goodbyes are T.E.A.R because things like tears are a luxury. there's no such thing as beautiful goodbyes, so just begin now. take it easy, slowly carve out my heart. that's right, that’s right, gently step on the shards that have shattered. so that regret, regret, such a thing will no longer be left; please burn up my heart that was torn into shreds. that's right, right there, what are you hesitating for?

Movie nights had recently become a thing between Jaemin and his close friend. They decided that it would be a good way to wind down after dealing with stress and the outside world, as Jaemin liked to call it. His job wasn't the best, and he always had to deal with an array of different people and the personalities they brought with them. Though at the end of the day, he danced for them and they helped pay his bills so he learned to smile and grit his teeth when people couldn't see it. With all the snacks and drinks laid out on the table, he had already made himself comfortable on the couch and helped himself to a few. "Are you almost ready? I'm going to eat all of this without you!" Jaemin called out to the other jokingly.

“I feel like a toy when you use that term,” he said with a frown on his face, his one hand resting in his pocket lazily. “Well, you must have really liked me to keep calling me and asking me to come see you or the other way around,” Myeonjin said, letting out a sigh before looking back at the other. “I guess you can say you like me, but how do I know it’s not just for your own benefit? Now I’m second guessing everything.” He went on to admit, chewing on the inside of his cheek slightly due to his own nervous habits.
"We can still play if you want" he smiled warmly " Not that you want to play with me any more" He looked at Myeonjin for a bit. "i mean it wasn't all just a ploy to get your soul. I do like you still just love is a stretch"

Hearing that Taejoon never really did dates well had him curious. “Why don’t you? Do you just get nervous about them?” He asked, his eyes scanning over the drinks that were on the menu briefly. “Pork belly is probably my favorite food when I can have it, but I do try and limit myself or else I would probably eat my weight in it,” he admitted sheepishly with a small laugh following. “Why don’t you think you’re hot? I think you are. And I’m not just saying that, I mean it.” Jaemin went on to tell the other as he looked at Taejoon once more, eyes scanning over him. He was certainly attractive and anyone else would have to be blind not to think the same. Jaemin was sure the opinion would be universal. “What’s up with your cousins then? Do they give you a hard time?” He asked with a frown. After a moment, the waitress was coming over to them and taking their orders happily.
"I mean it is a jack ass move but i but even i was a bit afraid to come tonight. I dont do dates well" He said shaking his head. He looked at Jaemin for a bit. "Pork belly sounds really good" he nodded. "I'm not hot" Taejoon laughed shaking his head. "as for my Patience it was more not wanting to put up with my cousins when i get home"

He would admit that he was busier than usual lately with work and it put a strain on their relationship. Despite that, Kyungtae loved Jieun just the same. But he knew something had to give, they needed to have this conversation and he was willing to admit that he needed to maybe take a step back from all the business and take some time for the two of them. Hearing she still wanted things to work had him sighing out in relief. Losing Jieun was an unsettling thought, given how much the man was crazy about her. He reached over to gently take her hand into his, the pad of his thumb massaging circles into her hand. “As do I. I love you and I’m crazy about you, I know work has been getting in the way a lot but those feelings haven’t diminished. However, I know I need to maybe take a step back from the movie sets a little more often and focus on personal matters...” Kyungtae trailed off, he was willing to have someone help him out on an odd day of the week every so often to make quality time with Jieun happen when it came down to it. Though with being a film director, he would have to make sure the person filling in was trusted and knew what he wanted but he was determined to fix the things in his personal life. “We should plan to go somewhere. Maybe somewhere we’ve always wanted to go? Spend time there for the new year? What do you think about that?”

jieun stays quiet and waits until his words sink in. she is aware of what she’s doing, putting words in his mouth and pushing him away before things become too catastrophic for her to handle. it isn’t fair to him or her for her to cling onto old habits that are remnants of her past failures of relationships. “i do.” she responds quietly with a nod, refraining herself from closing off again. she hasn’t always been so jaded, so eager to self-sabotage. “i want it to work if it’s with you.”

