ICE is in Los Angeles conducting raids and arresting families and children on their way to their court dates and raiding workplaces. Trump has called the National Guard in to stop protestors and is spreading a false narrative about violence, raiding, etc. to distract from the fact that ICE is abducting children in a SANCTUARY CITY.

Do not look away, do not be silent. If you or a loved one is detained by ICE, stay silent except to ask for your lawyer. Keep your documents on you. Call legal aid foundations who are standing by.

If you are NOT in LA and want to help, you can contact rapid response networks and ask how to help or donate. Donate to ACLU, the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund (MALDEF), or the Immigrant Defense Project.

From Gaza we write a story of hope and life 🤍

In the heart of the war, specifically in April 2025, the Isnad initiative was launched with the effort of a team of university students to provide a safe and free space to study for themselves and other university students face one fate of displacement and the destruction of their homes, universities and infrastructure.

We aspire to expand the workspace by renting a larger place to benefit 40 other students. The cost of this will be $3500 per month with tax fees.

Contribute to the continuation of the initiative and to support Gaza students.

you cannot talk about the homophobic murder of jonathan joss without including in the conversation that he is indigenous.

american indian men are at the 2nd highest risk of death by murder compared to all other ethnic groups. in their lifetimes, 82% of native men report having experienced domestic violence. yet the overwhelming majority of perpetrators are non-natives (88% of native men and 92% of native women who reported violence said their attacker was non-native). what’s more, tribal governments are often stymied in their attempts to bring justice against non-natives, meaning that many of these cases go unresolved.

this was an intersectional attack. the fact that he is indigenous matters, even if the motivation was homophobic, because it made him even more vulnerable and disposable in the eyes of his killer.

hii a couple weeks ago, me and my sibling had sort of a harrowing time preparing for/being part of the hosting family of a potlatch in terms of being gnc in a family that has very strict and narrow ideas of gender within tradition and it like sort of heartbreaking so I just wanted to say hi hello your art is so beautiful and it means so much to this queer kwakwaka'wakw guy. not silly at all! when you subscribe to the sticker club tier (deep), you're essentially paying to pre-order the sticker that's featured that month (including the other stuff i bundle in, like access to the paid patreon posts), so i think it's more the latter in your ask if that's what you mean. the checkout process will ask you for a shipping address which i then log manually into my own mailing list. you can sub and then unsub before the next month if you just want this june one, which will let me know to remove your address for the next sticker after that. let me know if that explanation helps!

i've gotten lots of comments on my 2021 art of raven as a two-spirit interpretation, here; i've continued to reflect on it as new people keep talking to me about it. i've esp thought about it in relation to how important transformation is as a concept in tsimshian culture and oral history. reflecting on the famous adaawx of him stealing the sun, i imagined the sun giving off its rainbow of light and enveloping him, and likened that to a phoenix, which are also symbols of transformation. i'm very proud of this design!

i'll be honest, it's been a weird month in an already weird year. my gf and i had a really close call in our first ever car accident a week ago. we're miraculously unhurt, but we easily could've been, badly. this and other events just have me reeling, and are humbling me. i'm grateful and lucky to still be here. lusila̱ksu - i'm building my fire inside. even when it's so, so difficult
