For those that aren't in the know the American Association of Museums is the place to be. And due to a generous grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation we got to visit and make this  video.

For those who may not have made it out. Our opening to the #NEWSFEED reading series went great. Uzodinma Iweala had some poignant things to say and Teju Cole had some stirring questions. It was a beautiful crowd and we'll see you the next one August 30th at MoCADA.

Doing research on our upcoming catalogue by familiarizing ourselves with the work of fellows past. Great read if your not hip to the pixelating series.

These are some pieces from the South Asian and East Asian Galleries at the Minneapolis Institute for the Arts. The image to the left is an image of Ganesha, a Hindu God (coincidentally the one I like the best) and to the right is an image of a Guardian of a Buddhist Temple, two of these were placed outside of the temples to guard them from negative energies.
I always say that if I did not specialize in Arts of the African Diasporan into the Caribbean and Latin America, I would have specialized in either South Asian or East Asian Art.

I did not get a chance to record the credit for this piece, but it was also at the Walker Art Center.
Another of my favorite pieces at the Walker, it just made me feel like I wanted to be inside of the clothes, very whimsical - very intriguing.

This is "Third Eye Vision" 1999, by Nigerian Born - British Raised artist Chris Ofili. It was at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and one of my favorite pieces of art that I saw there. This is just a detail, however.