He had to agree with the statement. The staged breakup had caught a lot more attention than the original scandal itself. It was probably due to the amount of dramatics that the girl brought to the table with her, no doubt. As they stood there in brief silence, Myeonjin was internally freaking the fuck out. Screwing their relationship up was the last thing he wanted and the fear of losing the older male was scary to him. Feeling the hands on his shoulders, he visibly relaxed them, a small sigh escaping his lips. Closing his eyes for a moment, he reached up to place his own hand on Jongin’s. “I know,” he said softly, opening his eyes again and making eye contact with his boyfriend. “I just… I don’t want to feel like I’m mooching off of you, that’s the last thing that I want,” Myeonjin finally confessed. He genuinely loved his boyfriend and he knew that the other male was there for him for whatever he needed but this time, Myeonjin tried to do things on his own and it certainly wasn’t the best idea. Giving the older males hands a gentle squeeze, he gave him an apologetic look upon hearing the follow-up question and letting go of Jongin's hand. The money he was given was enough to pay for his books and that was one of the main things he kept needing. “They gave me a little over two thousand. They asked for couple-like photos before the break up for extra and I told them no. I didn’t want to overstep as much as I already did with you…” Myeonjin found it crazy how some social media stars were. They did anything to get some likes and exposure and that just wasn’t something he particularly liked. “I’m sorry I didn’t come to you, I’m sorry for getting myself into that mess. But you… you are quite literally the only person I have ever been this into and this committed to.” And that was true, Jongin had been the only one and that was why Myeonjin was so terrified that he messed things up royally. "Do I have to move my things to the couch for tonight?" Myeonjin couldn't help but ask.
jongin blinks as he digests the story blurted out too quickly — but he did set the time limit himself. “something must have gone wrong, since the staged breakup caught a lot more attention than whatever dating rumours there were in the first place.” at least said rumours never reached him, before the so-called breakup occurred. his headache throbs even more from the explanation, his fingers rub his temple as he tries to process it still. “myeonjin, jin-ah — ” he takes a step closer to his boyfriend at last, his hands resting on his shoulders. “how many times have i told you that if you’re short on money, you could just tell me, hm? we can figure something out.” unlike what his existing social circles might indicate, jongin didn’t go through life with complete ease either. though he was born into a family wealthier than most, the fallout hit him hard and he knows what it feels to be so broke that even the next meal is a cause of worry. it is somewhat of a miracle that he found an out from scriptwriting among all things, but he can empathise well with myeonjin’s situation. “did they even pay you well, at least?” his anger has subsided by half right now, replaced by the concern he feels for the younger man.
#/ jin is a little bit of a big idiot but he means well haha#/ also sorry the reply is a little long <3#❐ : ❛❛ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀interactions 〳 myeonjin.

The issue is that he was fairly broke and putting himself through university was hard. His stupid choice had come from a moment of desperation, and he happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Myeonjin knew that his boyfriend was going to be super angry with him and that much was deserved. He hadn't been thinking straight when that social media celebrity stumbled into him at the cafe last week and caused a scene. At the angry words, he couldn't help but flinch slightly while his eyes caught the sight of the photo in question and his stomach turned again, much like it had been all day and on his way home. "I -- I ran into her at the cafe last week and got tied up with her when our drinks got mixed and I guess it looked like we were together because we were talking. She's well-known and people had gotten the wrong idea, word spread and they contacted me, asking me to meet up to stage a break-up." Myeonjin blurted out in a panic. He was fully aware of what an idiot he was but the idea of losing Jongin freaked him out even further. "I was thinking about paying for my school books... I should have run it by you, and I'm so sorry." He finished, looking at the other male with guilt in his eyes.

it was supposed to be a joyous day for the screenwriter. his script was picked up by a respected company and the start of a production was always the most exciting. he didn’t expect the tone of his day to have changed in only a minute as headlines caught his eye and for the news regarding his boyfriend to be plastered on every forum. it is almost ironic enough to be hilarious — he’s the person to write dramas, not the one to be sinking it in. “oh, so you can explain this? enlighten me.” his gaze remains cold yet scorching all at once as he waits for the man to explain himself and whatever fiasco he’s been caught in the middle of. jongin rummages for his phone in the pocket of his jeans, before swiftly clicking on the screen. “you have one minute.”

"Okay, thank you," he breathed out in relief. Pushing the menu toward the other male gently, Jaemin offered a small but genuine smile. "I'll cover the bill for kind of being a jackass," the dancer admired the other male carefully. He had nice cheekbones, a sharp jawline and plump lips; he didn't know why more people weren't lining up to take the other out. "Me? I could really go for some pork belly." He mused happily, his eyes lighting up at the sound of food. "So... tell me about you. I know you're hot and seem to have some patience for idiots like me, but that's about it."
"Yeah I'll still eat with you. I'm starving" Taejoon nodded he was a bit upset still but he wasn't going hold it against Jaemin. He sort of understood he had never thought the date was real in the first place. Jaemin was the attractive one not Taejoon but he wasn't ready to admit that. "what were you thinking of eating"

Myeonjin frowed further as the explanation was given. He felt used, disappointed and sad all at the same time. "No. Lying would be worse but I do kind of wish that you were honest from the start..."
"I'm a demon baby boy" Hoseok said. "I wasn't built to love. to make you feel good maybe to lust for sure but to love no " he smiled then looked at them for a bit. "I could lie to you would you like that?"

Jaemin blinked slowly at what was said and he shook his head slightly after a moment. "Not you -- but most people do, yes. I dance for people's dirty money, it doesn't sound exceptionally awesome to most people." He pointed out with a sigh. "How could you not? Someone as handsome as yourself was wanting to give me the time of day." Most viewed him as someone you took home after a night out, not someone who was date-worthy. "Still willing to eat with me?"
"Are you expecting me to judge you?" Taejoon asked watching Jaemin for a bit. "So im a baker your a dancer we each live our life." Taejoon left out that his own cousin had dated at Stripper and that he was still friends with the man despite what Haneul wanted. "So I intrigue you? How so?"
