deputy

Willowbriar (141m) Bitterstar’s mate/Sun and Moon’s mother 

Rowanshriek (82m) medicine cat 

Rainjaw (45m) Mudpatch’s mate
