The joke that Bender tells (while crawling through the ceiling), but never finishes, actually has no punchline. According to Judd Nelson, he ad-libbed the line. Originally, he was supposed to tell a joke that would end when he came back into the library and said, "Forgot my pencil," but no one could come up with a punchline for the joke.

Take On Me (based on The Breakfast Club movie) - If This Ain’t Love (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/1454713870-take-on-me-based-on-the-breakfast-club-movie-if?utm_source=web&utm_medium=tumblr&utm_content=share_reading&wp_uname=TaraNorthman John Bender is known as a criminal at Shermer High School. His rough exterior and rebellious nature make it easy for people to label him as a troublemaker. However, beneath the surface lies a complexity few have bothered to understand. Angela Williams is the opposite of John, a shy, studious girl, admired for her intelligence and kindness. Despite their differences, fate brings them together when Angela needs a partner for a science project. Skeptical at first, John reluctantly agrees, and Angela’s unwavering belief in his potential begins to break down his defenses. Based on the 80’s teen movie The Breakfast Club and the question many asked, what happened on Monday?
